Chapter 54 - A Little Walk Gone Wrong

"So, Ainz-san. I saw in the Group Chat that you wanted to test destructive spells on the Orc?" Rimuru asked while the other members were being served drinks like alcohol or juices.

"Umu. I had recently received equipment for Ray-senpai and wanted to test it out and the mission just conveniently appeared." Ainz nodded and excitedly explained while showing them a green glowing orb he held inside his skeletal palm.

Everyone has various reactions when looking at the Refresher Orb in Ainz's palm because everyone has an Observation function from the Group Chat System that allows them to see details of anything they observe.

"I don't get what the hype is. It just immediately completes all existing cooldown and that's all." Kazuma said while reading the orb's ability.

Everyone else also agrees because the concept of cooldown for ability or skills is non-existent or very rare for them. But not for Ainz because of the nature of his method of Isekai.

"Well, to put it simply. Ainz got Isekai in his game character. He possessed not only in-game items but also skills and abilities. Including the ridiculously powerful one with a very long cool down that can take days to months." Ray, who is drinking fruit wine offered by a female goblin, explains to the group before he enjoys their reactions.

"Is it the Super Tier Spells thing you talked about in the group?" Rimuru immediately came to a realization and unknowingly slammed his hands on the table in sheer disbelief.

"Indeed. With the Refresher Orb. Not only can I clear the cool down of the Super Tier Magic, but also the daily usage limit. Allowing me to use up to 6 each day." Ainz explains before bursting into a jovial laugh as he can't wait anymore to test out the Refresher Orb.

Then the rest of the other members look at each other judgingly. But Kazuma was immediately singled out because his Battle Power was so pathetically low that even average goblins have over a thousand where he only has a little over a hundred.

Rimuru, Hajime and Tanya ended up spending time talking about their ability and the role they will take during the battle. However, the conversation somehow gets sidetracked when they are talking about abilities and Hajime starts showcasing his ability to craft using his Synergist ability, Transmute.

With Ainz and Rimuru chipping in materials out of curiosity and then added with Hajime's intelect, he created a pair of black and red accented techno-magical revolver and also a prosthetic arm for his missing arm.

Ainz tried to fire the revolver since his equipment restrictions and other restrictions had been removed by Ray. He tried to fire the revolver once and poured his mana into the chambered bullet. But the gun exploded in his face instead because he put too much mana.

Anyway, everyone goof around and spend their time waiting for the battle to commence. Kazuma, Tanya and Hajime are at Kaijin's blacksmith. Hajime is focused in using this opportunity to learn blacksmithing skills while the other two just wonder if they can get free stuff, especially Kazuma who isn't shameless to custom order an entire armor set and a sword for himself when Rimuru offer this experience to everyone although Ray and Ainz is not interested and them two went missing suddenly which made Rimuru a little worried because he had a bad feeling about this.

"Uhm, Ray-senpai… Where are we going?" Ainz asked with a little bit of worry and a lot of curiosity.

"To get myself another daughter. People like her a lot apparently and they had been nagging me to get her." Ray answered.

Ainz didn't immediately say anything and silently gave the answer a thought. He wonders who it is that could be nagging his senpai a lot that he is forced to do something he does not particularly like to do.

"So, where is this daughter you are looking for, senpai?" Ainz wondered as they had been crossing great distances even though they only walked a few steps from Great Jura Forest. Their surroundings are no longer filled with green but instead a desert canyon landscape.

"I have no idea actually and something pesky is trying to hide her away from me." Ray said while looking a little annoyed before his shadow started spreading and surged.

In the next moment, like a solar eclipse occured. The sky turns black and the sky is filled with bright red lines dotting the pitch black sky. But directly above Ray is a large neon red circle instead of red lines.

Ainz is quite shocked as he can see the Eldritch feature that was previously hidden, start spilling out into reality around Ray like he is a virus that corrupts reality. From his shadow, Ainz can see black tentacles, sets of teeth that make low growls and moans and also eyes darting around while displaying a multitude of emotions that range from anger, excitement, curiosity to horror and hysteria.

Then when Ray suddenly opened his eyes. Ainz's skeletal body immediately turned stiff as he saw the red lines on the sky slowly split open to reveal eyes that blotted the entire sky while the red circle revealed an even bigger black Eldritch eyeball darting around in sync with the other lesser eyes as Ray scour the entire globe in search for the daughter he was looking for.

The phenomena is happening all across the world simultaneously and everyone definitely saw it. The terrifying eyes that blotted the sky.

Some arrogant people tried to attack it we not so lucky as the shadow casted on the land is very much alive and numerous people that tried to attack the eyes were either killed by tentacles sprouting from the shadow or monstrous jaws with razor sharp teeths devoured them and leave only their belongings like clothes and weapons that the jaws spat out. However there are some strong people that could resist the tentacles and the jaws. They manage to cut their eyes and foolishly think they are superior when what they achieved is destroying the veil Ray purposely put in place to protect the reality. What they saw from beyond the veil turned them mad and insane instead before they all commit suicide.

Meanwhile in the Goblin Village. Rimuru, Hajime, Tanya and Kazuma look up at the sky after everyone is raising a commotion when seeing the eyes in the sky.

Then suddenly a message appeared in the Group Chat which made them feel relieved but shocked at the same time.

Ainz Ooal Gown: Don't worry about the eyes in the sky. It's Senpai's power. He said this ability is harmless and only helps expand his vision to aid his search.

Ainz Ooal Gown: Btw, Senpai and I are in the desert canyon in the south. He said he is looking for a daughter.

Rimuru: 👌

Hajime: 👌

Kazuma: 👌

Tanya: 👌

The four of them are speechless and all have a similar conjecture and conclusion.

"The Admin, Ray is actually an Eldritch God right? There is no mistake this is an Eldritch God power." Rimuru said while his head was staring up in the sky.

Rimuru is very sure because of the Great Sage and his knowledge from his first life. While the rest relies on knowledge of their past life.

Hajime didn't show much reaction other than some amazement.

Kazuma however is totally shocked and couldn't believe his eyes and ears.

Tanya is wondering if she can ask Ray's help to kill the Being X and free her from Being X torment.
