They thought he was cannon fodder, but he was actually a monster. A huge silver gate that could reach the clouds suddenly appeared in the world. People were randomly disappearing and summoned by the gate for a trial. When they returned, some of them got treasures that gave them the ability to fly and wield magic. They were called Exonns. LIGHT OF JUDGMENT BOOM! The demons were annihilated. --- Exonns sneered. "How could a cannon fodder dare to fight a demon's army alone?! Does he think he is a hero?!" Team

In the morning, Rhys drove a car toward the meeting point.

"Why can't you just fly?" asked Fu.

"I have to preserve my light energy. The mission might immediately start when I meet my team. I have to be ready."

"Did they tell you about the mission?"

"Not yet. The team leader should tell us about it."

Fu fixed his eyeglasses with a round black frame while he was thinking.

Rhys looked at the weird rabbit. "Why are you wearing eyeglasses? You don't even need them."

Fu chuckled. "Kid, I know that I am smart, but do I look smarter now?"

Rhys also chuckled. "You are right."

"Eyeglasses make me more intimidating."

"Who told you that?"

"No one. I learned it after watching and reading Detective Poss."

Rhys shook his head. The rabbit liked watching rabbit MCs.

They reached Enberg City, then they went to a park. There were two members who had already arrived, and the penguin was also in the park.

"It really is Argam," thought Rhys with a helpless smile when he saw the penguin.

"Kid, are you not happy to see me?" said Harty with a tease.

"How can that be? Did you not see me smiling?"

Harty laughed. "It looked like a helpless smile to me. Don't worry, I'll cover your back."

"Don't believe that sly old bastard. He'll be the first to run away when there is danger," said Egon.

Harty chuckled. "Kid, it's called tactical retreat. I'm the brain. I leave the fighting to you all."

The rabbit looked at the penguin with disdain.

Harty smiled at the rabbit. "Kid, you will understand when you reach my age."

Fu sneered.

"Where is Argam?" asked Rhys when he couldn't find him in the park.

"He will arrive when all the members are here."

"How many members do we have?"

"There are four of you."

"Four?" Rhys looked at the other member who was reading a comic, then he looked at the penguin and smiled. "Are we enough?"

The penguin seemed to understand the meaningful smile of Rhys, then he laughed. "Kid, it seems that you have an idea about the mission. It's fine, trust us."

Rhys nodded his head, then sat on a bench and talked with Egon.

The rabbit flew and floated in the air as he joined Rupert in reading a comic of detective Poss.

Both the rabbit and Rupert were holding their eyeglasses as they thought and guessed the killer.

"It's Miller."

"It's Tom."

Both of them made their own guesses. Rupert looked up at the rabbit and sneered. Fu also sneered at four eyes.

Rupert turned to the next page.

Detective Poss pointed his finger. "It's you, Emma!"

Rupert and Fu had an unbelievable look on their faces. They read Detective Poss' deduction and felt convinced."Detective Poss is so smart."

They looked at each other, then laughed. They seemed to have found a new friend.

Harty shook his head. "Kids."

Then he continued playing games on his phone.

The last member of their team arrived.

Aria was flying with a flustered look on her face."A-Am I late?"

"No," said Harty, which relieved the elf.

Argam arrived in the park. "Our mission is to investigate the increasing cases of missing people in Enberg City. I already sent you the information. Do your own investigation. You could work together or move on your own. Let us meet again in the evening and tell me the result of the investigation."

Argam and the penguin left. The four members remained in the park and held a meeting.

Aria looked left and right. She was not sure what to say. Egon had a look of impatience. Rhys was thinking while Rupert and the rabbit were touching their chins as they thought.

"It's definitely related to the demons," said Rupert.

Fu nodded his head. "I agree."

"The authorities had already begun an investigation. Actually, it should be Argam's main mission in coming here as a Tier 3, and he should already have information on his hand. Our investigation might result to the same information that Argam have, but our ability will be tested as we try to gather information," said Rhys.

"I have the same thought," said the rabbit, causing Egon to look at him with disdain.

"I think this is not a normal investigation for new exonns. Aren't they afraid that we mess up?" asked Rupert.

Rhys smiled. "If we mess up, it means we failed, but the association should already be prepared for that. They should have a plan for why they included us, and we should go along with it."

"Do you have any idea what is going on?" asked Rupert.

Rhys smiled. "We just have to do our roles which is to investigate. You three should move together, and I will move on my own."

Egon chuckled. "I smell a battle."

Meanwhile, Argam was lying and resting on the rooftop of a tall building while Harty was eating popcorn and watching the bustling city.

"It looks like that kid, Rhys, have an idea about the mission," said Harty.

Argam chuckled. "Didn't we expect that he would at least have that kind of capability? If he doesn't, then you wouldn't be here on the rooftop while nonchalantly eating."

Harty chuckled. "Yeah, that kid should be able to lead them."
