"Okay. I will send a raven to deliver your message to her," Howard explained.
Edmund nodded. Since the two had nothing more to talk about, Edmund allowed Howard to exit his chamber. Howard said yes since he had other things to do in the administration.
The door to Edmund's chamber opened, and Howard stepped out alone. He was immediately met by two men in thick armor and wearing white robes with golden lion emblems. They were soldiers of the King's guard.
"Duke Howard," called a man, coming into the corridor of Castlebourne's fifth floor.
Howard turned his head strongly to the right, seeing his assistant coming with the information in the back of his mind. Howard's assistant seemed to be walking hurriedly, his breath coming in short gasps as the information he was about to tell him was important for Howard to know.
"What is it?" Howard asked.
