Tap!

Oblivion's feet landed on the surface of the entrance to the cave that was previously entered by nonother than the City Lord Benjamin.

His sudden appearance brought about the surprise of the group guarding the mouth of the cave as surprising to them, they were unable to sense his arrival.

He did teleport to the entrance, but if it were a normal person, their aura would appear first. For Oblivion, there was nothing as such.

"You, who are you?"

Seeing as they were unable to sense him, it was clear that this person wasn't ordinary.

Since Oblivion had worn a mask when he was around these people, they weren't able to recognize him either by his appearance or by his aura.

Puchi!

Not bothering to speak with these people, Oblivion had already decapitated the head of the black-haired man who had asked for his identity.

Thrum!

Oblivion's current strength was no longer in the same league as these people. With utter ease, before they had time to react, only one person remained...!

Thrum!!

The change in his weapon was already apparent.

Unlike before, the sword didn't need much time at all as instantly after death, it would seem like space was warped and the bodies would turn into blood and flesh before seeping into his weapon.

"P-Please! L-Let me go... I'll do anything!" Crawling away and begging for her life was a woman who seemed to be in her late thirties.

She had a fearful expression as tears and saliva fell from the surface of her chin. At this time, all elegance and charm she previously held had disappeared.

"Tell me what is inside that place the City Lord entered?" Pointing toward the depths of the cave, Oblivion questioned emotionlessly.

Hearing his demand, she build up the courage and said... "I-Inside...? We weren't allowed to enter. I don't know... But, please... can you spare-!"

Puchi!

It didn't even seem like Oblivion swung his blade but with an arc of slight that severed the woman's head from her neck, Oblivion then clicked his tongue in amusement.

"Useless, and you still had the nerve to beg for life...? What a weirdo."

Tsk!

It must be noted that Oblivion still felt that he wasn't close to becoming a Profound Immortal, and by now, one could imagine that he was getting agitated.

Sheathing his sword and attaching it to his waist, Oblivion's figure flickered before reappearing at the entrance of the cave.

He still had to be cautious since he didn't know exactly what the City Lord had come here for.

He knew it was a treasure, and according to some information, there were multiple treasures in the different regions of this floating island.

The core treasure was located here, inside this cave, apparently.

"But since the City Lord is still alive, it means inside the cave isn't too dangerous."

Oblivion had the system ability which allowed him to see the path that led to the City Lord. If it had turned grey, then the person on the other end would be dead.

Since it was still the same blue color, then it meant that he was alive... right?

And just like Oblivion thought, the cave wasn't filled with dangers. No, this was an overstatement since the cave lacked any danger at all.

Did the City Lord get rid of the dangers, or was it like this from the beginning?

Oblivion didn't know, nor did he care.

His figure first slowly made its way into the depths of the cave, but soon, he simply blitz his way intending to reach the end of the path, or until he saw something peculiar.

He truly did reach something that could be labeled as peculiar. Large and imposing doors stood in front of Blade releasing an uncomfortable aura that made one wince in pain.

Under this pressure, Oblivion smirked. For some reason, he felt a connection to this place! That in itself was very weird seeing as he didn't even feel a connection to his family.

The only other thing he felt connected to was a lifeform known as Saber. It was this connection that exempted the thoughts of killing Saber.

To Oblivion, whether knowingly or not, it would feel like killing a part of himself. Though he wouldn't hesitate to end him, it was only after Saber was trying and actually capable of ending him.

"What is... this feeling?"

Oblivion felt baffled to be truthful. It was a rare sensation for someone like him who was almost detached from emotions.

He suddenly desired and placed his hand on the surface of the door. It was as if someone was compelling him to do such an action.

"What kind of treasure is inside... Even capable of affecting my-!"

Oblivion's words were stuck in his throat as his expression darkened. It was hard to place his finger on it but, just like the times he used a special technique, he felt as if his energy was being drained.

Confusion...

He suddenly realized that he wasn't able to retract his hand. Whatever it was, it constantly left his body, making him feel weaker and weaker.

Oblivion's skin grew sickly pale before the energy leaving his body came to a halt. As it stopped, the doors vibrated and slowly opened.

The comfortable feeling of returning home intensified for Oblivion. He didn't even realize when it had occurred but, his feet had already moved.

Before he could perceive the safety of this place, had had already entered past the doors and into an endlessly dark space.

It was darkness brightened by countless stars. Unlike the City Lord, Blade didn't focus on a certain door some distance away.

Oblivion's eyes honed in on the stars. Counting it, though there was the illusion that it seemed like too much to count, it was merely a few thousand.

To be precise, it was three thousand stars and then three hundred & thirty-three much larger stars.

Oblivion had unknowingly found himself dazed. In his mind, countless images played. The three thousand and more stars collided with the three hundred and thirty-three larger stars.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

Countless explosions took place. The darkness of this realm disappeared and so to did the stars, what was left was an endless void of nothingness.

The space was a whitish grey, like the origin of everything. The white space had multi-colored fragments that seemed merged with the void.

Thrum!

In the beginning, there was only nothingness.

Oblivion felt his mind thrum and his heart palpate as he suddenly entered a state of enlightenment.

Before creation, there comes destruction. Nothingness is the root of destruction, annihilation, and ruination. Nothingness is creation and existence. Nothingness is...

Oblivion sat in the void completely relaxed. In his mind, his figure was easily blitzing its way up the endless staircase that led to the unknown.

Bang!

An explosion occurred inside his mind. This was then followed by an explosion that originated from his physical body.

Nothingness is merely a different type of energy... Wherever this energy is present, it reduces everything to nothing, no it devours everything as that becomes more nothingness energy.

Nothingness overwrites anything it comes in contact with.

Flesh and blood lifeform, rock lifeform, plant lifeform, energy lifeform, or even inanimate objects, once they contact with nothingness, the essence is overwritten and becomes nothingness.

"Level One Profound Immortal...!"

Opening his eyes, Oblivion could feel the energy bubbling inside him. He could feel the surrounding energy that existed.

Void lacked energy, but it was nothing.

Nothing was energy!
