Chapter 6: Soul Incubation and Nascent Soul Stage

Taking a slight break from cultivation, Lindiwe began to reminisce about the memories from back home. What she regrets the most is being separated from her brother and her beautiful mom. She travelled to the United States and left her family and relatives back in South Africa, not knowing she would never see them again and that there was nothing she could have done to save them if she wanted to.

Planet Earth ended before the predicted time, and all the plans of humans became nothing in the end. What Lindiwe regrets the most is that she was far away from everyone she knew and loved when the Earth exploded, and there's no slight thread of hope that her family might still be out there alive just like her. First of all, Lindiwe was the breadwinner in the family, and her mom and brother were just common people in society. The chances that they have managed to get their hands on breathing space suits before the calamity are almost zero percent.

"Mom, brother, are you still alive out there? I am all alone by myself. I miss you. I miss all of you. I wish we could meet again. We separated without saying goodbye. Life is cruel."

With a Melancholic long pause, Lindiwe plucked a purified cheesemellow from Amaru and gobbled it. With a long sigh, Lindiwe took a long breath, and she felt a little better.

"Am I getting a little bit cold or something? I mean, I miss everyone, but I can get over the emotions this quickly and easily. Is this the result of cultivation? Sigh! Let's see what the next stage of evolution has in store for me. Time to break through the ceiling of the Spirit Congealment Stage and progress into the next unknown stage."

Still in a lotus position, Lindiwe closed her eyes and focused her entire being on breaking through the spiritual ceiling within.

Boom!

This time, the breakthrough took longer than expected. It took Lindiwe more than eighty breaths to notice the changes within. Inside her solidified golden core, she felt like a new life began to form. A new soul is developing like an embryo within a pregnant woman.

"What is going on here? Am I going to give birth to a baby now? No, there's nothing physical about this new-forming soul. It looks like I am going to have two souls in this new stage."

Feeling the excitement of entering the new stage without investigating the newly gained abilities, Lindiwe began to eat divine caramel to progress at the speed of the new stage.

"Just as I expected, in this stage, I just conceived a new soul, and I have to nurture it to its developed phase. Just like in the Spirit Congealment Stage, this new stage also has four phases, namely: early phase, advanced phase, final phase, and peak phase. How delightful," Lindiwe said with a smile after her realisation.

Boom!

Glowing with a golden light all over her body, Lindiwe glowed like a celestial being from heaven. "I lost count of how many times I had to consume the divine caramel to reach the peak of this stage. The second soul within the solidified spiritual golden core is fully developed. My strength, speed, and senses have increased nine times, and my lifespan has increased from three hundred and ten to three hundred and eighty. Awesome!"

Lost in her thought for a moment, the delighted Lindiwe spoke again: "By the nature of this stage, I will name it 'Soul Incubation Stage' just to cherish the experience in the future. In the Soul Incubation Stage, I gained two new abilities. I gained telepathic communication and the ability to fly. How awesome!" With a realisation of something, Lindiwe's eyes wide opened with joy. "Wait a moment? I gained the ability to fly before, but with the help of spiritually embedded items, does that mean I could just fly now without the help of external things?"

By just focusing on her newly gained ability, Lindiwe felt her body getting lighter, and she could control how high she could fly the same way she could control her limbs. Flying away a little with caution, Lindiwe felt her heart melting with joy to realise that she could no longer fall.

"Awesome! Another fear has been removed from the list of my worries. I could now fly, and the fear of falling off of Amaru was a thing of the past. Without wasting any time, I should break through the spiritual ceiling and enter the next stage of my evolution." Trying to suppress the excitement, Lindiwe descended from flying and sat back on top of Amaru in her lotus position.

Immediately, Lindiwe attacked the spiritual ceiling within.

Boom!

Unexpectedly, the breakthrough didn't even take three breaths. This is the shortest and most satisfying breakthrough Lindiwe has ever experienced. The spiritual golden core within her began to shatter like an egg hatching a chick, and she could feel that she had already entered the next stage.

"Wow! That was unexpected and interesting. How satisfying." With her eyes closed, Lindiwe focused with a delighted heart as she didn't want to miss a single experience of this newly entered stage. "Just like the previous stage, this stage is also divided into four phases. I will have to use my trump card to speed up the hatching process."

Boom!

Consuming even much more divine caramel than in the Soul Incubation Stage, Lindiwe has finally reached the final phase of the new stage, and the solidified golden core is shattered into spiritual particles as a new soul is born as she reaches the peak phase.

"Interesting! I can see a second soul within me, but it is still too young compared to my real soul. I will call this stage the Nascent Soul Stage. I think I might have a clue what the next stage will be like, but I should reserve my thoughts for now as each new stage is unexpected. In the Nascent Soul Stage, my strength, speed, and senses have increased twelve times. No car or aircraft can move faster than me now. I feel like I can even lift a car with one hand now. Incredible!"

Lindiwe could not believe how much she gained in strength and speed. In each stage, her speed, strength, and senses have increased very much. She has become a supernatural being, "I became really powerful and more magical. In the Nascent Soul Stage, I gained three new abilities. I gained the ability to create and manipulate natural elements, and I have truly become the immortal wizard. Thinking about that, my lifespan has also increased from three hundred and eighty to four hundred and sixty years. Another ability is even more awesome, I have gained the ability to control my Nascent Soul and send it outside to fly like a drone. I can send my Nascent Soul miles away to spy and investigate. This is truly magical. But the next and last ability is a little bit useless for someone in my situation. I have gained the ability to manipulate the souls of beings weaker than me, but when and how am I going to use this last ability?"

As Lindiwe was over the roof with excitement, her face changed colour immediately as her eyes widened with fear.

"I-it… it is coming! The evil aura is approaching my direction... I-I…"
