"Go, goddamn it!" shouted Eros, telling the soldier beside him to leave immediately.
The soldier nodded, taking a route around the city walls to prevent being killed by Hildemar's soldiers. He would take the coastal path to get to Mathilde —it was further away.
According to him, it was the best and safest route to avoid the attack of Hildemar's troops. Seeing the chaotic situation inside the city, he felt pessimistic when he was about to deliver this message to Quentin.
Eros led the city's defense strategy by himself, ordering the archer soldiers who were still defending on top of the city walls to start attacking downwards, precisely into the city. It was much better than continuing to attack the archers of Hildemar's army outside the city walls.
'Damn. What should I do now?' Eros complained to himself.
