Do you think I look handsome

"That person must be lucky and so special to you to make you to come to Donholm countless times. I envy her. If only Paul Nduta was the same." Recho Wairimu said while reminiscing about Paul.

When Jaffery Lutta heard the name Paul Nduta which he had already pushed it at the back of his mind, he became silent ones again and he didn't talk until they reached up to a certain tall apartment which resembled the ones neighbouring it.

"Here we are! This is the place where my father chose for me to stay." Recho Wairimu said with a look of nostalgia as they walked into the elevator. Recho Wairimu pressed the floor number on the elevator which then took them to where they wanted to be.

All the way to Recho Wairimu's house in the apartment, Jaffery Lutta didn't speak anything.

One should know that even though Recho Wairimu's parents were rich, they were not as rich as Paul Nduta's which was the reason why Recho Wairimu was staying in an apartment unlike Paul Nduta who lived in his own mansion.

"If you are free sometimes, you can come here so that we can chill together." Recho Wairimu uttered as she welcomed Jaffery Lutta into the house.

"Erm... wait here, I am going to take a shower and I'll prepare something for you later." Recho Wairimu dashed for the bathroom leaving Jaffery Lutta in the living room alone.

As Jaffery Lutta was in the living room, he glanced around with awe, even if the household items in this house were subpar compared to those found in Paul Nduta's place, these things were still heavenly in front of Jaffery Lutta's eyes.

The white couches were comfortable, the lively paintings and the lovely artificial flowers, the illumination of the room was impeccable, the living room was sparkling clean, though there was still some feminine fragrance in the air which came from a female perfume.

"I haven't seen how I look like for a long time." Jaffery Lutta said to himself when he saw the mirror beside the huge screen. It seemed like Recho Wairimu liked to look at herself on the mirror from time to time as she watched the shows on TV. Or maybe she usually followed a "beauty program" on TV and she could then practice the teachings taught on TV to herself while using the mirror beside her.

Jaffery Lutta on the other hand, he didn't even care about how he looked like, at his parents house back in the slums, his mum had a small hand sized mirror which she used to look at herself as she combed her hair. Jaffery Lutta was indifferent about staring at himself in the mirror because he thought that it didn't matter whether he was handsome or ugly, he was also not a gay who would have to use a mirror do makeup on their faces. So, having a mirror for himself was utterly stupid according to him. But now that his crush was around, he had to present himself properly.

"I still look just as handsome the way I last saw my reflection on the mirror." Jaffery Lutta smiled when he saw his reflection on the mirror. He was 6feet tall, skinny and short haired. One should know that Jaffery Lutta didn't have much money to do complicated haircuts and also he didn't have a robust build because of the many dishes that he had missed at his home which forced him to go without food on many occasions, this had caused a huge blow to his health as wind could easily sway him from side to side if he was not careful.

Without doubt, Jaffery Lutta's low weight was what made Paul Nduta's punch to easily sent him flying.

"My cladding is also not that bad." On this day, Jaffery Lutta wore the best among the few second hand clothes from his closet and he was complacent with this look because he was sure that Recho Wairimu would like it.

One should also know that every person sees themselves as good-looking when they sees their reflection on the mirror, so, even if Jaffery Lutta was average looking, he still thought he was the best among all men out there, he even thought that he could be easily chosen to stair in commercials regarding men products.

"What are you staring at?" A soft voice jolted Jaffery Lutta out of his reverie, he turned behind and saw Recho Wairimu who had a liquor bottle in her hand.

"Do you think I look good?" Jaffery Lutta asked relaxedly with a charming smile plastered on his face.

"What?" Recho Wairimu who was now pouring the liquor in two glasses asked, she had not heard clearly what Jaffery Lutta had just said.

"I mean... You look so beautiful in that red dress." Jaffery Lutta confirmed as he took a seat beside Recho Wairimu. Recho Wairimu was wearing a red dress that reached up to her knees, and even though this dress was not skin tight, it still accentuated her nice curves.

"Thanks!" Recho Wairimu answered with a smile. After all, girls liked to be complimented and Recho Wairimu was the same.

"Do you smoke?" Recho Wairimu asked Jaffery Lutta as she took out a cigarette pack before lighting one stick. The cigarette pack that Recho Wairimu took out was one of the best qualities out there. The wrapping of the stick was black coloured and also the filter was also black.

On the cigarette pack, Jaffery Lutta read out the warning that was written in bold - SMOKING CAUSES CANCER. They had even printed a picture of a mouth of a person which had several blackspots with all their teeth black like charcoal as if they were rotten.
