"Anna, take this and wear it. It will help you survive a lethal attack once by teleporting you to safety if it's on your body," Valerius said as he handed over to her the pendant he had taken from the Two Lives Warrior he had just killed.
Anna accepted it with a grateful smile and wore it around her neck. After she finished wearing it, she smiled towards him and said, "Thank you, Master."
They both knew who was the most vulnerable among them. It was Anna. After all, Valerius's innate arcane technique could make him untargetable, but Anna didn't have such a technique. At most, she could construct barriers using her soul power to defend against attacks.
