Chapter- 11 Dimensional Travel

[User can travel short distances by traveling through the cracks in this world but the user has to be careful of the creatures that live in these cracks. The travel distance can be increased by leveling up this skill]

Max was running towards the village when he suddenly stopped because the system was showing him that he had completed the quest. Even though he had no idea how the system was considering the quest finished when he was still escaping from the beast. He was somewhat happy that he had finished the quest and now received a new skill but he didn't read the description of the skill right now.

"Did the guards kill the beast?" Max thought this for a second and instantly discarded this thought from his mind. He had seen what that beast had done to the castle with a single attack. "No, maybe the beast had run away or something. Should I head back to check?" Max thought while thinking that he will be safe now because the system had said that he has survived the beast.

Max decided to go back and check what had happened at the castle, even though Max was still scared of going back there but he was trusting the system for now. Max turned backward and started heading towards the castle, where a massacre had just happened and hundreds of bodies were lying dead there. Just waiting for someone who will bury them, so they can rest in peace.

While on his way Max decided to check the new skill that he had acquired after luckily finishing the quest, which he had no hope of completing it. Max opens the status window that was showing in the left corner of his eye.

Max was reading carefully about the new skill that he had received and the happiness that he had earlier about getting a new skill instantly disappeared after knowing it was not a fighting skill.

"At least it's better than having nothing but how do I use it or do I have to shout the name of the skill to make it work?" Max was confused about how he will use this skill. While he was still thinking about how this skill will work, he got an idea.

He started thinking about the place some distance ahead of him and instantly Max disappeared from where he was standing and appeared at the place where he was thinking about. The whole thing just happened in less than a second.

When Max had disappeared, his body had gotten sucked into the crack that had appeared in front of him and the same crack had opened to the place where Max is standing now. Max looked at the distance that he had covered in a second and was amazed by that. He had roughly covered 3 yards of distance with this skill.

Max tried using Dimensional Travel again but this time he wasn't able to use it and suddenly felt that he was exhausted. He sat down where he was standing and rested there for some minutes until he felt better to continue going forward. Max was already tired from running away from the beast earlier and the remaining stamina that he had was now used up by using the Dimensional Travel.

After resting for more than 12 minutes, Max stands up. "Let's try this thing again," Max said. This time Max was thinking more than 10 yards ahead of him to travel using Dimensional Travel. And again, Max disappeared in the crack that appeared in front of him and appeared 10 yards ahead of where he was standing. this time Max didn't feel as much exhausted as before. Max again used the skill and traveled another 10 yards and this time he felt like half of his stamina has gone this time and he felt a little tired.

Mas concluded that he can only use this skill four times now and if he wants to teleport four-time then he has to limit his range to 10 yards because if he increased the range, it will lessen the number of times, he can use this skill. Max continued going towards the castle while sometimes using Dimensional Travel on the way.

Just like Max Lucas was also heading towards the castle, they were still halfway there and it would take them more than an hour to be back at the castle. All three of them were angry right now because they knew that the beast will be attacking their comrades right now and they weren't able to help them from here.

After traveling for some time Max reached the back of the castle and he looked at the destroyed castle now. The castle that was so strong and beautiful was now destroyed like this. Max could see that most of the area was covered in ice.

He entered the castle and started looking for anyone that might have survived. But no matter where Max looked, he could only find the half-frozen dead bodies everywhere, it was making Max sad that he was not able to help them in this situation and had to run from here to save his life. After looking inside, the castle Max head out to the area where the beast had first shown up.

After finding his way to the field Max was horrified to see the scene in front of him, dead bodies of hundreds of soldiers lying there on the ice. Max was not able to tolerate the smell of dead bodies there and throw up on the side. Max was feeling weak, too weak to even step in the field and look for anyone that might have survived this. But before Max can do anything two screens pop up in Infront of him again.
