52 Aye, Eye Captain

"That was reckless Peter! I thought I told you to rest." Yuri scolded Spider-Man over the comms as Spider-Man left the press conference and began to swing off.

"I needed to do this-"

"Doesn't matter. Rice was insignificant." Susan butted in. "Your health takes priority. The least you could have done is wait for me to get back so that I could do a check up on you and then clear you."

"Eryl ran scans-"

"She told me Gamma built-up patterns are irregular and hard to calculate. Needs more data." Gwen shut Spider-Man down causing him to grumble.

"Sorry, Peter. I believe you need to rest." Eryl added her two cents. "I suggest you let the hype around you settle. Meanwhile, you concentrate on healing your mental fatigue, find a solution to the Gamma build-up until your body fully adapts to it and concentrate on the projects you have put aside."

"...hah." Spider-Man sighed but nodded in agreement nonetheless. "I guess you are right-"

"There's also the fact that you haven't been spending much time with the ladies, your friends and especially Juno. If you don't do something she might go rogue you know." Eryl teased as Spider-Man subconsciously shivered.

"Thanks, Eryl. Really." Spider-Man said sarcastically. "I guess I'll take a break-"

Spider-Man stopped mid-sentence as his Spider-Sense began buzzing. Time seemed to slow down for Spider-Man as he sensed the incoming danger.

'Two arrows. One Sharp, Steel-tipped aimed at the web line. Other, Adamantium tipped, meant to pierce my head once the web is cut and I began to fall. Spectacular aim, skill and insight. Shot from a good distance. Has a good eye. And I know just the guy who matches the description." Spider-Man smirked to himself as the time resumed its normal flow. "Hawkeye."

Spider-Man pulled on the web line and pushed himself up using the momentum to spin. As the arrow approached the web line, Spider-Man kicked the first arrow away before grabbing the second one.

Spider-Man smirked as he used the spinning momentum and threw the arrow back in the direction it came from using his newfound strength.

Hawkeye was startled as he saw Spider-Man evade the arrow before it could hit him and even redirect one right back at him.

"Shit!" Hawkeye fell back on his feet as he narrowly dodged the Adamantium tipped arrow as it grazed his cheek and lodged itself into the ground behind him. Hawkeye managed to get his breath under control as he managed to dodge certain death. "Phew! That was a close one-"

*Beep!* *Beep!*

Hawkeye's eyes widened as his head snapped towards the arrow where the beeping sound came from. A red sphere was attached to the arrow which glowed red.

"Ah, fuck me-"

*Boom!*

Hawkeye barely managed to brace himself as the explosion threw him off the roof.

"Clint!" Yelled out Black Widow, wearing a black mask to hide her face and a tight suit as she rushed out of the stairway only to watch her partner blown off the roof due to an explosion. "Fuck, fuck, fuck!-"

She rushed towards the edge of the rooftop only to hit the ground as Clint came flying back and crashed into her.

"Don't you know it's rude to disturb a guy when he's talking with his woman?" Spider-Man asked in amusement as he landed on the edge of the rooftop. He rested his cheek on his hand as he watched the two veteran agents groan on the rooftop floor.

"Ugh, I can only see so far, how the heck was I supposed to know you were on a call." Hawkeye groaned out as he tried to get up only to have his hands webbed to the ground causally courtesy of Spider-Man.

Natasha rolled to her feet, Glock in her hand, aimed at Spider-Man's head and yet Spider-Man only waved at her in a carefree manner. Natasha gritted her teeth well aware that bullets do not affect him.

"I'll say this once. Free Barton, turn yourself in and come to with us." Natasha growled not taking her eyes off his form even for a moment. The bite in her tone only made Spider-Man ever more amused. Spider-Man stepped off the ledge and started walking toward Natasha. "Don't move! Or I'll shoot you-"

"I'll do you one better, Agent." Spider-Man walked slowly as Natasha stepped back in caution. Hawkeye struggled as he tried to free himself from the web without any results as Spider-Man kept advancing toward his long-time friend. "Make me."

