Jiang Lei opend the book, he was interested in the past of this village where he is living now, according to the book, the ancestors of these villagers settled here centuries ago.

They had their own cultivation method and they had the innate ability to control the wind.

These ancestors had chosen this particular location due to their ability to adapt to the desert environment. However, the book didn't provide a clear reason for their migration; it only hinted at the decline of their tribe.

Over time, the aura in this region had decreased, gradually diminishing due to the continuous consumption of spiritual energy. This decline had resulted in their descendants being born without a natural connection to the surrounding aura. Today, everyone in the village viewed these stories as mere myths, unaware of their once-powerfull heritage.

Jiang Lei found himself inexplicably drawn to the descriptions of martial arts and cultivation in the book.

The idea of harnessing the energy of the surroundings to strengthen one's body and attain strength beyond mortal limits fascinated him more than anything.

He turned towards Zhang Hao with expectations in his eyes "Zhang Hua, do we still have those martial arts books?"

Jiang lei didn't know why but just the thought of being strong excites him, he can't wait to try this method.

Unfortunately, Zhang Hua disappointed him. "Lord Wei, martial arts books are not in this library, those are heritage of our village and it is very precious for us, Village Head Liang keeps all the martial arts book in his room and ordinary people like us can't touch those books."

Seeing Jiang Lei's disappointment, Zhang Hao added, "But, Lord Wei, you're not an ordinary villager. If you wish, you can request access to those books from Lord Liang."

Jiang Lei nodded, trying to hide his disappointment. "It's alright, Zhang Hao. I was just curious. For now, I'm more interested in learning about my past."

"It's Ok Lord Wei, two days are not that much, we are with you, if you need any help, we are always present for you."Zhang Hao said sincerely.

Jiang Lei looked at Zhang Hao deeply and smiled " Thank you for your help and taking care of me Zhang Hao, I will never forget about this."

"Don't mention it, Lord Wei. It's an honor to serve you. Now, you should get some rest," Zhang Hao suggested.

"Alright, let's head back," Jiang Lei agreed, not wanting to stay in the library any longer. He followed Zhang Hao back to his room.

Upon reaching the room, he sat down on his bed, he tried to think about his dream, he thought maybe he would be able to understand something from his dream.

But unfortunately even his dream itself was not clear, after waking up he could just remember the faint memories of his dream.

"I should not stress on myself, If I don't understand then let it be so, I will remember it eventually." Jiang lei began to sleep again, but this time it was peaceful he didn't watch any dream .

*Next Morning*

Jiang lei was sitting on his bed thinking about the water shortage of the village, he couldn't forget the situation of those childrens .

"Lord Jiang, May I come in "

When he was thinking about the plan, the door was knocked, it was Huang wei's voice from outside of the door.

"Yes come in Huang Wei"

"Creak"

The door creaked open, revealing Huang Wei, whose face was flushed with excitement. "Lord Wei, you won't believe what happened today."

Jiang Lei raised an eyebrow. "Calm down. What's got you so excited?"

Huang Wei tried to catch his breath, his excitement still palpable. "Lord Wei, the team led by my father found a water source. They're bringing water back to the village, and everyone is waiting outside to welcome them. Would you like to come and see?"

Jiang Lei's face lit up with relief. "That's a great news, Huang Wei. I was just thinking about this issue. Let's go and check it out."

Huang Wei led Jiang Lei to the border of the village, Upon reaching, Jiang lei could only see hundreds of villagees there.

All of them were in circles talking and chatting with each other and sharing their happiness, in the middle a man and a woman were very eye catching because their face was very serious devoid of any happiness.

Huang wei looked at Jiang lei and explained "Lord Wei, he is the head of our village Chen Liang.

Jiang lei looked at them "He could see that both of them were talking about something."

"Wu Xiu, you said we would face greater danger this time, and even you wouldn't be able to help us. But now, what do you have to say? Huang Xian is bringing back the water, and we're on the path to overcoming our problems. I knew the Goddess would never abandon us."

"Lord Liang, please don't get too excited just yet. I warned you that this time the danger was greater. You know I never lie; if I said it, it was bound to happen," Wu Xiu cautioned.

"Wu Xiu, why can't you say something nice, everything is happening good now but you are still saying such harsh words.

"Lord Liang, I apologize if my words upset you, but I can only speak the truth. No one can change the destiny,"

"Wu Xiu, this time, the Destiny will have to change.

"Wu Xiu looked towards the coming villagers holding big pots of clay filled with water, a brutal smile appeared in her face "I won't let it be so."

Soon, after some time, Jiang Lei saw Huang Xian and villagers behind him bringing water filled in big pots.

Around one hundred villagers are Carrying pots on their back, judging by the number it should be enough for the villagers to fulfill the shortage of water for sometime.

"Mom, I am very thirsty, I want to drink water." A child around 7 years old asked his mother with expectations in his eyes .

