Chapter 9: Undying Body

Ever since her life at the university as a science and technology student, Lindiwe has never dedicated her life to anything this much, like how she has decided to take cultivation seriously. At first, cultivation was just a hobby to keep her mind away from depression, harmful thoughts, and loneliness, but after the evil spectres incident, Lindiwe sees cultivation as a necessity to survive in the Eternal Gormandizer.

Lindiwe's new goal is to get stronger to the extent that nothing can pose a threat to her existence. She has finally found a new purpose to keep going and enjoy living, and nothing should ruin the fun of cultivation that she enjoys very much.

The majestic Lindiwe is sitting in a Lotus position. She is used to sitting in this meditative position. At first, the lotus position was a bit uncomfortable for her, but now that she has a fake leg and arm, she feels like that is her natural sitting position from now on.

"Hmm! Now that I remember, before the Soul Unification Stage, I gained the ability to summon spiritual beings from other planes of existence during the Soul Perfection Stage. I wonder what that was all about. It is time to test that weird ability." Lindiwe gained enlightenment about the ability as her hands slowly moved in a clockwise motion.

As Lindiwe performs the summoning ritual, a radiating red and smoke-like light surrounds her delicate body, and she can begin to feel the presence of something inhuman manifesting before her. "What kind of creature am I summoning? Where does it come from? And how is it going to look?"

Boom!

"Oh! It is coming," Lindiwe bellowed with nervousness.

"Swuiiiiii!"

A loud shrieking cry reverberated throughout the Eternal Gormandizer as a large, fiery bird appeared and roamed majestically high and above Lindiwe's head. The bird is as huge as Amaru, which is the size of a private car.

"Swuiiiiii!"

"Whoa! What's this bird? It is huge, and it burns with red fire. It is like a burning sun. I have never seen anything like this in my life."

"Human!" The feminine voice came out of the bird as it stopped roaming and flipped its beautiful, fiery wings.

Lindiwe was shocked to her stomach. "It talks. The bird can talk. I think I am hallucinating."

"Listen, human, I am talking."

"I am not dreaming, right? The bird called me human. I heard it this time around." The dumbfounded Lindiwe hasn't heard anything that could speak ever since she came here. It is so shocking to her to see a large red bird that speaks in her language.

"Hmph! Stop playing dumb. You are the one who summoned me here, right? I can speak; of course, I am a divine bird, Fire Phoenix." The fiery bird spoke with an arrogant attitude as it said its name with pride.

"F-fire Phoenix? I think I heard about this before," the dazed Lindiwe said with a low voice.

"Listen, human, you are worthy to have summoned me, but you are not strong enough to be my master. I will create my own space here to hide. I will come out once you are worthy to be my master. I am leaving."

"Wait! Where do you come from? Is there another place out there?" Lindiwe bellowed with agitation.

"I come from nowhere. I was just born of heavenly wisdom. Unfortunately, I am not a mere spiritual being but a divine beast. I am also shocked that you managed to summon someone from my class."

"Why can you talk if you are just born from whatever heavenly wisdom? How do you know these things about yourself?" The puzzled Lindiwe asked without backing down.

"How did you know that you could summon?" The Fire Phoenix asked.

"Ah? Well, it is the ability I gained once I reached a higher stage. I knew from within my soul that I had gained the ability, and I also gained the enlightenment on how to summon." Lindiwe said as she realised what the Fire Phoenix was trying to say.

"Exactly! This is how I know about everything I know. I did not exist before you summoned me. So, bye-bye for now."

Without waiting for Lindiwe's reply, the Fire Phoenix hurriedly left and disappeared with a prideful attitude.

"Sigh! What a prideful bird. Here I thought I would finally have an intelligent companion who could hold an intelligent communication with me, but sigh, the arrogant bird was impatient to leave me. Am I so pathetic and weak in its eyes? I thought I was strong enough now. Huh! I have no choice but to keep increasing my power rapidly. With the help of Amaru, I will become very powerful, and I have a feeling that greater things are coming ahead."

Without wasting any time, Lindiwe proceeded with her cultivation. Now that she is in the peak phase of the Soul Unification Stage, the breakthrough is unavoidable. She has to attack the ceiling and enter the next stage of her evolution.

Just as Lindiwe was about to celebrate how easily she entered the next stage of her evolution, her face became gloomy as she frowned with annoyance.

"What? Another lightning strike is about to strike. This time, it seems more dangerous and life-threatening. I will have to take this lightning seriously now."

The lightning that comes from the dark, gloomy clouds, which are formed of spiritual energy, has struck down with its might to eliminate Lindiwe. "You want to eliminate me? It can't be that easy to kill me. If you have a problem with me being strong and immortal, then get ready to be disappointed."

Gritting her teeth, Lindiwe released a powerful elemental domain solely made of countless bolts of lightning. The domain served as a barrier to block the lightning from the cloud.

The terrifying lightning struck three times with its might, but it was unable to shatter the barrier and the gloomy clouds dissipated. "Sigh, these lightnings are annoying. If I am going to face them after entering each stage from now on, I will be annoyed to death. Good thing I came out of the annoyance unscathed."

Lindiwe followed her previous procedures and consumed divine caramel constantly, from the early phase to the peak phase of the new stage. Just like in previous stages, the number of consumption increases greatly for the advancement to take place.

In this stage, Lindiwe's unified soul and body merge into one entity that is no longer separated. She has truly become a being beyond understanding. From the early phase to the peak phase, she managed to unify the unified soul and the body successfully.

When Lindiwe noticed the abilities gained on the new stage, she literally jumped with joy and excitement. "Wow! Hahaha! The ability to regenerate lost body parts? I have become an amazing spectacle. I am so awesome now. I can finally get rid of fake limbs and regrow my lost body parts. What else do I have? The ability to create an avatar, long-range teleportation, and greater possession? Unlike minor possession, with greater possession, you can possess a new body, but your cultivation stage does not regress and all previous aspirations can't be lost. Amazing."

"Being able to regrow body parts is the best perk this stage has to offer. In this stage, my strength, speed, and senses have increased thirty-five times, and my lifespan is too good to be true. I hope the next stage is even more awesome than the Undying Body Stage." The blissful Lindiwe said it with determination.
