I am lazy, so what?

Afterlife. A lot of people have asked about it. What would happen to us after we die. Some religions said that we will be judged. Some said that there is only darkness. Me? I thought that death is like sleeping, but without waking up eternally. Or at least that is what I hoped.

I'm tired of living. I'm tired because I want to be successful, but I only met failure after failure. The only reason I kept trying was that I didn't want to disappoint my family. But I'm truly tired. So when I died, I truly hoped it will be like sleeping without the waking up part.

But here I am. I'm currently inside a white room, sitting in a chair while staring, with tired eyes, at them being in front of me. I guess this will be my judgment huh

"Soooo. I guess I will be going to hell?" I asked the being in front of me. as much as I prefer going to heaven, I know that my sin is bigger than the goodness I had.

"Nay! young man, you are not going to hell. Rejoice and be grateful because I'm going to reincarnate you!!" the being said to me.

"No, I don't want to. Just let me sleep. Besides, why me? I don't think I have anything special about me" I said

"No can do, boy!! Refuse as much as you want, I have decided that you are going to reincarnate to another world. And why you, you ask? sorry to disappoint you boy, but many people got a second chance to reincarnate, and you are barely qualified to get a second chance, so there is no special reason for you to be reincarnated" answered the being.

"huh.. okay. Hufft. so? do I got wishes?" I asked. No need to argue with a being that has power beyond my imagination.

"People that got reincarnated do get wishes. but the number of wishes, and whether they are granted or not are based on the karma they accumulated through their lives. and you, my boy, got enough karma for one small wish. So, what is your wish?" Said the being.

Huh, that's quite surprising. I thought that I have a lot of sin, with how many times that I lied and steal.

"You do have a lot of sin boy, but you also help other people, especially the homeless children and the orphanages you helped. so you got a small wish. Nothing big, like world travel, or overpowered power. Before you ask, yes I can read your mind, and I don't care about your privacy" said the being.

I.. somehow, I want to punch this being. but thinking about what the being said, what should I wish for? Let's ask some questions first.

"So, is it possible for me to get world travel in the future? and what kind of world I would be reincarnated into?" I asked.

"It's possible to got world travel skill. but I won't tell you how. Some world has achieved the ability to travel between the world and realities, but you can also ask me to grant it to you if we ever meet again. But some conditions needed to be met and prices that need to be paid for if you want it from me, and I won't tell you about it. for the world, you can decide about it. Movies, anime, comics, novels and any stories that you know, are real. so you can choose between them. or you also can choose to randomize the world where you are going to be reincarnated. If you choose to randomize, you will be reincarnated to the world you don't know" Answered the being.

Okay. That's interesting. And want to ask the being about the second part of what the being said, Buuuut, I am tired, and as much as I want to ask, it's too troublesome for me.

let's ask for the wish than

"Can I wish for an increase of my talents to the highest possible to possessed by any being?" I asked.

Think about it, I'm tired of my life, and I just want to laze around. But, no matter what world you are in, you need to work so you can earn money. and to get a good job with good payment, you need to show the company that you are a capable person to do the job.

And if I can increase my talent, I can master any kind of skill that is needed for me to have to work at a company easily. I still need to practice the skill, but I don't need to spend a long time mastering whatever skill I will learn in the future. So I look at the being, hopeful that my wish will be granted.

"Nope, you can't. you don't have enough karma for that wish. talent is a veeeeeery very broad term. if I grant that wish, it means that I also increase your talent in things like magic, chi, chakra and so on, and you need big karma for that. Well, I kind of expect the rejection, But.. meh. But about the choices. Which one should choose? Heh, look at that, me thinking? for a lazy person like me thinking about it.

The answers are clear to me. "I chose the first option". whatever the world I'm going to, it's a safe choice.