"Xiao'er, just wait for a while, Lord Huang will soon distribute water amongst us then you can drink as much water as you want."Chen Ying stroked his hair with affection.

Soon Huang Xian and his team reached to Elder Wu and Chen Liang.

"Greetings Village Head." Huang Xian saluted Chen Liang.

Chen Liang patted Huang Xian's shoulder with smile "I knew, you won't let me down."

He looked towards the other who brought water carrying on their back , "Thank you all for your hard work.

"Huang Xian, now let's not waste any time anymore, distribute the water evenly to all the village."

"Sure Lord Liang." Huang Xian ordered his subordinates to distribute the water.

They started distributing the water amongst all the villagers , each one was given enough water to use for the next ten days.

Finally, Chen Ying also got her share of water .

"Mom water." As sson as Cheng Ying got the pot, she heared her son's eager voice.

She took out a small cup made from clay and filled it with water and then handed it Xiao Jun .

"Xiao'er drink it slowly, Don't be haste." She reminded him with a smile.

He took the cup and looked at the water in it with his big big eyes with a sweet smile appeared in his face and took a sip.

"Gulp"

As Xiao Jun took a sip , he felt like he didn't drink the cold water that used to quench his thirst, but a molten lava that will melt his body at the very next moment.

"Aah", The child's soft cry resonated through the peaceful place , it brought all of them from their happy world they were in.

Everyone turned their gaze to look towards the origin of voice , only to hear a heart wrenching voice of Chen Ying "Xiao'er."

She quickly too Xiao Jun in her arms while asking with tears filled in her eyes "Xiao'er are you ok , don't scare mom , please open your eyes."

"Mom , it's hurting very much ".She heared the hoarse voice of her son , her heart ached because of such voice of her son , she can't imagine how much pain he is feeling l it now.

"Xiao'er, Don't worry mom is here , She will not let happen anything to you ."She said while sobbing and quickly turned her gaze toward Chen Liang "Lord Liang , please quickly look at my son ,what happened with him."

Chen Liang also couldn't understand that why did something so bad this time , He turned his gaze towards Wu Xiu for a while before calling with urgency in his voice ,"Where is Ling Wei , quickly see what happened with the child?"

Ling Wei a woman in her mid twenties with kind eyes hurried towards Xiao Jun and quickly checked his pulse.

"Lord Liang , his pulse is very weak , I didn't bring medicine with me , we need to quickly go to our room."

"What are you waiting for, quickly take this child with you."

"Chen Ying got up with her son in her arms and said with pleading voice "Ling Wei , please don't waste time anymore, let's go quickly.

Everyone quickly hurried to the room of Ling Wei , they have always been together and they think everyone as their family, all of them have watched him growing up , their pain and worry is not very less than Chem Ying .

Jiang Lei and Huang wei also went with them.

All of them reached to a simple house, Chen Ying and Ling Wei hurriedly entered the room and lied down Xiao Jun on a mat.

"Chen Ying, please wait outside for a while I need to cure him alone."Ling Wei said politely to Chen Ying.

Chen Ying also understood that the time is critical so she didn't waste any time and hurriedly leaved the room before looking once at her son.

"Where is my son, Let me see him." While going outside ,she heard the voice of her husband .

Xiao Gang was one of the members of a team that went to find the water in a different direction, they didn't find anything and he returned back disappointed.

But upon reaching he finds that his son became unconscious after drinking water "he quickly rushed to here to see if his son is ok."

When he reached Ling Wei's room, he found out the crowd in front of the room, he quickly yelled at them to let him go."

Everyone looked at Xiao Gang with pity in their eyes and quickly give him a side, "A man in his thirties with a scar in his face came towards Xiao Gang and said with a reassuring voice "Brother Xiao, you don't worry, Xiao'er will surely get well."

When Xaio Gang was about to answer him, He saw Chen Ying coming out of room, he hurried towards her and asked with worry in his eyes "Ying'er what happened to my son, why is he unconscious.

When Chen Ying saw her husband, she couldn't hold back her emotions anymore,

She quickly threw herself at him and said while sobbing," this is all my mistake, I shouldn't have given him water to drink first, I should have tried it first, it is all my mistake."

"Ying'er Calm down, it's not your fault, don't cry anymore, Our son will be ok soon ".Xiao Gang tried to comfort her wife.

"Tell me what happened, why did he get unconscious ."

"She quickly explained what happened to him while crying."

"Creak"

The door of Ling Wei's room opend and She came out, immediately everyone's gaze fall over her.

Facing Everyone's expectant eyes , She shook her head with a smile "Xiao'er is out of danger for now, it will take him sometime to awake.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief including Jiang lei and Xiao Gang who was very curious to know about the reason of his son's situation quickly asked " Ling Wei , why did my son get unconscious."

She looked at everyone with complicated eyes, thinking how to explain, She looked at Huang Xian who was also eager to know the answer and said weakly "Lord Xian , the water you brought is poisoned.