"Now!"

*Whoosh!*

*Cling!**Cling!**Cling!*

Natasha blinked in shock while Spider-Man didn't even flinch. Bullets fell to the ground as Spider-Man stood in front of Natasha, his tall figure casting a shadow over Natasha as the sun began to set behind him.

"The back of my skull is just as hard as the front." Spider-Man said as he grabbed Natasha's hand making her flinch and guided it to his head. Pressing the muzzle to his head, Spider-Man just smirked. "And by that I mean. You are going to need to do a lot better than just enforced bullets."

*Bang!*

A bullet bounced harmlessly like as Natasha began sweating. She tried to pull her hand back but Spider-Man wouldn't bulge.

"Oh? You fail. You have eight more bullets. Go ahead." Spider-Man encouraged. "Blow my head off."

*Bang!**Bang!**Bang!**Bang!* x2

(A/N: I can't be bothered to write 'bang' that many times.)

Eight more bullets were fired. None could put a scratch on Spider-Man's suit let alone draw a single drop of blood.

"You satisfied honey?" Spider-Man titled his head as he let go of Natasha's hand allowing her to retreat several steps back. "It's been a while since I used a gun. I hope I am not rusty."

Spider-Man chuckled as he unloaded the empty magazine and reloaded the gun. Natasha's eyes widened as she looked at her waist only to find her ammo magazines missing.

"When did you get-" Natasha's words died in her throat as she turned to face Spider-Man only to find the barrel of the gun in her face.

"When I scared you shitless." Spider-Man smiled. Barton struggled against his restraints, cursing under his breath as he realised it was useless. "It's been a while since I brandished a Glock myself. Let's see if I've still got it or am I perhaps a bit rusty."

Spider-Man caressed the trigger as Natasha sucked a cold breath in. Spider-Man relaxed his finger as he turned his hand and pointed back in a certain direction without actually looking where he was aiming.

"Pew." Spider-Man said as he pulled the trigger.

The silenced gun made little noise as the bullet sailed through the cold evening air and then hit a sniper in his shoulder as he screamed in shock and pain.

"Sniper-1 done! Romanoff, you need to retreat-" Natasha could do nothing but stare as Fury yelled into her ears through her comms.

"Pew, pew." Spider-Man said twice again as he shifted his hand a bit and shot twice.

"Sniper-2 and 3 both have been hit! You need to retreat-" Natasha felt her body freeze involuntarily as she felt as if death had wrapped her hands around her throat and was caressing it. Barton couldn't stop shaking in terror as the smell of death was too much for him.

Spider-Man aimed the muzzle back at Natasha and poked her in the neck this time and she was unable to do anything. Fighting was out of the question as she wasn't even able to flinch.

"Is the one-eyed bastard on the line?" Spider-Man asked as Natasha's pupil contracted.

'He knows!'

"Of course I do. I've been cleaning up New York for a while now. I was bound to stumble across it one way or the other." Spider-Man replied. "Now, let's talk to him."

Natasha felt the comm-line buzzing in her ear as Eryl connected Spider-Man to the line.

------

"Agent Romanoff?! Barton?!" Nick Fury gripped the edge of his desk as yelled into the comms, a bit agitated. Maria Hill who stood behind him obediently bit her lip as she tried to calm her nerves. "Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Damn it all! Motherfucker-"

"That's a nice string of cuss words. You and Wade would get along just fine." Nick and Maria froze as they heard an unknown voice through the comms.

"S-Spider-Man?"

"Hola." He heard the voice reply and the both of them could sense the amusement in it. They could almost see the smile with the amount of amusement laced into his tone. Nick gritted his teeth as he tried to run his brain.

"You will pay for what you have done to my agents-"

"Awww, come one. Don't be such a drama queen." Spider-Man rolled his eyes. "They are all alive. Well, three of them are bleeding profusely and will not be so alive if you don't get them medical attention but that's not on me! It's on you! What kind of a shitty boss lets his underlings bleed dry! The other two are fine. One is at my feet and I'm holding the other one at point-blank in fact. You should be grateful, Fury."

