CHAPTER ONE
ICE CREAM
As I was walking down the hallway with my books in one hand and my bag phone in the other I could not help but look at the normal bustling of students, I was still looking at the passing by students I heard a familiar voice .
"Hey Jupiter" jack greeted
"wassup" I replied .
Jack and I go way back we were good childhood friends but after a while he moved away but now we ended up in the same high school together in our final year and we have been catching up ever since.
"Nothing much I just came back from lectures as u can already see" he said as he did a little twirl.
"You always behave so stupid do u know that" I said as i giggled
"Just to make you smile my lady"
"Sissy" I replied with a smirk
"Ouch my heart" he said as he put his hands on his chest
"Enough with the drama c'mon let's go"
As we walked to the cafeteria Jack continued to make silly noises, he's lucky I'm doing therapy or else I would have shoved my pencil down his throat .We got to the cafeteria just in time for the second time this week and the benefit of this is that we do not need to wait in a cursed long line because of peeps that do not know what to choose ,like seriously just choose any freaking meal it isn't that hard.
"Jack you are slowing me down" I said while dragging his hand
" Chill sweet cakes, we are already here early no need to fuss"
"Jack lemme educate you on something we humans call time, cause right now in a blink of an eye that line can be so long that it may take us a whopping 30mins to get our food' I said still dragging him by the hand .
We had almost reached the food counter to order food when Tyler my best friend decided to blocked us. I tried to move Tyler out of the way but he still kept blocking my path
"Look Tyler i know u wanna talk but right now food is essential for my sanity"
"At least give a guy a hug what would you do without me?" he said as he opened his arms signaling me for a hug
" Fine" i said while rolling my eyes
I hugged him tightly so tightly that...
"Jupiter, Jupiter!!! to tight … I can't breath" Tyler said while gasping for breath.
Jack pulled me away from him forcefully, as I battled to remain stuck to Tyler's body
"You wanted hug right? lemme hug you then" I said while still struggling to remain hooked to Tyler's body
Tyler pushed me away forcefully and at the end I lost the battle they succeeded in pulling me away and Jack held me back just incase i decided to hug Tyler again and kill him this time
"Jupiter calm down" Tyler said while using his eyes to tell me to look left
" why should I?" I replied still trying to release myself from Jack's strong grasp on my hands
" Hey Jack take it easy on her" a familiar masculine voice said
I turned to find the blue eyes of Zeke Balker my crush well to be more specific the crush of most girls and some guys. He is just so handsome he is so body built with his flat muscular chest but i stay away from him cause some say he is a bad influence and just so you can know he is not the captain of the football team he isn't even on the football team. He is on the gymnastics team like damn bro and this is the first no the second time he has noticed me apart from during our gymnastics practice like when in school we just pass each other by like we don't know each other.
"Hey bro" Jack greeted still holding my hands very tight
" Sup dude" Zeke replied
"How's mom?"
I also forgot to say Jack and Zeke are family friends, not surprising right.
"She is good" Zeke replied while smiling
"Hello, Jack have you forgotten your holding a human being!!!" I rudely interrupted
"Shit sorry" he said as he let go of my hands
I looked at my hands and I thought I was gonna cry, my hands were pale like white it showed no signs of blood circulation. Once again I turned to see the line then I just picked up my bag, my phone and literally stormed out of the cafeteria with tears in my eyes because the line was full and I've been starving for hours, I didn't even eat that morning .
"Jupiter!" Tyler called out I didn't reply but just kept walking
" Jack you've done it now, Shit!" Tyler told Jack before running to catch up with me
" Sorry bro we are gonna have to catch up later, Jupiter has gone wild" Jack told Zeke
"Wild?" Zeke said looking confused
" I'll explain later"
Jack ran up to catch up with the two of us , as he reached us he put his hand on my shoulder trying to comfort him I being very angry and very hungry flinged his hand of me and started walking faster
"Jupiter where you going?" they both said
"Home!!" I yelled
" your really ditching last period, you never do that you have never ditched school" Tyler said
"She's just overreacting she can't do it" Jack said in disbelief
"Ohh yeah, just watch me do it "
I walked to the car park and sat on my black and red motor bike, I wore my helmet, started the engine then zoomed of. Tyler and Jack tried running after me but i out ran them and left school
"She actually did it" Tyler said in awe
*Later that afternoon*
I lay on my sofa staring up at the ceiling thinking about what I just did. I've never done this before in my entire life.
"Ughhhh this is going out of my record for consistency'' I said to myself
" What the fudge was I thinking?" I said as I used my hand to hit my forehead
I stood up from the sofa and walked to the kitchen but before I could reach the fridge there was a knock on my door I knew it wasn't Tyler cause he would literally just walk in the house liked he owned it . I giggled at the thought and went to open the door.
I opened the door just to see Jack and Tyler with ZEKE BALKER!!!! what in the world was he doing here?? I tried to remain calm but the thought of my messy living room and seeing him at my door step almost drove me crazy, I really hoped that I wasn't blushing hard. I cleared my throat and spoke
" What are you doing here? " I asked with a firm voice
" Jupiter we are very sorry we didn't know you were that hungry" Jack said trying to crack a honest joke
" And what is Zeke Balker doing here, is he supposed to beg on your behalf or what?? "
" He was actually following me, he wanted to visit my peeps at home" Jack replied
" Yeah, while we were going Tyler brought up the idea of checking on you" Zeke said
" Did he now?? " I said in disbelief
Tyler who hadn't said anything since he got here looked at me with sadness in his eyes but I looked away
"Look I'm very busy guys we will talk tomorrow" I said with a fake smile and shut the door on them
" Jupiter I'm sorry " i heard Tyler say from the other side of the door.
I had no choice than to open the door again. I looked at Tyler who's eyes where filled with tears
"Jeez fine i forgive you no need for tears" I said while pulling Tyler for a hug
'' It wasn't your fault, kind of, so your this emotional huh? "i continued
"Okay guys lets go time waits for no one you remember we still have a project to work on "
I waved them goodbye and before I could close the door Zeke stopped me
" What is it now? " I asked
" I know we don't talk much..."
" we don't talk at all" I interrupted
" yeah so I want us to get to know each other better "
" Okay?" I said in a confused tone
" So can we get ice cream together sometime maybe on Saturday?" Zeke asked while he scratched his head nervously
" By what time? "I said almost blushing
"Anytime you chose"
I thought of this for a while and I knew I had a lot on my schedule on Saturday but i knew I was free like an hour and a half by 6:00 pm
"Okay ummm 6pm"
" Its a date" he said with a really geeky smile on his face
" Yeah a date" I said as I blushed
" have a nice evening " he said before turning around and running to catch up with the guys
I close the door and as I leaned on it I sighed and after remembering what happened a let out a loud
"YES!!" I said as I smiled hardly
I then remembered I needed to call my parents who were on their two months honeymoon in Florida.
# And this is where it all started from I didn't know that this would lead me to a lot of difficulties.
