"Mother, why can't I go to Blithwine instead of that brat."

"My poor baby, we would have let you take her place but you don't have golden eyes and no artifact can turn one's eyes golden."

I watched the dramatic play between the mother and daughter pair, the side characters were doing a good job in playing their pack. The woman was Tatiana's maternal aunt and the little girl was her cousin, Mariana, the most useless character in the book that only appeared once.

But when will I go home, do I have to wit till the novel is complete? That's a long time from now.

Damn, is that child talking to me? She even cursed?.

This family, are they from the lineage of yellies? Why do they yell so loudly?.

Mariana's mother raised her hand to slap me, I knew I couldn't stop it with my little hands so I closed my eyes and awaited the pain but I fekt nothing.

I slowly opened my eyes and there she was like my knight in shining armour, her silvery white hair flowed behind her back, her beautiful golden orbs shined brightly.

Only one person has this stunning features and can shine so bightly. This, this was the light of the female lead, this is my number one baby, Accorsa Eve Blithwine.

"How dare you try to lay your filthy hand on a Blithwine?" She asked coldly, her stoic but still beautiful face was evidence of utmost seriousness.

"No, not at all, my lady. As you can see the young miss is fine, you can take her away now." Mariana's mother said and tried to force a smile.

"Why is the child so scrawny?" Accorsa asked.

Isn't it a little too much to call me scrawny? I mean, I'm thin but Scrawny? No.

"That, she doesn't like to..."

"All the money my father arranged for your sister even after she died, what happened to the money?" Accorsa asked before Mariana's mother could finish coming up with an excuse.

"I can see, your daughter looks plump and even wears a beautiful dress while Blithwine's young miss looks unkempt."

I looked down at the dress that I've been wearing since yesterday that I came here, it was truly not pleasing to the eyes. I can't believe my first meeting with Accorsa has to be like this. I'm so embarrassed.

"Please no, please have mercy. Tatiana baby, please beg for you aunt. We are family." Mariana's mother pleaded and held the helm of my dress.

"I never knew we were family, madam. You never really treated me like one." I said with a straight face. I held the maid's hand as she walked me outside the house.

I stopped walking, warm liquid rolled down my cheeks. This emotions, it wasn't mine, it was like the body was already adapted to shedding tears, which meant that woman said these kind of mean words every time.

The maid bent to my height and wiped the tears with her warm hands.

"Sshh, don't cry. You didn't kill anyone, okay? You are a good and sweet child."

Why is she coaxing me like that? Im not a child but I nodded to her coaxing like a child.

She helped me climb the carriage and left, it was my first time riding a carriage but the excitement was nowhere to be found since sitting opposite me was my baby, my one and only female lead.

Her eyes were closed, her beautiful silver lashes fluttered open. Oops, it looks like I stared a little too much.

"Uh, hi." I nervously greeted, even though she ignores me I won't feel sad.

She stared at me and raised her silver brows, that gaze reminded me of how my brother looked at me when we were still kids.

Remembering that my only brother was in the hospital fighting for his life pained me, my heart lurched at tge thought of not seeing my brother again.

My glistening eyes dropped.
