Chapter 19- The Dream

It was normal for her to wake up in her own room.

"I'll get back to reality," she told herself.

She followed her routine of going to work and returning home at the end of the day.

There had been no new information for three days. Not until she discovered who was spreading rumors about her.

He had no idea it was her coworker's close friend. She used to despise that girl, but she realized it wasn't worth it. Instead, she pitted her against a life she prefers.

Finally, she decided to apply for resignation and leave after one month.

"Ah, finally, I'm going to be free of this work of mine," she exclaimed.

And now she's thinking about what she'll do next. She will be out of work in a month. But it's possible she just needed a break from the stress.

She is aware that there are numerous opportunities available. But she was put in a difficult position; she had to choose between a job where she could earn a steady income but disliked it and one where money was not guaranteed.

She aspires to run her own business. Anything will suffice for her. Her mother, on the other hand, advised her to look for something known as her niche.

"WTF do I really need a Niche, I can just find any product or service that will do," she thought to herself.

Then she remembered that Renze, her partner, had the day off today. She is well aware of how much she adored him. She had already stated that he was her soulmate.

The one she can't live without and the one who understands her the best. She was a strong woman, but as the saying goes, even the strongest people need someone to support them in life.

It was late at night, and she was still waiting for her partner. So she just finished reading her favorite light novel.

While reading, she realized that the name Martin sounded similar to Marvin, the main character in her current favorite Light novel.

"Martin was a King and the father of Prince Mix, and while Prince Xyl was on the run, Martin was the judge who followed him," she wondered.

"Don't tell me in my next dream that there will be someone with the same name as me, Martin, Hehe I wonder if there is even someone with the same name as me?" She thinks to herself.

She was lost in her thoughts when she noticed someone approaching her in her blind spot and touching her feet.

"Ahhh!" she screams involuntarily, almost leaping over the bed.

Renze bursts out laughing.

"You're such a jerk, love." She yelled.

Renze continued to laugh until he noticed Patricia was silent, at which point he stopped laughing and welcomed himself to the bed, hugging Patricia from behind.

"You are so unfair, you know how to make yourself so irresistible," Patricia said.

"Hehe, you can't stand up to me," he replied.

They were both cute and odd couples. They both value their privacy, but they also value trust and honesty in their relationship.

They chose to spend their time together by reading and cuddling in the same bed. When they're together in person, they're both silent, but they're both loud when they're on the phone or in a video chat.

There are both indoor and outdoor people, but because they are frugal, they only spend more on food than on material things.

And if the value of money exchange was important in terms of survival in this world, they would not be tempted or motivated to earn it. What mattered to them was enjoying the present while planning for their future family.

"What are our plans for the day after tomorrow? Do you believe in love? "She inquired.

"Do you still have work tomorrow?" he inquired.

"Yes, Hehe, I still have one month to serve before I'm released from this company," she replied.

"Then we'll meet after you finish work, and then we'll go on a food trip," he replied.

"OK, love," she said.

The next morning, she was so preoccupied with the hiring process that no one could fill her position after her resignation became effective.

She scheduled a meeting with the online applicant in order to set them up for an interview.

"Ma'am Pat, Sir Dennis inquires as to the status of the hiring," A middle-aged woman inquired.

Marilyn Brown was her name. She had only been with the company for two months. Patricia had a favorable impression of his lady.

She had two children, an eight-year-old daughter, and a two-year-old son. They occasionally discuss the kids and their respective responsibilities at home.

"Yes, Ma'am Mar, I'm finished setting up the interviews; it'll be a new week on Monday."

Lunch break

"When you leave, we're going to miss you, Ma'am Pat," Marilyn said.

"Don't worry, we still have a month before my resignation takes effect." She responded

"May I inquire, as I understand you are new to the company, how was your first day? She inquired.

"Well, it's not that bad," Marilyn replied, "but I can't stay any longer."

"Why?" she inquired.

Marilyn then explained that she had been accepted by a larger, more stable company and that she might start in August. She plans to resign by the end of next month.

Throughout the break, the girls talk nonstop. From work-related issues to a positive outlook on life. She is aware that she enjoys conversing with others. But she appears to be in her own world, and most people believe she is untouchable or unsociable.

She knows from her experience as an HR sub-officer that it is not just the pay that will keep an employee happy and loyal to the company; the work environment is also very important.

She decided to go to Oro Supermarket after work to get some groceries.

"I haven't dated myself in a long time, but Lovely dovey is here." She stated

So she went window shopping while she waited for Renze.

She got tired of running around the supermarket and decided to read her favorite light novel instead. As a result, she decided to take a seat in the far corner of the benches.

Someone suddenly touched her back. She jumped at her seat because she was startled.

"Ahh," she shrieked softly.

Renze laughs so hard, "Hehe"

"Love, love, you are so mean!" she screams.

"Hehehe You're so serious when you're reading, and you're so easily startled," he responded.

"You already knew I was easily startled, so why do you keep teasing me?" She responded

"Hehe, you're my cutie potato," he said.

Renze dismisses Patricia's complaints and simply kisses her, holds her hand, and asks "Are you hungry? Where would you like to eat?"

She didn't say anything. She tries to be angry, but she knows she can't stand up to her partner. She simply wishes to amuse him.

They are so at ease with each other. They enjoy playing practical jokes on one another. What was the best part about them having similar hobbies, such as reading or going on food trips?

"hmm..., I know spicy chicken?" he inquired.

"No, buffalo wings," she answered.

"All right, then, let's go," he said.

They made their way to the restaurant. While they waited for their orders. The adorable couple makes fun of each other.

"Do you want spoilers? love love?" she asks

Renze's surroundings had darkened. And frowned as he stared at her.

Patricia is aware that she had more time to read than him, and he despises it when someone spoils him.

He was deafeningly quiet, and then their food arrived.

"Hehe save for the food, love is so evil," she remarked.

He simply smiled and said, "I have a recommendation, this novel, try to read it."

"OK, let's eat later," she replied.
