Chapter 102 –Future Arc (5)

As we faced off against the monstrous being that was once Liz Allan, I couldn't help but feel a sense of confusion. The woman before us, with her transformation into a monster, i would call it Octavia, and this is like a twisted version of Liz Allan.

"Why are you becoming like this, Liz?" I blurted out, my voice filled with empathy and frustration.

Peter turned to me, his expression a mix of confusion and concern. "What Liz?" he asked, clearly puzzled by my words. He knew who Liz Allan was, but he couldn't understand why I would refer to this monstrous creature as her.

Realizing Peter's confusion, I clarified my statement. "Sorry, Peter. I meant Liz Allan. It's... it's hard to believe, but that's her," I explained, gesturing towards the monstrous figure before us. "Something must have happened to her to make her... like this."

Peter's eyes widened in shock as he processed my words. "Liz Allan? But... why?" he stammered, his confusion evident.

I could see the disbelief written across Peter's face as he struggled to reconcile the image of the woman before us with the Liz Allan he once knew. It was a difficult truth to accept, but there was no denying the reality of the situation.

"After we split up, Liz moved away," Peter continued, his voice filled with a mix of memories and regret."After that, MJ and I got together while Liz was living her life out in Oregon."

As Peter spoke, memories of his past relationship with Liz flooded back to me. I remembered the pain and heartache that had accompanied their breakup (of course in the comics or movies), and I couldn't help but wonder what had led Liz down this dark path.

Peter's gaze returned to the monstrous figure of Octavia, his expression filled with a mixture of sorrow and disbelief. "Why? Is it really her?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

I nodded solemnly, confirming Peter's suspicions. "Yes, Peter. It's Liz Allan," I replied, my voice heavy with sorrow. "I don't know how or why she's ended up like this, but it's definitely her."

As we stared at the monstrous form of Liz Allan, now known as Octavia, I couldn't help again but feel a pang of sympathy for her. Whatever had driven her to this point, it was clear that she was suffering in some way.

But there was no time for pity or remorse. Octavia was a threat to the Spider-Verse, and we had to stop her before she could cause any more harm. With a shared nod, Peter and I prepared to face Liz Allan, also known as Octavia.

As Octavia's tentacles kept attacking us, Peter spoke up, sounding determined but also a bit desperate. "Liz, why are you doing this?" he asked, looking at her with hope, hoping to find some reason behind her actions.

But Octavia, or Liz Allan as she used to be, didn't show any kindness. "Don't call me that," she snapped, her voice full of anger. "You're not Peter Parker."

Peter's brow furrowed in confusion, but he didn't back down. "But I am," he insisted, his voice unwavering. "I am Peter Parker."

Octavia laughed, sounding cruel and mocking. "No, you're not," she said meanly. "You're just from the past. The real Peter is from the future."

Peter didn't let Octavia's mean words bring him down. He got even stronger. "Even if I'm from the past," he said firmly, "I'm still Spider-Man, I'm still the Peter Parker, you knew." His determination showed he wasn't backing down, no matter what.

Peter's words really got to me, reminding me of a quote from Uncle Ben: With great power comes great responsibility.

Then Octavia's voice thundered with fury, her words cutting through the chaos like a blade, I felt a chill run down my spine. "No, You are not Him!!!" she shouted, her voice echoing with rage and disbelief.

In that moment, as her tentacles lashed out with deadly intent, Peter and I acted together. Our spider-sense helped us dodge, swiftly evading the dangerous attacks. We moved quickly, side by side, escaping the strikes that came at us fast.

But even as we evaded her attacks, I could sense Peter's hesitation, he is still shock at the revelation of who Octavia truly was. I knew he was struggling to come to terms with the fact that someone he once knew had become this monstrous being before us.

In the middle of all the fighting, I looked at Octavia, who used to be Liz Allan. Even though she looked like a monster now, I refused to see her as anything other than the woman she once was—a person who had known pain and loss, just like me.

"Liz," I yelled, making sure she could hear me over all the noise of the fight, "I know you're in pain. I can see it in your eyes, feel how sad you are. But fighting like this isn't the right thing to do. We can figure out a different way to solve this.

Octavia's eyes narrowed, her expression hardening with resolve. "It's too late for that," she declared, her voice cold and unforgiving. "I've made my choice, and I won't let anyone stand our way."

Octavia attacked us with her tentacles, throwing many punches at Peter and me. We quickly moved around, dodging her hits like we've done it many times before.

As we fought, I couldn't help but wonder what had driven Liz Allan to this point. What had happened to her in these universe future timeline? What darkness had consumed her soul and turned her into this monstrous being?

As Octavia's attacks grew more fierce, I knew we had to find a way to turn the tide of battle. But how do we defeat her without killing her? After all we were facing a formidable opponent here, one whose powers seemed almost limitless. We couldn't simply overpower her without risking her life, but taking her life was never an option for us. it's just not who we are.

