3 The Revelation

The black van came to a halt a few meters from the gate leading to the western graveyard. There was a sense of death around the place and even thought the two of them were inside a vehicle, they were still able to feel it in the air.

Within the confines of the van, Ben and Seth sat in quiet contemplation, their focus trained on the glow of an open laptop screen. The screen illuminated their faces as they observed the familiar silhouette that was navigating in the graveyard like it owned the place.

Seth frowned as he looked up from the laptop and read the name of the graveyard.

"Isn't this..."

"Yes, it's the same graveyard that you're thinking of. The one where people suddenly began to vanish.", Ben said, confirming Seth's doubts before she shared his own thoughts and information that he had gathered about the place.

As he put his hand inside his jacket's pocket, he began to speak, "The incidents began to appear a few weeks after the accident and it only became a huge thing after a month or two. Even now, there are a few idiots who come here to make videos and to gain some subscribers though..."

Ben didn't approve of the foolish actions that the TrueTubers did but it was only because of them that he was able to stay cautious and make ample preparations before he proceeded with his main plan.

The two of them continued to gossip about the incidents but they also had an eye on the laptop.

Each time the figure strayed from the camera's view, Ben quickly switched to different cameras and even though there was no way to perfectly capture her every single time, it could still be considered near perfect.

He had done his own research and had placed miniature cameras in the graveyard six months ago and after observing her for the past six months, he had memorized her route.

If other people knew this, they would have called him a stalker but in his eyes, even a detective who was just doing his job could be considered one.

Seth frowned as he continued to watch Olivia and a few seconds later, he pointed at the screen, "Hey Ben, did you notice this?"

"Notice what? Oh, you mean her legs?", Ben asked and Seth nodded, "Yes."

Ben sighed as he tried to come up with a way to explain it since even he did not have a perfect answer to the question and he had been keeping an eye on her for a long time.

"Usually she walks normal but every time she comes here, she always walks on her toes. As she continues to go towards her usual spot, she'll start levitating a few centimeters over the ground. That's why I said that she isn't human... anyways, you'll find out when you see everything with your own eyes."

Seth looked at the screen with a frown on his face but he kept Ben's words in mind as he waited for some kind of supernatural miracle, which, to his surprise, did happen.

She had stopped walking but for some reason she was also able to move forward. She was like a ghost that continued to move forward without having to move her legs.

It took her a few more minutes to get to her usual place. The graveyard was huge and since her favorite place was almost at the middle of it, she had no choice but to move a lot.

Ben pressed a few keys on his laptop and split the screen into four so he could watch her from four different angles. He could tell that his hands were shivering and it had been happening quite often in the past few months.

Although Seth did notice it, he said nothing and focused on the screen, watching the girl who he had know a few years ago. He was Ben and her homeroom teacher before he decided to study biochemistry.

On the screen, they saw her get back to the ground before she walked towards one of the five identical graves that were near her. She gently placed her leg on it and a second later, the five gravestones turned bright red. She looked down at the one she was stomping on and stretched her hand out before she slashed her wrist with the sharp nails on her other hand, drawing blood that was the same color of the gravestones.

Just when Seth expected it to be the end, he saw the blood stop dripping from the cut she had made. He was a bit too immersed in the video to notice Ben staring at him.

Seth watched as multiple corpses flew out from their graves and shot towards the grave that the girl was standing on, twisting and getting mushed up as they did so. Once the balls that were made of crushed bone stopped near her, she made a few hand movements and got them to merge together.

A small amount of the crushed bone powder began to fall in a line, like water flowing from a tap and to Seth's surprise, he saw the powder stop midway and only when Ben zoomed in on it did he realize what was going on.

The blood that had come out of the girl's wrist had not fallen onto the grave and instead, was floating a few centimeters above. It was like a small ball of blood but it kept getting bigger and bigger as it kept absorbing the bone powder. Minutes passed and the bright red ball had grown huge, it's diameter slightly higher than Olivia's height.

"We should report this to the police, Ben. This isn't something we can handle.", Seth said as he turned to look at Ben with a frown on his face but to his surprise, the man looked utterly calm as he stared into his eyes.

The corner of Ben's lips twitched as he pulled out a pistol from his pocket and pointed it at Seth.

"Why did you kill your own sister?"
