In Langony no girl would rebel against their fathers. They would just do the things their fathers said and live happy life. Even if it's something they don't want to do, there was no solution for them. The Vampire's Bride was a novel that creates a cruel world like this. And I, who isn't even able to finish the book was reincarnated in this world as the main female lead. I don't even know a thing about the ending of the book, so all I could do was pray that I won't be dead in the end and work for it.
As a little child, I'd have to have some lessons. Even as the great Duke's little daughter I wasn't able to avoid those lessons.
At least my teacher, Mr. Evan, was really understanding and nice to me. Probably because I'm his first and only student.
He was really good-looking just like the descriptions in the novel. He had blue eyes and long white hair. Just perfect for a teacher.
"So if we think that vampires and humans are not enemies for now we can say that we are in peace..."
But for today I couldn't focus on the lessons. I was thinking about what I should do after that time. I must plan my steps perfectly.
For now, I was connecting with Lizzie with a letter. She was writing me letters once a week. And I was answering her next week.
However, Li was never connecting with me. Well, this was something I was expecting from him but still, he could at least send me only a letter to ask me how am I doing.
It wasn't something too hard. I wasn't thinking something wrong right?
"Karen, are you listening to me?"
I got away from my thoughts with my teacher's deep voice.
"Sorry sir, I just can't focus on today."
"Wanna finish the lesson for now today?"
When I was about to answer a servant knocked on the door and got in.
"Mrs. Karen your father wants to see you."
I put my pen away and get ready to see my father. He must be in his working room. Like always.
"Father, they said that you're looking for me."
I referenced elegantly and get near to my father.
"Well, Karen as far as I know you and Lizzie seem to be close friends. Would you like to visit them?"
What?
What I heard was real right?
This was my chance. To do something that can help me for forever. Something I could never imagine happening this early.
"Of course father. If you would let me go I'd like to visit them."
"Then it's decided. I'll send them a letter about your future visit. Also, you can leave for now my dear."
I left the room with happiness. I could jump around because of this joy. Then I saw my teacher waiting for me to come back.
"You seem happy Karen. Did something good happen?"
"Yes, Mr. Evan. My father let me visit the vampire lord's castle. I'm really happy about this."
Mr. Evan's eyes widened. He seemed confused because of my father's actions.
Who could blame him? My father was too cold to anyone from outside. So he never let me go somewhere to visit including my friends.
But this relationship between the vampire lord's daughter and me must be interesting and useful to him.
Well, this was expected.
Improving his relationship with the vampire lord must be useful for the future and the best way to do this was their kids.
I just hope that he wouldn't think about my marriage earlier.
Probably he wouldn't. Because I've never gotten a letter from Li nor written a letter to him. Also, I was a minor.
However, still here was Longony. Where you love divided by your father. I wish I could understand what my father thinking about this."
"Mr. Evan do Joh think that my father would make me an unbreakable vow to marry with the vampire prince."
"I don't tho k he would do such a thing like this. He loves you a lot. More than you can ever imagine. He can't even think to do something like this to you."
He looked at me with his comforting beautiful eyes. Just like he was trying to get me right now.
After a week I got good news from Lizzie. She was so happy and excited about my visit. On the other hand, my father was preparing presents for all of the vampire family.
He was happy about this visit. At least this was how he looks.
I just hoped that I could be that happy too after returning our home.
