After studying seriously for several hours, Jaxon found that it really worked.
His intelligence was indeed improving, but it was a bit slow.
"One or two months is acceptable."
"It's time to go find Christine."
Jaxon took a shower, changed his clothes, and drove off in his luxury car.
After some investigation, Jaxon discovered that Doctor Strange was in this city. Perhaps it was because this was the "center of the universe," and these individuals were all nearby. Doctor Strange also worked here.
Jaxon drove to the hospital. It was busy, but he easily found the surgical department and located Christine.
Unfortunately, Christine was undergoing surgery.
Jaxon waited outside the operating room. Christine was still an intern and only an assistant in the operating room, not the actual surgeon.
He was very patient, reading a book while he waited.
Once the surgery was over, Christine took a moment to rest.
"Hello, Dr. Christine."
Christine was a little surprised because she didn't know Jaxon at all.
"Hello, who are you?"
"My name is Jaxon. I'm just a passerby. I met you by chance and wanted to get to know you and invite you to dinner."
Christine realized that Jaxon was interested in her. However, his sudden appearance made her a bit nervous, especially since Jaxon was very handsome. Although their aesthetics differed somewhat, Christine thought his appearance and figure were definitely attractive.
On the side, Christine's colleague began to tease her.
"Oh, Christine, what a lucky day for you!"
"Even though he is not an american, he still fits the aesthetic."
"Christine, if you don't agree, just let me know, and I'll take him off your hands."
Christine felt a bit excited, "Of course."
"However, I may still have some work to take care of, so you'll need to wait for me a little while."
"Of course, you're a doctor, and treating patients is the most important thing."
Christine was overjoyed. She never thought she would have such an opportunity.
Finally, the time came for her to get off work.
"Hi, have you been waiting long?"
Jaxon smiled and replied, "No, I found something to occupy my time."
He showed her the book in his hand.
"Do you have a particular restaurant you'd like to go to? If not, how about we go to Madison's?"
"Wouldn't that be too expensive?"
"If you have any suggestions, I can cancel the reservation."
Just as Christine was about to respond, a discordant voice broke in.
"Christine, let's go eat together!"
There was a hint of dominance in his tone, revealing his arrogance and leaving no room for rebuttal.
Jaxon looked around and saw Strange.
He appeared to be a modest gentleman, but his inner pride was undeniable.
Strange approached Christine directly, clearly disregarding Jaxon.
Strange's unexpected appearance prepared to take Christine away.
Jaxon was naturally not someone who would stand by idly; he had to stop Strange.
Christine's expression was also displeased.
Strange was her classmate and colleague, so she knew his character well.
He was very smart and a genius, which made him somewhat conceited and self-important.
Christine admired and worshipped Strange because his abilities were difficult for her to achieve. However, she couldn't say that she liked him now.
While they may have spent some time together, it probably wouldn't last long.
"Hello, Dr. Strange."
Strange turned around and gave Jaxon a full look.
"I'm sorry, are you here for medical treatment as well?"
Jaxon sighed inwardly; this guy was even more annoying than Tony.
"No, I'm here to treat Christine to dinner."
"She has an appointment today; you can go back."
Jaxon was not about to let Strange take Christine away like that.
"Dr. Strange, aren't you overstepping?"
"I invited Ms. Christine to dinner. What does that have to do with you?"
"Her decision was to agree to it. That was her choice."
"You should respect her decision instead of deciding for her."
"You're not Christine's boyfriend."
Christine felt inspired by Jaxon's words and decided to assert herself.
"He's right, Strange."
"We're friends, but that doesn't mean you can make decisions for me."
"I've already promised him."
Westerners place great importance on their right to make decisions, so Strange's behavior of making decisions for others was a significant fault. Only Christine understood Strange; otherwise, she might have lost her temper on the spot.
Christine was firm, "I'm sorry; I had no idea this was going to happen."
"It's okay. Good things are never too late. It doesn't matter if you delay for a little while."
"Let's go."
"Good."
Christine said goodbye to Strange and then left with Jaxon.
The two got into the car, and Christine could tell that Jaxon was quite wealthy.
"What should I call you?"
"Jaxon. If you want to be more formal, you can call me Mr. Jaxon, but we are not used to using the title of 'Mr.' You can just call me Jax; it's simple and convenient."
"Jax."
"Strange is just a little socially awkward."
Jaxon took the initiative to help Christine out of the predicament.
"I know that geniuses often have some character flaws."
"Tony Stark, for example, is a narcissist."
"Let's forget about it. Tonight is our night, and I don't want to spoil the atmosphere with other matters."
Christine breathed a sigh of relief. Thankfully, Jaxon didn't care about the situation with Strange.
"That's true."
Strange, watching from behind, suddenly felt jealous.
At that moment, Strange liked Christine.
In the film, the two gradually parted ways because Strange went to learn magic, and because of Thanos's snap, they were separated for five years.
In truth, their personalities were destined not to be compatible.
Still, Strange was unwilling to give up. After thinking for a moment, he walked toward his luxury car.
Jaxon and Christine arrived at the restaurant. Under Jaxon's guidance, they entered the establishment.
They approached the front desk to ask for their reservation.
The receptionist, intimidated by Jaxon's presence, didn't dare to look down on him.
"Hello, do you have an appointment?"
"Yes."
Jaxon provided the appointment information, and it was quickly confirmed.
"This way, please!"
As they were about to leave, they noticed Strange approaching the front desk.
Strange, wearing a suit and exuding confidence with his long legs, looked very self-assured.
Christine understood immediately that Strange was following her.
She felt a flicker of anger at his behavior.
"Strange, are you following us? You can't do this."
"No, I just happened to come over for dinner. I won't disturb you at all."
Despite his words, Christine didn't believe him.
She was feeling conflicted and no longer had any interest in dating.
As soon as she sat down, she started to withdraw.
"Jax, I think maybe tonight isn't the right time."
"I'm sorry this happened. How about we try another time?"
Another day? There was no need for so much trouble.
Now that Strange had caught up, it was a good opportunity to change the subject.
This way, Strange's interest could also be redirected.
"I don't think it's necessary to complicate things."
"He followed me; maybe it's because he likes you."
