59 Mild Shock

"Welcome back, Peter." Juno greeted as Peter stepped out of the portal removing his mask. Removing his suit, Peter grabbed a bottle of cold water and poured it over his head.

"Phew..." Peter breathed out slicking his hair back. Docking his suit, Peter then retrieved seven glass vials that contained six more symbiotes besides Venom. Transferring the Klyntars to a bigger glass container, Peter took a seat in front of his desk as he began working.

"You found something rather fascinating, didn't you?" Juno mused as she saw Peter perform an initial analysis on the seven extra-terrestrial organisms.

"Yep, and thanks to the Meteor which by the way, I hope you haven't forgotten to transfer over to the HQ for analysis?" Eryl responded with a snarky comment which in turn just earned a scoff from Juno.

"I don't forget anything, dear sister." Juno retorted as she presented Peter with the post-analysis report. "This is the initial report. You can expect a detailed one within an hour."

"Good job, Juno." Peter smiled as he skimmed through the details. "An unknown metal, fantastic. Needs to be analysed separately. Also, see if you can trace the trajectory of the meteor and find out where it came from. These parasites are quite intelligent but not enough to hand over that information willing so it will be a while before I can negotiate with them."

"Got it." Juno replied as she made herself scarce.

"Eryl, push the AI at the forefront. I'll finish it right now as well as the nanobots and we will implant them in my head after test runs. Also, keep running tests on the Klyntars in the background in the meanwhile." Peter said as he cracked his knuckles.

"Noted. I'll compile the obtained post-test data and present it to you by tomorrow evening." Eryl replied as Peter smiled. "I'll make the necessary preparations for the injection procedure."

"Cool... I can't wait."

"Would you like to be Revived again?"

Who... What is this?

"Hello, Nathan. I'm Viv, an angel."

This again? I thought it was over the last time. Is it the One Below All once again? That can't be it... My mind is fortified enough now. Then-

"It's okay to be anxious. The fear of the unknown plagues us all. But darkness isn't always dangerous. Sometimes, darkness is your ally. Your closest friend."

"I have been interested in you for a while Nathan. As a human, your life has been quite... Ridiculous. Anyways, your previous life is over and before you leave allow me to grant you a gift."

What the hell are you talking about?! Answer me damnit!

Peter's eyes snapped open as he woke up.

"Peter?!"

Blinking a couple of times he stared at the ceiling before his eyes landed on the worried faces of Susan and Jennifer. Breathing in a couple of times he flashed them a disarming smile that disguised his inner turmoil well.

His smile worked like a charm as both of the ladies visibly relaxed.

"Thank God you are okay." Jennifer sighed in relief as Peter helped himself up. "You gave Susan a real scare you know. Even I was a bit worried when you didn't... I... R-React and... I."

Jennifer stuttered as Peter ripped off the operation gown he was wearing without a warning exposing his bare upper body for both of the ladies to see.

Yawning, Peter stretched his muscles and the ladies were put in a trance as they were visibly fascinated by his muscular frame.

Getting off the table, Peter leaned ahead and have both of the ladies a good morning kiss. Susan accepted it pretty easily but Jennifer was still not used to the affection even though it was her who asked him out.

Jennifer didn't really have a lot of confidence before and suddenly turning into a tall Amazonian woman brought more than just old insecurities ahead. She was already in her late twenties and with each passing day her chances of finding an upstanding guy who would meet her standards were getting less and less.

She wanted to revert back to her old form, to go back to the normalcy she had but spending time with Peter and his family she was forced to question if it was normalcy that she sought. She had a lot of questions and Peter was there with her to answer all of them.

Even though she was a head taller than Peter now, Peter wasn't the one to feel intimidated or insecure by her imposing physical stature. Rather he was around her and did his best to make her feel as feminine as possible, treating her like he treats his partners and friends.

Not only did he make her feel comfortable in her jade skin but he convinced her to keep her powers and work with him, as Peter Parker and as the Abominable Spider-Man. Two months of friendship and before she knew it, she was in love with the younger guy. And with a push from Yuri and May, she decided to confess three days ago.

Peter happily accepted and they decided to make it official after their first date.

"It's a beautiful morning, isn't it Susan?" Peter asked in a sky manner as he lovingly looked at Jennifer. Susan giggled while Jennifer just flashed a bashful smile as she gave him a peck on the lips. "And like always, you two are beautiful today as well."

"Haha, stop it, Peter." Susan giggled as she looked at the embarrassed Jennifer. "If you don't, Jennifer might just melt today."

"Ahaha~ You are right." Peter smiled.

"So, how was the procedure?" Susan asked as Peter concentrated and sure enough, a UI appeared before him showing his vitals and updating him on various stuff.

"It was a success~" Peter nodded. "Nanobots are in my bloodstream and the interface is working smoothly so far without any glitches. The AI will adapt and improvise accordingly once I start using my powers so I don't have to optimize the AI everything I get a new power-up."

"That's great! I was really worried you know?. I called you to ask when you would return but you didn't pick up. Eryl informed me that you had returned so I came down to check on you but found that you were out of it. You should have called you know?" Susan scolded Peter lightly as folded her arms while Peter received a fresh pair of clothes and a towel from a robot.

"My bad, sweetheart." Peter apologized. "It was already late when I returned and I didn't want to disturb you two. Plus, Eryl was watching over the process so there weren't any chances of the procedure going south."

"Hmmm, but why did you take so much time to wake up?"

"I was in deep sleep, darling. It must have been the mental strain. After all, I did get nanobots impacted in my skull as well you know?"

"Hmmm." Susan hummed but she didn't look convinced at all. "Peter?"

