I Became a Leader of a New Nation while in Exile

It was supposed to be a new, quiet, and simple life for 15-year-old noble boy Nate Wole, who was kicked out and exiled by his family for being too weak in favor of his older brother, Hertzel, a selfish warrior who cares only about himself and his skills in magic. Desperate, he traveled to the lowlands of Wooda, where while camping, he had an unlucky encounter with one of the collection of tribes of the Undead Animals, a bunch of hostile undead animals who can wield weapons and shapeshift into humans and were despised and hunted by humans. After getting killed by one of them under an Undead lion named Sati, Nate was saved by them after they regretted their decision to kill him, and Sati eventually gave his position as tribal leader to him. Nate was shocked to here that, but he has no choice but to accept it. And now, he is a leader of Sati’s lion tribe. Soon, he united the other Undead tribes under the new country name, Wooda, while studying to be a good leader, and changed his identity to Lloyd Lewole, completely vanishing his old identity in order to forget his past. Chapter 60 – Forbidden magic?

Third person POV

After that, Camden asked Lloyd if he wanted to see his and his friends' improved abilities. "Sure!" answered Lloyd back readily with enthusiasm. "I would to see them being more improved than they were almost a year ago." Zeke and Sati then stepped in. "Let's go to the backyard then."

And so, all of them went to the main administrative house's vast backyard so Lloyd and his two subordinates would see their new friends' abilities. Gretchel and the others decided to watch it from the back door and near it. In the backyard, Lloyd's childhood friends showed off their magical abilities one by one. Lloyd and the others are watching with anticipation. Electra goes first with her sword skills as a swordsman with lightning ability. She showed some fighting moves coupled with lightning magic flowing through her blade, creating a spectacular show for them.

Lloyd and the others were amazed.

 "Wow…"

 "Amazing…"

After Electra's part, it was Ivory's turn with her staff as a fire mage.

She showed off her fire magic, including summoning a tiger made of flames.

Lloyd and the others were amazed again.

The same goes for Gaia, with her healing abilities as a healer, and Camden, with his earth magic and battle axe as a vanguard.

After that, Camden asked Lloyd and his subordinates how they would think of their abilities. "Wow, so amazing…" Lloyd replied delightfully, "…you guys have grown up so much." Zeke and Sati nodded in agreement, as did Zane and Westlan.

"Thank you so much, Nate-kun," Electra gratefully responded back. "We worked hard to improve our skills."

"Okay!" Lloyd replied, before stepping in to show off his. "My turn!"

"Huh? Yours, too?" Gaia responded to this while she and her friends were a bit surprised to see his actions.

"We thought you don't have any magic," Ivory added.

"No, he does," Sati responded back.

Lloyd then nodded at him and pointed his hand at the distance. "Summon!"

Then, the ground shook a bit, and 3 deceased Undead lions, clad in armor and armed with swords, rose from the ground.

This shocks his childhood friends a lot.

 "Woah!"

 "Is that necromancy?"

 "It is!"

"How did you do that?"

"Yes, guys." Lloyd looked at them with positive coolness. "This is called Summon, of the magic called necromancy. Cool, isn't it?"

His friends from Langton became amazed by it.

 "So cool…"

With that, Lloyd demonstrated his capability of controlling his summoned creatures by moving his hand around, dragging and controlling them like puppets.

He then ended it by putting his hand down, causing the summoned creatures to sink down to the ground.

After that, he looked at his childhood friends. "How was it?"

"That was amazing…" Camden was still amazed.

"Wow, you're so good at controlling!" Electra added enthusiastically.

Gaia and Ivory then nodded to support their compliments.

"Thanks, you guys," Lloyd happily responded back while feeling being appreciated.

"That's necromancy for you," Zeke positively said to his master's friends.

Gretchel and the others were happy that they complimented Lloyd's magic.

But, shortly thereafter, the atmosphere changed when Camden revealed to Lloyd and his subordinates that in Langton, necromancy was labeled and viewed as a forbidden magic. This surprises Lloyd and the others, except for Electra, Ivory, Gaia, and Westlan.

 "What?"

 "Forbidden?"

 "Why?"

"Because it was commonly associated with witchcraft," responded Ivory back, "and thus, due to fear, they created a law that outlawed the use and possession of necromancy."

"Whoever has that or inherited that type of magic will be charged with witchcraft and be executed by either the guillotine or being burned at the stake," Camden responded in continuing the explanation.

Because of what they had heard, Lloyd and the others were in disgust that Langton would make such a ridiculous law out of fear and superstition rather than justice.

Westlan also confirmed that as well.

"That was stupid!" Lloyd was upset by it.

 "Absolutely ridiculous," Sati added.

"That kingdom is too much." Zeke folded his arms for a few seconds.

"Yes, it was," Ivory responded back.

Gretchel and Maria couldn't believe that and now believes that necromancy is not a bad magic.

"That's okay, guys." Lloyd's attitude changed into a determined, optimistic one. "It doesn't matter what magic we have. All of us were different, right?"

His childhood friends then nodded in agreement.

"We don't believe necromancy is a forbidden or an evil magic," Electra commented. "We believe that it was a unique one that has some advantages."

Lloyd and the others were happy to hear that.

Meanwhile, going back to Langton's capital, Hertzel and the remaining soldiers and knights of the kingdom felt ashamed that they had been defeated by a country whose leader was his own younger half-brother. He thinks that the current king of his nation, Albert Talortas, would be so disappointed by him for his failure and defeat. The same thought would go to his own father as well.
