Jian has started to draw the Qi gathering talisman he knows that he can't show the talisman which has been lost in the history. So he has to choose a specific types of talisman for the practice otherwise the people from the talisman tower would would not be able to recognize them.

He wanted to draw the Qi gathering talisman for the disciples and after he is done drawing the taliaman he will be able to draw any three basic talisman so for the practice purpose he has been trying to successfully draw the talisman.

Since he has drawn multiple types of talisman and his proficiency has increased so he has understood that it would be easier for him to for the draw the talisman. So after only third attempt he was successful able to draw the Qi gathering talisman and after that he immediately left the recruitment hall.
