Oblivion Vs Red Eye Berserker

Tsk!

Red Eye Berserker clicked his tongue, annoyed as he realized Oblivion had somehow already sensed them. They were in trouble now!

Both he and Golden Serpent couldn't leave the group at the same time because if this was a trap and the Pseudo Profound Immortals were killed, they would be in a troublesome situation.

They didn't want to have to fight a group of people with just the two of them. Even if the chances of Oblivion working with others is low, there is still a chance and they couldn't overlook it.

"I'll go!" Golden Serpent said. But...

"No! I will go. It would be troublesome if we are ambushed while you chase after him, after all, you know how I fight, I wouldn't be able to control myself." Red Eye Berserker said. His point was valid.

Someone with the title berserker shouldn't be left to protect his allies. He was someone who when fighting liked to fight with his full power, not caring for his surroundings. He was a brute. A brute with nothing besides immense strength.

But, it was with this immense strength which was incredibly deadly!

BOOM!!

Nodding her head in understanding, Golden Serpent then watched as Red Eye Berserker quickly surpass sound. The five Pseudo Profound Immortals close by understood they were the reason for the split. They were moving at their fastest speed yet, this wasn't anywhere near enough.

WAA!

Suddenly, besides Golden Serpent, a tall red-eyed figure with tan skin and black hair appeared. He was different from Red Eye Berserker though. His body was seemingly transparent.

"My body is already catching up. It seems his physical power can't compare to mine... This is his top speed!" Red Eye Berserker's Spirit Form conveyed the situation to Golden Serpent. While they rushed toward Oblivion, the Spirit Form would guide them to the path which led to Oblivion.

Oblivion was after all not running in a straight line, so for the others who couldn't see him, Red Eye Berserker needed to form a spirit form to guide the others.

"Huh?!"

Suddenly, the spirit form's expression froze in shock and he said with confusion clear from his tone.

"It seems that he's stopped running. Hehe, it seems that he realized it was simply me chasing him so he thinks that he can get rid of me!" Red Eye Berserker's black hair flared as he was seemingly offended by such an action. Golden Serpent asked.

"How long will it take us?" She questioned. Though she didn't say it, from her expression alone, it was clear she had smelled something fishy. 'Surely. Being soo confident, he has a backup plan. There is no way he would he'll try attacking Berserker if he wasn't confident...' She thought.

"With your current pace, I'll say in a few minutes..." Red Eye Berserker said with a cold expression. He to understood that Oblivion would have some plan to reverse a horrible situation. Whether it be a hidden attacking treasure or an escaping talisman, they needed to be careful. They didn't want their prey to escape after all.

If he did, it would be very troubling. No one was allowed to kill other human adventurers after all. If they were to be caught, the City Lord wouldn't let them go.

...

...

"So, you think you've got a chance because I'm alone?" Red Eye Berserker said with a cold and ruthless expression. A club with spikes sticking out of it appeared on his hand after his black space ring lit up.

Seeing his angered expression, Oblivion simply smirked. The sword on his waist was slowly unsheathed as a white aura began permeating around the edges of the blade.

This was Sword Intent. Something that any Immortal Cultivator who has a Sword as their weapon could use.

After entering the Immortal realms, Oblivion, or at that time the mere copy of Saber, he had completely abandoned the sword, only using it to kill his opponents and not focusing on comprehending the way of the sword.

The weapon element was similar to other elements, yet unlike other elements, one didn't need to be chosen by the element to comprehend it. So even though Oblivion's element was nothingness, Oblivion could still comprehend the Sword as if it was his element.

Of course, those like Liam, who was chosen by the element would be many times stronger in a fight between two opponents with the same level of comprehension.

Their speed at comprehending would also be many times faster. It wasn't an overstatement to say that those who weren't chosen by a weapon element would remain at the Half-Step Immortal. This was the reason why 90% of Half-Step Immortals didn't become Immortal cultivators and would run out of lifespan.

Oblivion was an exception.

It had taken him a couple of decades to become an Immortal Cultivator.

Even great geniuses like Liam and the others took a couple of thousand years. It could be said that Oblivion could have become an Immortal in a much shorter time if he had been cultivating from an early stage.

If this was known throughout the Cosmos, forget just the Humans, every race would feel a shiver in every cell in their body. They would immediately set out to kill this abomination.

Tsk!

Thinking this, Oblivion couldn't believe the copy he once was would waste such great talent with comprehending weapon elements. If his past self had continued, the power Oblivion would have currently been able to exert...

It definitely would at the very least been able to reach the Peak Profound Immortal ream, or even the realms higher!!

Oblivion's dark pupils followed the direction in which the club of Red Eye Berserker came from as he chopped his massive broad sword downward in the same direction.

A gleaming white light coated the edges of the blade giving it a holy sensation as Oblivion clashed head-on with the Berserker who almost burst out laughing after seeing Oblivion's actions.

At first, he was wary.

He didn't understand Oblivion's way of thinking. And because he couldn't read Oblivion's thoughts and predict his next moves, Red Eye Berserker was cautious enough to conserve his strength when rushing toward Oblivion just in case the kid had something up his sleeves.

But...

Hehe...

It seems that the masked brat only had allure.

His intelligence seemed to be lacking. One couldn't predict the next moves of an idiotic fool after all, so it was obvious that Oblivion came off as mysterious.

Seeing the brat slashing toward him with the massive three-meter broad sword, Red Eye Berserker's aura exploded as his club descended.

80%

He decided that he'll raise his power some more so he could completely crush Oblivion in one strike. He was confident if the weapon in Oblivion's hand was truly a High-Level Weapon, it would be able to survive the force of his attack, on the other hand, he wasn't so sure about Oblivion's chances of remaining in one piece after being on the receiving end of such force.

BOOM!!!

A massive explosion. The shockwaves were powerful as whatever a creature was unlucky enough to be in the surrounding tens of kilometers were instantaneously obliterated in a bloody pump.

Such was the power of Profound Immortals. Entities capable of decimating even clusters of stars and planets, otherwise known as Solar Systems.

Argh!!

A heart-wrenching bellow of pain suddenly resounded throughout the surroundings of Red Eye Berserker and Oblivion.

Thud!

Of the two figures who clashed weapons, Red Eye Berserker flew into a threw from the momentum of Oblivion's attack as he spat out a mouthful of blood!!!
