"Again, no new skills, it's still showing the other two skills as locked. I don't know at what level they will be unlocked. And all of my stats have increased by one point again." Max was checking on his status, while Bob started getting close to him. Seeing that he was standing there without moving Bob was worried that the beast might have poisoned Max while fighting.

"Are you okay, Max?" Bob asked, Max, closed down the system windows and looked at Bob who was looking worried. "Yeah, yeah. I'm okay. It's just that I think my body had improved after defeating this beast." Max said, and it was the truth but Max hides the fact about his system and stuff. After leveling up his whole physique has been improved and he was feeling energetic again. After confirming that Max was alright, Bob was relieved and both of them continued their hunt for a bit longer.

In the end, Bob killed 14 beasts of the same type, Max also supported him in some fights but it was of not that much help cause Bob didn't need it, he just let Max be a support so he can become familiar with fighting beasts and Max was only able to hunt 4 of the beasts including the first one. Now the sun was going down, so both of them decided to stop their hunt and started heading back to the town.

"I think I can level up again if I absorbed all the crystals that I currently have with me. Maybe on the next level, I'll get a new skill." Max thought, he had enough crystals with him if he tried to absorb all of them, he will level up but the thing was that different tiers of crystals give him a random amount of Exp. and because of that there was a chance he might not level up but will get close to leveling up, that's why Max dropped the idea to use the crystal for Exp maybe he can ask Jack to create something else for him or he can save them for future use.

After leaving that dead area, which was filled with those snake beasts, Max saw someone approaching them but he wasn't able to tell who was that person from that far away. On the other hand, Bob was clearly able to see who the other person was and he started describing the face and body structure of that person to Max, after hearing it from Max realized that he knows that person. But before all of that Max was surprised that Bob was able to see that far, compared to a normal human Bob's physique and eyesight were ten times better.

"I know him, Bob. He is my instructor in a way." Max explained to Bob after he realized that the other person was Lucas who started looking for him after reading the little note that Max left behind in the inn. Finally, after a day's worth of searching Lucas was able to find Max and he was glad that this time he is not hurt like the last time. But Lucas was not able to recognize the other person who was with Max and was trying to smile nicely but with Bob's face no matter what he does, everyone finds his face funny and it was the same for Lucas.

"If you want to go out again like this, you have to take me with you otherwise you are not allowed to go," Lucas said, as max was a bit surprised that Lucas will use something like that to restrict him but still Max knew that he didn't him to get into any unnecessary danger. "Lucas, you don't have to worry about that. Meet my new friend Bob, he is quite strong he can easily kill Rare-tier beasts with a single strike of his spear." Max introduced Bob a bit excitedly and even though Lucas didn't see harmful intent from Bob. He still doesn't want to leave max to this strange guy. "If he is stronger than max then it's dangerous to leave max with him. He can easily hurt or kill Max if he wants to." Lucas thought while maintaining a straight face.

"I'm thankful that you look after max for all this time but I think I can do that thing from now. I'm sorry but I can't trust you right now." Lucas said that and took max with him. Both max and bob were dazed by his behavior. Max was a bit angry too but he let go of that emotion and decided to talk to Lucas when they will get back to the inn. Bob also left the forest but he was a bit sad as his only friend who was willing to go on hunting with him is not going to be with him again.

After some time, max and Lucas both arrived at the inn, heading inside Lucas and Max sat at a table. "Are you going to keep behaving like that Max or if you want to get yourself killed then you can continue this thing," Lucas said, he was disappointed by Max. He knew that max wanted to get strong but being careless is not the right thing to get stronger. After arriving in 'Old Nimerville' No matter what Lucas says Max doesn't listen to him at all, doing the things that he wants to do. If things continued like this it won't be long before he will hear that Max has died somewhere while fighting beasts.

"Then tell me what should I do? Do I have anything else other than killings those damn beasts to get stronger? In this world, I'm going to be on my own, so if won't get stronger on my own then what should I do? And as for you, we both know that you are going to die after you have bonded with that cursed crystal." Max said it out in an angry tone but he didn't lose his calm. As he knew Lucas only wanted the good for him.

"Just take things slowly Max, you still have at least some time to grow and you are not alone in this situation. A lot of people are going to be with you." Lucas was surprised after getting a response like that from max. Usually, max doesn't talk or say anything until he wants to know something but today was something different.

"If you got my point, let me know when you want to go for a hunt again and as for your friend Bob let me ask about him, from someone then I'll decide whether he is trustworthy or not," Lucas said and left for his room to take a rest. Max was left alone at the table and he was thinking about what should he do next, cause he was sure that Lucas is not going to let him go alone, and even if he sneaked out from the inn to hunt alone, it is going to be troublesome later when he will get back. For the time being, max decided to not go for a hunt and take his time practicing swordsmanship or exploring the part of town that he still hasn't visited.

"I should also take a rest and tomorrow, I'll head to the store to exchange some of the crystals for coins." Max decided what he will be doing tomorrow and walked off to his room to sleep.

Inside Lucas room

Lucas was holding the crystal in his left hand and used his right hand to pick up a Beast crystal from the side, taking his right hand closer to the God Crystal, the Crystal glow up and absorbed the Beast crystal from Lucas's hand. "With this rate, I would have to hunt more to gather a lot of Beast Crystal, if I won't keep this thing stabilized it is really going take my life force as a meal to satisfy its hunger." Lucas thought to himself while he was still holding the God Crystal in his hand. Even Lucas doesn't know for sure what's the origin of this God Crystal.
