I AM THE AUTHOR

"You can't do it." They all said, glaring down at her. "Why? I want to write a book." She said, wilting under their cold stares. "Just look at how you've fallen. How are you even going to write a book? This is all your fault." they chorused. Indeed, Seanae was sprawled on the icy cobblestones. Her scraped knees were bleeding waves of crimson. "B-but you're the ones who pushed me." She whimpered. Suddenly, they all went dead quiet. Seanae looked down, embarrassed. "You can't do it." They repeated. "You can't even pick yourself up." But she did. Slowly, she dusted off her knees and limped into a standing position. "You're wrong. I can do it, and I will," she told them. And with that, "English Rose" was published. ~~~~ Pls help dis rando author ;-; I have dirt bank account and dirt writing skills but gold imagination ~~~~ Please give me viewssssss art release every 5k *read till at least the second chapter before you decide to ditch it pls* - EVERY WEEKDAY (daily updates monday-friday and maybe on the weekends too?) I AM THE AUTHOR

CHAPTER TWO

For the second time, Seanae awoke on an itchy mattress. As she opened her eyes, she was instantly jumpscared by a big, fat. browned nose. And a big wart too. She instantly sprung up and jolted back.

"Good morning, darling." Said the fat-nosed hag, flashing sharp, pointed teeth. Like that of a shark. "F-fortune teller?!" I stammered, jolting away. "If that's what you want to call me. That stupid creator of the universe will finally be off my track now.

"H-How am I alive? I thought someone slit my throat." I asked, patting my neck. Un harmed. Smooth skin all around. The hag smiled. "That they did. You're alive because you're not Cordelia." Again. I guess today was a good day. "Your curse is to undo what was written on paper. You won't fully die until that is fulfilled. Until that is, you'll just be flitting from body to body."

It was coming together a bit now. "What's the price?" I asked. "What price?" The hag asked, and I looked down at my hands. Skinny, graceful fingers. Not Cordelia's hands, which were chubby in comparison. "The price for coming back to life. You know. This isn't Cordelia."

"You're smart, darling. Alright. I'll tell you. Every time you die, it gets harder. Look at yourself now, for example. It will be a lot harder for you to carry on now, but it's something you must do." The hag sang, handing me a cracked mirror. As soon as I saw my reflection, I dropped it. Eden. The emperor's daughter. Now, 18 years old.

The person that had killed me. The person who had slit Cordelia's throat. Eden. I was Eden.
