Chapter 60

The offensive has formally started as starships of varying sizes warped to the star systems adjacent to their staging grounds.

Starships from the Empire with sizes varying from as small as 100 meters to as large as 2 kilometers all moved in such a highly coordinated manner that the precision was so high it caused great damages both to the Imperium controlled star systems and Rebel Alliance controlled star systems.

As the fleet lead by Kyloe Rein warped and dropped out of hyperspace directly to the star system of the icy planet of Hoth, a planet almost immediately happened.

Rebel Alliance starfighters such the Y wing and the X wing flew out of the starbase floating high above the planet to meet the large swarm of TIE and TIE advanced fighters.

Powerful laser cannons from the Rebel Alliance fleet stationed on the Hoth star system gone toe to toe with the large Imperial fleet lead by Kyloe Rein as laser fire lit up the darkness of space.

"Charge the main cannon and rip that rebel battleship to shreds! I want them resting with the force after this! I still have to fight the Imperium" ordered Kyloe Rein as her outfit of a normal long black cloaked covering her face fluttered at her movement.She has two lightsabers holstered on the two sides of her robe as it can be easily seen by anyone looking at her.

"Lady Rein, enemy in position. Primary cannon initialized..." said an Imperial officer as he tapped different buttons on te screen in front of him.

"Primary cannon fully charged, ready to fire at any moment." repirted the Imperial officer as he redied himself to push the button that says "fire".

"Fire! Rip them to shreds." the hazy and chilling voice of Kyloe was heard by the Imperial officer which immediately pushed the button for the primary cannon to fire.

On space, the star destroyer in which Kyloe Rein is riding had its primary cannon suddenly light up as there it started to build up a large ball of red light and then suddenly, a thick pillar of laser fire suddenly fired out of the red orb like energy that gathered on the primary cannon.

All starfighter, be it of Empire origin or Rebel Alliance was disintegrated to nothingness as it never left any scraps or debris to signify thwir existence on this battle.

Aboard the capital ship of the Rebel Alliance system defense fleet was in chaos as the energy shield came in contact with the deasly laser pillar of the enemy star destroyer primary cannon. From the looks of it, the energy shields can't hold on much longer, so because of this the general ordered for an emergency evacuation to the planet as there, at least they can be at least safe from the enemy because of the existence of the planetary shield generators.

"Evacuate hurry!" urged an officer as people started to enter exit pods and shot into the planet of Hoth but before anything can happen the shields broke and the battleship became their graveyard.

What handful of the people that escaped on the exit pods was systematically chased and killed by the swarm of innumerable starfighter such as TIE and TIE advanced fighters.

The Empire has achieved space superiority on the star system of Hoth and from the looks of it, Rebel Alliance will taste its greatest defeat yet to date.

Holy Terra, Adeptus Custodes starbase...

This usually quiet and isn't completely bustling the kind of bustling starbase owned by the Adeptus Custodes. But, it suddenly gained notoriety minutes after the official news of the desperate push of the Empire was released by the state media.

Because this starbase that didn't seem to have any capabilities at all from the outside suddenly turned into a golden fortress that almost resembled a Blackstone fortress in first glance.

The golden color of this starbase shone due to the light coming directly from Sol as it gained life and the equipments for mobility suddenly showed itself to the world.

The thrusters slowly formed changing the whole shape of the starbase as weapons of unknown origin and power protruded on its hulls.

The main cannon or rather cannons are facing the 4 main directions and it also has the ability of turning around, thus eliminating any blind spot on the starbase.

The Emperor is currently on the hangar of this gigantic starbase that measures literally thousands of kilometers in diameter as this was the hangar of the his two flagships, the Emperor's Dream and the name of Alexander's horse. Minus the fact that this is also the starbase where the all of the battleships under the Custodians are stored, it's really a gigantic carrier of battleships.

"Captain General, are you sure you're taking care of this starbase of yours? This looks like it's out of commission but suddenly was pulled back to service." joked the Emperor as he and his entourage of the Custodians, including the man himself Constantin Valdor and Silent Sisters.

"Of course your majesty! This is being cleaned thoroughly every single day for this very faithful day of it seeing the light of battle once more." reasoned the Captain General as he tapped his chest with pride. He's the Captain General of the great Adeptus Custodes, if he fails to even have their starbase cleaned then he's a failure and doesn't deserve this position.

"I'm just joking, I'm just joking." cleared the Emperor as his bodyguards looked at each other before shrugging.

"Aren't they supposed to be smart? How come they can't pick up a sarcasm?" the Emperor asked in his mind before throwing it to the back of his head as he needs to focus on the matter at hand.

He will end the war and start on his journey to the omniverse. Not even the Force can and will stop him. He'll make sure of that and just to be entirely sure that the war will end today, he's going to ensure it by including some other entities like the Blackstone Fortress, and the Phalanx.

He'll also bring the starbase of the Custodes on the fray to further ensure the victory. He won't fail because there's no way the Imperium will lose.

As they slowly walked on the bridge they finally reached the hangar, there, he saw thousands of battleships of varying length, weapons, and many more. But they all have a common factor, and that is the golden color.

The Emperor was ecstatic as he's basically shouting how cool is this scene. This reaction was influenced by the memories but after a couple more seconds he finally regained his cool.

"Very well, it's time to end this..."

Some light dimension...

"Damn it! Damn it! Some bastard meddled with his memories! Damn it!" shouted the Spirit of the Light Side of the Force as he stomoed in the ground causing it to crack.

The light dimension was getting its color dulled down as it's losing against the Dark Side, the star on it's very center has almost totally got its light put out.

"We must descend and complete our plans..." said the Light Side of the Force who's basically the dull colored star.

"But how are we going to descend? We gave already made our body descend!" questioned the Spirit as he sat on the ground angry.

He just heard a chuckle from the Light Side who started to explain how.

Dark Dimension...

"This is the day we'll end that man once and for all! However we should be wary for a bastard meddled with his memories and we can't be sure if his current self has already changed." said the Dark Side of the Force as a gigantic rip on space in front of him and his spirit can be seen.

"How are we going to descend?" asked the spirit as he fixed her clothes and straightened it.

"We're going to use the soul harvester..."
