New Facility
He woke up inside a Tank of a shaking space craft. Few medical staff are lying on the floor unconsciously. The fluid starts to drain away, and the tank exit opened in front of him. With all his might, he limped out of the tank to catch his first fresh breath of air…
A battle between two rival planets…He have been caught in the battle. He don't remember what happened after that. His name is Kai, at least that's what the ID card says.
He stumbled and noticed all the injured staffs on the floor and the dead bodies of troops mixed together. It seems like he's the only survivor.
He suddenly feel a sharp headache, his vision is blurred and the ship seems to shake even harder.
"Warning... power failure in 5 minutes... emergency escape capsule activated. All personnel please leave the ship immediately..." the PA system announced loudly.
The PA system continues
"...Please head to the nearest emergency escape hatch. All personnel, prepare to evacuate, repeat... prepare to evacuate... Warning...power failure in 5 minutes..."
He quickly limped around looking for a escape hatch and saw one nearby. He enters the hatch before the door closes behind him. He has no idea where he's going and there is no map inside...
"Warning...power failure in 3 minutes... All surviving personnel, be advised that power failure will result in gravity loss. All power has been transferred to Emergency Escape Pods. In the event of power loss, the hatch will not reopen so please ensure your escape pods are sealed in a proper manner. The emergency hatch is now locked as the ship's energy will be distributed to the escape pods."
The PA system continues.
"Warning...Warning. Power failure in 15 seconds. All crew members, please enter your emergency escape pod as soon as possible. The hatch will now be sealed. Remember, the hatch will not reopen even after the power is restored.
Good luck."
Power failure.
A loud thud can be heard as the ship's power is completely shut down. The emergency lighting of the escape hatch goes off...
The emergency escape pods are fully automated. He has no control at all. He feel the pod starts to move with no guidance system.
He's floating inside the dark void, only his thoughts can keep him company. Kai has completely no idea where he's going...
He waited patiently, hoping that the escape pod will eventually land to the right planet. For how long will he have to wait? He has no way of telling.
After a while, he felt the emergency pod started to slow down, seems like it's about to land.
The escape pod lands smoothly on an unexplored planet. From the pod's observation window, he can see snow-covered fields surrounding the pod.
He opened the door of the escape pod and was greeted by strong, freezing cold wind.
He's deep in the snowy forests on an unknown planet. It is so icy that his breath produced clouds of thick white mist as he spoke. He could easily get lost in the forest and die of hypothermia if he weren't careful enough...
He gathered his strength and walked into the snowy forest in search of shelter. The sun is starting to go down and the temperature is steadily dropping.
He walked through the vast, empty forest for nearly an hour without finding any signs of shelter or life.
After walking for a while, Kai saw a metal door buried in the snow. Looking closely, he realize that it's an entrance to a facility of some kind.
he enter the abandoned facility to find an entrance hall inside. The place has obviously been neglected for years.
There are two paths in front of him -- to the left is a sign that reads "Research Wing" while to the right is a sign that says "Living Area and Control Room".
Kai took the path to the right. After a few more steps, he found himself in the middle of the facility's control room.
He saw a giant wall monitor display the facility's layout, along with hundreds of control buttons and wires scattered around the console. It is obviously in a very poor condition and has not been used in years.
He could turn the whole facility on with these controls.
He pushed the giant switch all the way in. Everything was now in place and the whole facility's power was reconnected.
The entire building lit up while the control panel was ready to use.
"Welcome to this facility" A large hologram appears in front of Kai.
Kai jumped in surprised. "The hell?! why is a hologram talking?!"
"The previous owner of this facility created me and said that when the time is come someone will takeover this facility." The hologram said.
"Give me a name new master" The hologram said again.
"A name? why should I give you a name?" Kai said.
"Because you're my new master" The hologram said.
"Alright If that will shut you up," Kai thinks for a moment and finally comes up with a name, "How about AC?"
"AC! alright my new name is now AC." The hologram said.
"Time to explore this facility." Kai said.
After a few seconds of exploring the place, he noticed a panel labeled: Facility Management.
He took a look inside and saw that the system listed all the information stored in the facility's memory bank. He could learn a lot about this place from the computer's data...
He took a step towards the screen and the whole computer system lit up.
With his hand on the keyboard he clicked around the menu and access the main terminal's file list.
He saw the list of files and saw a file titled "Facility Database" and opened it. The database listed all of the important info of any type in each of the facility's rooms.
Kai open a file called "Droid Room".
He read the following information: "This is the place where the facility's maintenance team repairs and creates new droids. Currently, there are seven functional droids inside the room."
The main computer showed a map of the area and highlighted the Droid Room.
A security camera feed from the room is displayed on the upper corner of the computer screen...
Kai decided to head to the Droid Room to take a look around.
He found himself in a large room full of tools and spare components. Several broken droids are scattered around the place.
As he investigated the room he found the 7 functional droids working. Each of them is busy performing its own task. There is also a control panel beside the door, which is used to operate the security systems.
"These droids could be dangerous I need to find a way to shut them down." Kai said, he looked worried.
He found a control panel that says: "Shut down all droids".
This panel will shut down all the droids in the room.
With your finger on the button, you could stop the robots from working in the facility completely. Kai pressed the button.
All the droids are now shut down. They will only come back online if you turn the system back on. You now hold complete control over the facility and these droids will not be a threat to you...
"I've decided AC, I will take over this facility and renovate it!" Kai said in excitement.
