Jian has completed refining the one star weapons. Now he as can focus on refining two star weapons. He has twenty hours to complete the refining process. so he started to recover his Qi before he started the process.

It was good that he had already refined the quenching liquid so he didn't had refine it again. So he can immediately start refining. After recovering his Qi he started refining the weapon.

He has to refine a sword and after that the saber for the weaponsmith tower. So after recovering his Qi he started with refining the sword. He already had expected how much time he require to refine a weapon. 

He started to heat up the cauldron and when it reached proper temperature he added the ore and started to extract the essence and temepring it. He knows that he had to temper it at least for an hour and half.