"You... You what?" Nick gritted his teeth so hard that

"What? Are you deaf on one side too?" Spider-Man asked in confusion and Fury could do nothing but stare at his desk blankly. "I'm not speaking the past 69 words just because you were too stupid to get it. You must keep records, aye? Run it back later. We have important things to discuss, for now, Nick."

"You... How do you know my name?"

"Buddy, I know a whole lot more than just your name. You might think you are the head of a covert organisation but trust me, you are as covert as a naked baby in my eyes." Spider-Man said with a yawn but was met with silence. "What I mean in simpler terms you doofus is that I know more about you than you, yourself do and no I'm not proving it. It's not my concern you decide not to believe it. Now, let's talk business."

"What do you want?"

"I want you off my back, duh."

"Why?"

"Really?... I mean really?" Spider-Man rolled his eyes. "It's because it's annoying. I already have a lot of people on my shit-list that I have to deal with later on. Don't go increasing my workload. I don't want the massacre of a bunch of goody-two-shoes weighing down on my non-existent conscience."

"What?" Nick gritted out as he saw red.

"Be a good dog and fuck off." Spider-Man said. "Don't make me kill you too. Trust me, it's easy as pressing a virtual button."

"High and mighty. So arrogant and so full of yourself. Listen here Spider-Man... You ain't no goddamn hero! You are a coward hiding behind a fucking mask! Killing humans like pigs and livestock! Listen here and listen close. There are always people like you and they always fall."

"Fury. Listen here and listen close. There is no one like me. I never said I was a goddamn hero. I don't need to wrap my actions in the guise of some well-meant righteousness. I do what I please for my own benefit and it just happens to help a lot of your' livestock' even though you sheep wouldn't admit it. Ross tried to make a scapegoat out of me. I turned him into a meaty paste when he was a goddamn Hulk." Spider-Man growled out.

"..."

"You are just a damn flesh bag. One swipe of my paw, and you would be nothing but a bloody mist." Spider-Man said and Fury felt the weight of every word. "If you don't believe it. Go ahead. Try me, bitch. Bite me."

"...Big words coming from a man hiding behind a mask. You think you can take on all of us-"

"Blah, blah, blah. Big words coming from a one-eyed creep, hiding in a multi-billion dollar flying ship, pulling strings of his agents like a damn puppeteer from the comfort of his seat talking shit straight out of his ass and you have the gall to call me a goddamn coward?" Spider-Man mocked Fury back in a childish voice. "Ugh! Why are you guys all the same and always like this? Fine! I'll show you."

Fury felt a lump in his throat as he waited to hear the gunshot. But it never came.

"Heh? Killing these guys in front of me right now would be too easy." Spider-Man said as Nick smirked to himself.

"Pussy-"

"How about I show you what I can do from the comfort of my throne?" Spider-Man laughed. "How about I show you how I can hurt you and all of your personnels without even needing to be there? How about I show you just how easy it is for me to crush bugs under my feet?"

"What are you-"

"Ready to swim, Fury?" Spider-Man smirked as Nick's eyes widened. "Please, fall and die for me."

"Eryl, dew it."

*Whoomp!*

Before they knew it Nick and Maria were off their feet and against the ceiling as alarms began to blare.

The helicarrier was falling.

"S-Sir! There's someone who has sabotaged our whole navigation system! We can't operate anything!" Fury heard an agent scream frantically from the comms.

"Do something about it dammit!"

"I-I can't! We can't!" The guy screamed back mostly in terror. "N-Nothing is working! Nothing! We are falling fast into the ocean!"

"Goddamn it!" Nick cursed as he tried to get a grip.

"Nick, listen to me. The human world, it's a mess." Spider-Man mocked Fury as he gritted his teeth. "Life under the sea, Is better than anything we have got up here."

