Night mare

Last night...

Aurora was slowly regaining consciousness as she moaned in pain. She felt her head spin and felt like her body was swaying, her eyes slowly fluttered open, her head pounding with each throb of pain. Confusion enveloped her senses as she tried to make sense of her surroundings. The darkness was suffocating, and the rhythmic swaying motion only added to her disorientation.

She reached out hesitantly, her fingers brushing against a rough, scaly surface. Panic surged through her veins as the memories flooded back – the encounter with the demon, the struggle, and then... darkness.
