63 Ch 63: Nine Lives (2)

Valerius and Anna stopped due to the trembling of the boss room. They stood there vigilantly.

After a moment, the room stopped trembling. 

Another second passed, but nothing else happened.

"Causing the room to tremble... Was that all Nine Live's action amounted to?" Valerius muttered as he squinted his eyes.

"I think so," Anna said.

Anna was ready to resume her charge when Valerius felt a vibration through the ground. Having played soul-like games for dozens of hours, he was able to determine what the vibration signified, his hair rising on edge.

Reflexively, he grabbed Anna and leaped to the side, pulling her with him. Just in time, as spikes erupted from the spot they were standing only a moment ago.