"Shut up-"

"The seaweed is always greener, In somebody else's lake. You dream about having a wife, But she could end up in a stranger's bed." Spider-Man sang obnoxiously as he made a parody of a children's song. "Just look at the world around you, pain, anger, corrupts and poor, eternal bliss awaits you below, What more is you lookin' for?"

"Shut up, shut up-"

"Under the sea, under the sea, darling it's better, down where it's wetter." Spider-Man kept singing obnoxiously as he grinned. "Don't~ Take it from me-"

"You made your point goddamn it! Just shut up and stop this madness!"

"Na-ah. No can do. You forgot the magical word." Spider-Man cooed as if talking to a toddler. "Bitch, say please."

"P-Please..."

"Aight!" Spider-Man grinned. "Let them breathe, Eryl."

Nick and Maria crashed onto the floor as the Helicarrier regained its ability to fly as frantic agents were able to put a stop to their mighty descent.

"Good job, Fury! You managed to save the lives of your 'livestock'. To swallow your pride and say please to a mass murderer like me just for the sake of your agents. Ahhhh, such a stand-up guy." Spider-Man cooed mockingly as Nick and Maria helped themselves up. "Anyways, jokes aside. Stay out of my way, Fury. Believe it or not in the grand scheme of things we have similar goals."

"What the fuck did you say-"

"I said we have similar goals you one-eyed partially deaf idiot. You want to protect humanity and I want to protect something I care about and we will do anything to make it happen."

"We are nothing alike."

"Of course, we aren't. The difference between you and me is that I am not a hypocrite who needs to hide his intentions and disguise them as something which it isn't and pretend to be morally good. I am morally grey, perhaps a bit red and a whole lot fucked in the head and I feel that there is no reason for me to hide that. Not anymore."

"..."

"Trust me when I tell you it is in your best interest to heed my advice because I am really hazardous for your health. Trust me, I'm an expert in this field haha." Spider-Man laughed as he removed the muzzle from Natasha's head and crushed the gun in his hand before putting it back in Natasha's hand. "So, better stay clear."

"..."

"Good chat. Fury, Maria. Even though we didn't talk directly." Spider-Man said addressing the latter part to Maria as he turned around and began walking towards the edge of the rooftop. Jumping on the parapet, Spider-Man turned around and gave both terrified agents a mock salute. "Goodnight, Natasha, Barton."

Spider-Man jumped off the roof and Natasha and Barton could do nothing but watch him swing away into the night.

Natasha's legs finally gave in as she fell back on her butt breathing heavily.

"T-That guy is a monster." Barton said as he gave in and decided to just lay on the floor.

"Y-Yeah." Natasha replied shakily. Her body trembled subconsciously as she felt the phantom sensation of the muzzle pressed against her skin. She was so close to a certain death that it felt like she had slept with her. The aura around him. The command in his voice. The power she felt coursing in his body.

It was unbelievable and as much as she hated herself to admit it.

It was really stimulating.

"Fuck."

Yo, I'm back. Out of the hospital and all and that's the reason for the delay.

Sigh.

Anyways. Hope you enjoyed the chapter. Let me know how it was. After this, I'll curb down Peter's murderous tendencies as I've learnt that some people have really weak stomachs and believe that Peter is nothing but a mass murderer and a total psychopath.

Well, it isn't a lie but it isn't exactly true either. I thought that my readers would deduce by themselves but apparently, some of you haven't. So, let me justify my plot-fuck-up.

Peter exaggerated his personality and pulled a page or two out of Deadpool's secret diary. It's called fear-mongering. It's effective against the masses to control them. It works in real life as well and you'll find such examples with a quick search.

The reason is they create fear. Peter wants the world to fear Spider-Man. Be paranoid that he might be lurking right over their head or hiding under their bed. It will make them either reluctantly or frantic with their evil deeds.

Anyways, let me know what you think. I'll tired and hungry so I'll go eat and then sleep.

I'll see you in the next one.