"Is everything alright?" Susan asked as she looked at him with a worried gaze which was mirrored by Jennifer. Peter looked at the bathroom door for a moment before turning towards them and flashing them a smile.

"Just a bad dream." Peter replied as Susan stared at him for a second before nodding with a smile.

"Tell me what you dreamed of any time you want to talk about it." Susan said as Peter nodded. "Alright then, go ahead and freshen up. I'll tell May to prepare the table."

"Thanks, babe. I love you."

"Hehe... I love you more."

Peter smiled as he closed the bathroom door behind him. Hanging up the pair of fresh clothes and towel, Peter turned on the shower and stood below it allowing the warm water to wash away the sweat and dirt as well as his worries down the drain.

Clenching his fist, Peter stared down at his reflection as he thought about the dream he had.

"My true name, huh?"

"Good morning, Peter." May greeted Peter with a huge smile and a kiss as Peter approached the table. Peter returned the kiss equally as he wrapped his hands around May's waist.

"Good morning, May. I missed you." Peter mumbled as he buried his face between May's bosom making her giggle.

"Oh honey, it has only been a day."

"Too long..." Peter replied with a grin as he pulled back before turning to the ladies who were already sitting at the table. "Good morning to you as well, my fair ladies."

"Good morning, Pete." Gwen smiled while a dishevelled-looking Yuri just blew a kiss at him

"How was your one day vacay?" MJ asked in a teasing manner to which Peter laughed as he took his seat.

"It was good. I had a lot of fun." Peter smiled as he thanked May for the breakfast. "What about you guys what did you do?"

"Nothing much. May was watching One Punch Man, Yuri slept all day, MJ and I went to uni as usual, while. Susan and Jen went to HQ to retrieve her belongings." Gwen paused for a second to think before nodding to herself. "Yep, that's about it. Oh right! We are getting a new professor!"

"Heh? Mid-semester?" Peter raised an eyebrow as MJ shrugged.

"Professor Higgins got into an accident and broke his leg. So he's gonna be out of commission for a while and because we are at a crucial stage board decided to get someone new as the substitute." MJ answered. "Anyways, how are your grand plans coming along?"

"They are coming along pretty good. On my one-day vacay, something interesting happened and the samples are in the lab below, which by the way I want you to take a look into Susan if it's not a bother."

"Sure." Susan nodded taking a bite of her sandwich. "Did you come up with something ridiculous that I need to be prepared for?"

"Well, besides the new research material I obtained for the nanosuit that I would need your help later on, nope. Nothing much. Also, it's not ridiculous." Peter retorted as the girls giggled before Peter remember something. "Well... There is something and this is kind of ridiculous."

"Even for you?" MJ raised an eyebrow in surprise as Peter nodded. "Well, what is it?"

"Well... I... Hmm."

"Well?"

"Haah... I guess there is no other way to say this." Peter sighed as he looked at the ladies with a serious loom. "Let's build a kingdom."

"..."

"..."

"..."

"Sure." Gwen nodded.

"Sure." The rest of the girls echoed as Peter just stared at them with a blank look on his face.

"What?"

"Hmm? What, What?"

"You all agree? I mean, you all are okay with this?"

"Yeah." There wasn't any hesitation.

"Just like that?"

"Well yeah. I mean it's just a kingdom right?" Susan shrugged as she finished her breakfast. "If it's you Peter then I'm pretty sure that you will be able to pull it off successfully."

"I agree."

"Me too."

"I agree with the girls as well." May smiled as she rest her chin on her palm. "I mean after all I have witnessed, I'm already kind of numb at this point."

"Haha! Same!" Yuri laughed.

"I couldn't agree more." Gwen giggled as Peter just scratched his cheek awkwardly.

"You... You all make it sound like I'm some kind of a monster haha."

"Huh? You are not?"

"..."

"The gamma emission from the SHIELD research facility is increasing day by day, Peter. Are you sure it's not the time to act now?"

"It wouldn't be any good for us to act now. There is a big storm coming in, we can't poke our hands in the eye of the storm needlessly. We will have to fortify over defences and prepare to contain the storm." Peter replied as he drummed his desk lightly waiting for the professor to step in. Scanning across the room he noticed that the asshole Ryan was glaring in his direction who he completely ignored. The desk in front of him was empty as Felicia hadn't shown up yet. Humming to himself he placed his head in his arms before he remembered something. "Hey, Eryl?"

"Yes, Peter?"

"Did you finish the analysis of the hair sample?"

"I did. I was just finishing up the report." Eryl said. "I tried through every public database but I wasn't able to find a match so this took longer than I estimated."

"Huh? Then?"

"Then I took the liberty to break into private and government databases and I found a match." Eryl replied as Peter looked up from his desk hearing a sudden commotion in the room. "I found a match when I looked into-"

"Let me guess... SHIELD'S database." Peter muttered as he looked at the sight before him. 'Beautiful blonde hair, recently dyed. Bright green eyes. Very subtle but visible irregular blinking pattern, contact lenses. A good disguise but no matter what make-up you wear busy only a mask can cover up your unique charm...'

The busty, blonde bombshell that was the centre of the class's attention stared at Peter with a very small smile as Peter stared back at her. Her eyes lit up with recognition as well as a hint of excitement which she tried to hide behind a cold facade but was unsuccessful as her lips twitched upwards a bit. She was quite happy to see him and so was Peter.

Also, I'm thinking of having Peter build his first Kingdom on Savage Land. Any ideas on kingdom building would be appreciated. Also, give me reading material related to the topic if you can.

I'm planning to do an arc around Black Cat, Natasha and Kingpin and Count Nefaria before we proceed to Avengers 1 Arc. What do you think? Give me some ideas here.

Also, can anyone suggest good Isekai pieces cause I can't seem to find any good ones.
