A Path

The leader was sent flying across the room in way more pain compared to his underlings. Saber and Aegon both knew that it was better to not kill, plus the servants said that soon they'll be able to kill to their heart's content, so they left the building while still focusing on a book and ice cream.

"Hey, who were they?" Aegon asked. Since Saber had followed them without hesitation, Aegon thought that Saber had probably known who they were.

"Well, according to the contents of this story, they seem to be thugs aka random side characters who are envious of the attractiveness displayed by the main leads." Saber said as he flipped the page of his book.

Aegon could only chuckle because of Saber's childish behavior. He was similar to a kid who had gotten to eat ice cream for the first time. With that in his mind, Aegon felt as if he was the mature one, as he then went on to continue focusing on his vanilla ice cream.

Sitting on a couch were two figures. At this moment the duo found interest in something else. With their eyes glued to the massive floating tv, Saber had a wicked smirk on his face as he saw what seemed to be another version of himself, hammering Aegon around the fighting ring.

"Haha, just like now, I will beat your ass in a few days!" Saber shouted in pure bliss. Even though he couldn't fight with Aegon now, Saber was happy with this.

Humph!

Aegon snorted as he then defended himself. "I-I am simply not that good with video games. This match does not decide anything." Soon after saying such words, Aegon and Saber began a verbal argument, and for once, Saber acted his age.

Sadly, such things weren't actually for him to enjoy.

Zeno being the calculative man he is would have been able to see this coming, so the question was, why would he want his master to develop a good relationship with someone else. Was it truly for his master's happiness?

Or was it something more...something much darker and much more wicked...

Sitting on top of his rather expansive bed, Saber played with the black ring in his hand. Soon after, an illusionary figure appeared next to him. Along with his master's appearance, Leviathan also appeared on his shoulder.

"Did you get it?!" Saber coldly asked Leviathan. Knowing what his master wanted, Leviathan instantly did it, as a screen appeared in front of Saber's eyes.

"Slaughter points?

So it seems that he is somewhat similar to me and also has a system. But, why would they call him a fallen angel, don't tell me there was a time he was a good person, even when being a demon?" Saber said with his right hand under his chin.

Now that he had seen Aegon's stats, Saber wondered what race transformations were since neither of them seem to be able to unlock such things.

"Master, according to your memories, you used a race transformation. Well, it was more of a sign rather than the actual transformation itself, but you still did use it." Leviathan said. The words shocked Saber since he couldn't remember a time when he did use such a thing.

The ears of his master perked in interest when hearing this. He was currently eating an apple while gazing at the streets below, but he couldn't help but take interest in the words of Leviathan.

"It was the time when you fused with the burning star. Though it was only one, and also a very short time, this did classify as a race transformation." Leviathan said.

Hearing this, Saber remembered the time when he did absorb a burning star. That was in the beast world, and he turned into a skeleton after that.

"Speaking of those burning stars...I am unsure if I'll ever see them again. After all, they were inside of my mind, yet I do not have a mind domain anymore." Saber uttered.

His voice contained traces of disappointment, but the only one in the room who knew otherwise was of course his master, who only smiled when hearing Saber's words.

"Oh my disciple, are you planning to boycott your training?" Saber's master asked in a teasing tone.

Tsk!

"Can you not see that I am busy, do you think I care for some meditation session." Saber coldly replied. He did not even tell his master to come out of the Black Ring, yet the guy dared to do so even when he isn't asked to.

Sigh!

"Such an impatient little brat. Use that brain of yours, if you have already become a True Lifeform, what oneself bullshit are you talking about. You have technically already entered the third level of the tower. And there is a very interesting item there for you." Saber's master said. The last words he said in a soft whispering tone as if he was telling a big secret.

Saber's eyes lit up with the mention of the item. Saber's master's tone also didn't help in easing his excitement, but before he could enter the Black Ring and see what his master was telling him about, he heard a knock on the door.

Tsk!

*Click*

Saber approached the door and opened it, there he saw one of the blue-haired siblings bowing in his direction.

He was slightly annoyed but seeing that on the other side of the hallway, Aegon seemed to have also been interrupted by the other sibling, Saber's nerves calmed slightly as he shot a questioning gaze toward the female in front of him.

"The head servant has ordered us to tell the masters that starting from tomorrow, you will both be attending the most prestigious school in this world."

Bam Bam!...

Both Aegon and Saber slammed the doors in rage as Saber had explained a while back to Aegon what transpires in school.

Aegon never attended school, so Saber was kind enough to explain in depth about the annoying arrogant and envious men, the lustful females, and last but not least, that one annoying class president that is the upholder of justice.

When hearing this, similarly to Saber, Aegon also disliked the idea of attending school, yet these servants had the nerve...

"Kekeke..."

Saber slammed the door, only to hear a peal of stifled laughter from Saber's master and Leviathan as the golden-haired man pointed his finger at Saber while he shouted.

"Hahaha...that's what you get for being rude to your elders. Haha, karma is a bitch, and I like bitches the most!"

"Are you sure you are my master, a so-called supreme genius capable of creating a technique that made it impossible for you to be killed?" Saber mumbled under his breath. Thereafter, he ignored his master and approached his bed where he sat in a meditative position.

'Even though I could simply use Kill points, such a thing is impossible since the amount I have is way too little for my current strength.' Saber thought.

Thereafter, he closed his eyes, as he appeared on an indefinite pathway with dark purple flooring.

'This place is supposed to be where I am to comprehend Primordial Chaos to a deeper level! Primordial Chaos said that I should simply...walk forward?!'
