The Truth About Technique Creation

A decade...

Saber had the period of a decade to increase his strength to a substantial level where he could guarantee his survival. Even if he wanted to re-enter Solar System Origin which seemed to have yet to be discovered, he was sure that when the war breaks out, the location of Solar System Origin would be compromised, and all those who are located there would be caught in the war.

"There is an obvious way to guarantee my survival: to become a so-called genius-level talent. Once I do well in the upcoming competition, I'm sure my safety would be guaranteed."

Second stated to the Saber sitting seiza style in front of him. Yet, his words seemed to cause the expression on the face of said Saber to change to that of annoyance as this Saber then said.

"Hey, did I not tell you that they might just end up killing us. Remember, the humans are fighting against other race warriors. We are not humans, and our false identity would be destroyed with just one cut. Unlike humans, we do not have even one drop of red-liquid blood inside our bodies!..."

His words which were spoken in a slightly annoyed and angered tone echoed inside the room. It had been quite some time now since he had been trying to persuade his counterpart that there was no way they should even entertain the thought of joining the tournament of humans...

"Hehehe...!"

Ringed Saber on the other hand only laughed when hearing his counterpart's worry. And when seeing the confusion on the face of the Saber in front of him, Ringed Saber then raised his right palm in front of the face of Saber as he then slit the skin of his palm with the long index nail of his left finger.

Right after, Saber's face morphed into one of alarm and confusion as he questioned the sight his eyes were currently showcasing. It was a shocking sight that would cause even origin Saber to shout in alarm.

"How...!?"

This Saber who was once previously a female muttered in shock at the sight of red liquid blood trickling down the palm of Ringed Saber. Human blood began permeating the dirt ground they sat on, as Ringed Saber then leisurely explained while his wound visibly healed at a shocking rate.

"It was shocking for me too. When I devoured a human for the first time, along with their bloodline, I found that shockingly, when I gain a wound, blood would then ooze out my body. Another thing was the fact that the very inside of my body has become more human-looking..."

Ringed Saber said. The process he took to even investigate his inside was something inhumane to himself yet, he seemed unfazed when thinking back to the memories of tearing his arms and legs off to simply see what changed in his insides.

"Now that that is out the way, it is time to get down to the serious business, and that is becoming stronger." He said. His words then caused his counterpart to raise his fingers, and he then snapped them. Immediately, many dark lights flashed in ringed Saber's surroundings as thousands of pairs of eyes entered the room.

"Well, it's time we enter the fourth floor of the tower...!" Ringed Saber said while gazing at the black ring on his finger. A ring that was infused with his energy as every figure in the room was seemingly sucked into the black ring. Thereafter, the ring was then sucked into a crack in the surrounding space that disappeared right after!

.

.

.

Multiple figures appeared in front of a floating tower situated in a mysterious space. Shockingly, all the figures present held the same features besides the illusionary figure floating in front of the doors of the tower.

"So you finally decided to enter the fourth level of the tower...?" Goldy asked even though he knew the answer. On the other hand, the Saber in the lead who had the hollowest-looking eyes of all other Sabers, and also a black ring on his ring finger, simply floated toward the massive doors of the tower before pushing them open.

"Carry us to the fourth floor!!" He shouted toward the tower. His order was received by a bright white light that shot from the tower and onto the bodies of all the Sabers present...!

.

.

.

"Huh?!"

Saber uttered out in alarm when the sight of shelves and rows of books akin to a library entered his view. Even though there were rows and shelves, there wasn't any sort of flooring as everything remained afloat in a space similar to the space outside the tower.

"What is this place?"

Saber muttered when seeing the illusionary body of Goldy, his master, appearing next to him. On the other hand, Goldy gazed at the questioning eyes of all the Sabers present as he smirked arrogantly.

"Hehe, this my disciple, is my very own, Immortal Technique Library!!!" His arms flared wildly as he grandly shouted, "This place contains not only techniques, something that can only be made by entities at least on the level of True Immortals, but this place contains Immortal Level Techniques!!"

THRUM!

Saber's eyes widened. Not of the fact that this library was filled with Immortal techniques, but because of the words of his master, Goldy. It was specifically the words that mentioned the fact that techniques couldn't be created unless one was at the level of a True Immortal or higher...!

"Huh? What do you mean one needs to be a True Immortal to create techniques...?"

The only Saber who spoke to Goldy, the one with the black ring on his finger, asked in confusion his master a question that truly alarmed him... On the other hand, Goldy's smile widened even more as his arrogant expression rose multiple levels when hearing his disciple's question.

"What I mean is, only entities at the realm of True Immortal or higher can somewhat manipulate a certain mysterious force, making them the only beings capable of creating techniques that can allow for one to express strength many levels higher than what one can normally express.

Yet, even if True Immortals can create techniques, these techniques are still useless to you since True Immortals can only create Mortal Level techniques. The techniques that my previous disciple used were also Mortal Level Techniques..."

Goldy stated. Saber on the other hand gazed at the rows of books that his master claimed can cause even someone like him to express strength higher than what he has...

'So if I learn these "Immortal" techniques, wouldn't I be stronger than origin...!!' Saber thought in excitement.

"This library of mine is not filled with Mortal Techniques though, instead, this is filled with Immortal Level Techniques.

Unlike Mortal Techniques that would take some years to learn, these techniques that are meant for lifeforms higher in strength than even True Immortals, would take way, way, longer to comprehend..."

Hearing this, Saber replied almost immediately, "Hehe, comprehend... I think, my existence is something that one can call a cheat when it comes to comprehension!"

With great confidence clear from the tone with which he spoke, Saber proclaimed the unfairness of his existence compared to others...

What he said wasn't far off the mark since, unlike most other entities, Saber was able to do what others deemed impossible, and increase his comprehension ability, creating an event where his existence is truly completely unfair...