In that moment of intense battle, suddenly I got a great idea. Even though the situation was really intense, But I felt a little hopeful because I thought of a way we might win without killing her. I knew I had to tell Peter about it, because we were in this together, and it could be our best shot at winning against our enemy.

"Peter," I yelled, trying to make my voice heard over the noise of the fight. I could see he was still hesitating, But we didn't have time for hesitation, not when the fate of the Spider-Verse hung in the balance. We had to stay focused on the task at hand, no matter how tough it felt.

"Listen, Pete," I said firmly, locking eyes with him to emphasize the seriousness of my words. "I know we can't kill her. That's why this fight feels so impossible. But if we work together, we can subdue her without causing any permanent harm."

Peter's expression softened, his gaze reflecting understanding and solidarity. "Yeah, I know," he replied, his tone carrying a mixture of determination and empathy. "But It's tough, Michael. Facing someone I used to know, even in this form, it's never easy."

"Pete," I continued, my tone firm and unwavering. "I know it's hard, given who she used to be, we can't afford to hesitate now."

In that moment, I could tell from the look on Peter's face that he was torn between determination and doubt. He was wrestling with some big feelings inside. But even though he seemed unsure, I knew he knew how serious things were. We had to set aside our personal feelings and work together to subdue this threat.

"Your right, thank you. Michael," Peter said, his voice filled with gratitude and determination. He flashed me a small smile, his eyes reflecting a newfound resolve. "Let's do this," he added, his gaze locking onto Octavia's eyes with unwavering focus.

With renewed determination, Peter and I launched into action, We moved together, dodging Octavia's attacks and looking for a chance to strike back.

As we continued to battle Octavia, I kept a close eye on her movements, searching for any weaknesses or vulnerabilities we could exploit. Suddenly, I noticed a pattern in her attacks that we could use to our advantage. She seemed to have a tendency to extend all her tentacles at once, leaving them vulnerable to being entangled with each other.

Realizing this, I shouted to Peter, "Peter, I've noticed a pattern in her attacks! When she extends all her tentacles at once, we can use that moment to entangle them with each other. We know Her tentacles are too strong for webbing, but they can't withstand being wrapped around each other!"

Peter nodded, understanding the plan. With precision timing, we waited for Octavia to extend her tentacles once more. As soon as they were fully extended, we sprang into action, each of us targeting a different set of tentacles.

With our battle experience, we maneuvered around Octavia, quickly wrapping her tentacles around each other before she could react. As the tentacles became entangled, Octavia let out a furious roar, struggling to break free from our grasp.

Octavia tried hard to get free, but she couldn't. She struggled a lot, but she was stuck in the tangled tentacles.

"It's pointless, Octavia,It's over" I called out, my voice firm but tinged with sadness. "You've become a monster, and that's clouded your judgment. Cause If you were thinking clearly, you could have stopped all of our plan."

Then Peter interjected, "Wait, you named her Octavia?" He made a funny face, clearly finding the naming amusing.

I chuckled at Peter's remark, despite the tense situation. "Yeah, it seemed fitting," I replied, a smirk playing at the corner of my lips. "Plus, it adds a dramatic flair to our encounters, don't you think?"

As Peter tried to talk to me, Octavia's voice burst out angrily, slicing through the air like a sharp blade.

It seems Octavia's rage only seemed to intensify, her eyes burning with fury as she struggled against "I don't care about those things anymore" she spat, her voice dripping with venom."As long as I can help my Peter, then all of this is worth it."

Then Peter's voice trembled with a mix of sadness and understanding as he spoke to Octavia, or perhaps the part of her that was still Liz. He gazed deeply into her eyes, hoping to find a glimmer of recognition amidst the anger. "Liz," he said softly, his voice carrying the weight of their shared history and unspoken feelings.

Peter's voice took on a gentle yet resolute tone, as if trying to reach beyond the monstrous facade to the person he once knew. "You don't have to stay like this," he pleaded, each word carrying the weight of his regret and the flicker of hope for redemption. "You don't have to follow my future orders." His words hung heavy in the air, carrying with them the weight of regret and the hope of redemption.

"That's why I liked you back then, for who you are," Peter continued, his voice showing signs of emotion "You are a fighter, Liz. You fought for what you believed in and for love." Each word was filled with a bittersweet nostalgia, a reminder of a time when things were easier between them.

Octavia's words cut through the tension like broken glass, her voice carrying the weight of her inner turmoil. "Then why?" she cried out, her tone a mix of desperation and sorrow. "Why did you choose her? Why?"

Her voice cracked with the weight of unspoken pain, every word echoing the depths of her anguish. "We could have just changed the future for the better place," she insisted, her words tinged with a bitter longing for what could have been. "So why create a new timeline just to be with her?"

I understood what she meant. It seemed like she was referring to Mary Jane, Peter Parker's current girlfriend.

Before Peter could speak, there was a loud boom! It came from the other side of the base. Peter and I both jumped in surprise.

In the chaos that happened, my mind raced with worry for Miguel. The explosion happened where he was. Was he safe? What made the explosion? These thoughts raced through my mind, making me more worried with each passing moment.
