It's 8 a.m. on a Friday. I saw Cherry downstairs with Mom and Bett. They're talking something about the engagement.
"Cherry?" I asked with questioning eyes as soon I reach them.
"Georg! good morning." She greeted me with enthusiasm.
I greeted them.
"Come here, Sweetie. We're talking about the engagement party. Cherry is here to discuss the gown you're going to wear." Mom said.
"Isn't it too early for that?" I said.
"Honey, this is late notice," Cherry answered.
"Well, I just want a small party, so just make the gown simple."
Cherry gasp.
"Georg! That's atrocious!" She said like I said something bad.
"Georg, we want the world to know that you are getting engaged. It must be big." Bett said.
"Just post it to social media and the world will know."
They look at me in disbelief.
"I just want it to be simple. Just family and friends." I added.
"We will think about it, sweetie. How about you check first the gowns designed by Cherry." Mom said.
"Sure."
We were discussing the engagement and the gowns when I receive a call. Unknown number.
"Sweetie, it must be Camela. She asked for your number yesterday." Mom said.
I answered the call.
"Hello, Georgina. It's me Camela." She said.
"Hello, Mrs. Camela. How are you?"
"I'm fine, thank you. Well, I called to ask you to have dinner with us later in our home if you're available." Mrs. Camela asks gleefully.
"I'm free tonight. I'd love to." I answered.
"Great! Dinner is at 7 but you might want a tour of the house before dinner. You can come by at 6." Mrs. Camela said.
She sound excited.
I agreed and we said our goodbyes. I kinda feel nervous now. I'm going to Gin's house.
Later in the day, I prepare myself for the dinner meeting with the Louxem family.
I wore a floral green dress with white heels. I wore a little jewelry of moon bracelets and earrings.
Simon drive me to Louxem's residence. When we arrive, I saw a big 3 story house with a beautiful garden. There's also a fountain with lights in front of the house. The inside of the house is more elegant with its big curtains and expensive paintings on the wall and figurines.
"Mrs. Camela, your house is beautiful," I commented.
"Thank you, Hija. Do you want to look around? I can show you Gin's room upstairs. He's still at work now but he will be here soon."
Gin's room? Is it okay to go there?
We went upstairs. Mrs. Camela show me around the house before we stopped by Gin's room.
The housemaid arrive before we could enter his room. The maid is asking her about the dinner.
"Georgina, you may stay in Gin's room for a while. I'll have to go to the kitchen first."
I nodded. They left and I entered Gin's room. It's big. The place looks clinical in white and black color. The furniture is hardwood. Then I saw his bed in the center of the room. It's a king-size bed with a white and gray bed sheet.
"So this is his room," I uttered.
I sit in the corner and run my palm on the sheet. It felt soft. I stood up and look around. No pictures except a small picture frame on the bedside table. It's face down. I pick it up and put it up. It's a picture of a sweet couple. Gin and some other girl that must be Mina. They're sitting on a bench, very close to each other. They are looking at the camera smiling. They look so happy.
I felt a pang in the chest that I don't understand.
Mina is getting married and Gin is in pain. I wish I could help him forget her or ease his pain.
I heard a knock on the door.
"Georgina, it's time for dinner." I heard Mrs. Camela utter behind the door.
I went with her downstairs to the dining room.
"Gin's will be late. He needs to finish some things at work. Let's do it first." Mrs. Camela uttered.
Mr. Enrique also arrived in the dining room and his sister Elaine. She's a humorous lady.
"I'm excited that my nephew is finally getting married. You see Georg, we are a small family. We wish to have grandchildren at home though I look very young to be a grandmother." She laughed.
Grandchildren? I laughed with her, nervous inside. Isn't it too early for that?
Elaine seems to be in her 30s. She still looks young and fit. She didn't get married and she live in this house with the family to stay close.
I was about to stand up to go to the bathroom when the housemaid accidentally poured wine on my dress when she was about to put it on my glass. Mrs. Camela scold her.
"It's okay Mrs. Camela," I said trying to wipe the stain with tissue.
"Let me help you, sweetie. Let's go upstairs. Wash in Gin's room while I look for spare clothes in my room for you." Elaine said.
"Thank you, Elaine."
We went upstairs. Elaine went to her room and brought a dress with her I could change.
"You wash up first. We'll wait downstairs." Elaine said.
I went inside Gin's bathroom and strip my dress. The red wine partly stained my bra. I took a tissue and tried to wipe it off. My skin felt sticky because of the wine so I just decided to wash it off. I strip all my clothes and went in the shower.
The water felt good on my skin.
"What the F*ck!" I heard someone cuss.
I turn around and saw Gin at the bathroom door, looking at my naked body. The surprise on his face.
I screamed.
"S-sorry." He stated as he closes back the door.
I immediately took the towel and wipe my body. I wore back my undies and the dress Elaine lent me.
When I went out, Gin was standing beside his bed. He turns to me.
"You know you could have knocked!" I said in an angry voice.
He chuckled in amusement.
"That's my bathroom in my room in our house. Why you're here?" He asked.
Mrs. Camela didn't tell him?
"Mrs. Camela invited me for dinner," I answered.
I heard a knock on the door.
Gin open it. Mrs. Camela is outside.
"Gin, honey, you're home?" She uttered when she saw him.
"Yes, and you didn't tell me she's here." He said in an accusatory tone.
"I thought you knew. You should call your fiance more."
Crap. We don't have the phone numbers for each other. She assumed we were talking.
"Georg, honey I called Aurelia to let you sleep here." Mrs. Camela said to me.
My mouth hung open.
"Mrs. Camela. I think I'll just go home." I said
I can't sleep here! Besides, Gin just saw me naked. It's embarrassing. I want to go home and have another amnesia.
"Georgina, you should get used to our house. This will be your home too. And I'll have your dress to get laundry first. Where's it?"
How much I try to convince Mrs. Camela to let me go home, I can't. She's very insistent. And she wants me to sleep in Gin's room. She reasoned that the guest's rooms aren't clean and full of dust. And we're about to get married so what's the big deal. It's a big deal for me.
I'm sitting on the bottom of the bed when Gin went out of the bathroom. He is already dressed in his pajamas. A towel around his neck. His hair is still wet and unruly. He is brushing it with the towel.
I look around to avoid him and saw the bedside table. The picture frame is no longer there. He must have taken it earlier when I went out to borrow pajamas with Elaine.
Gin moves towards the bed. He sits to the other side, resting his back on the headboard.
"Come on." He said.
I crawl to the other side of the bed making sure, we have a big space between us.
"Georgina, you're going to fall there. Come closer." He said. His voice is commanding.
"I'll be fine," I answered.
He smirks. He looks at me with lustful eyes. What a pervert!
"You're turning me on." He uttered.
His eyes are full of dirty thoughts.
He grabbed my arm and pull me closer to him. His other arm, wrap around my body. Our faces are inches away. Our eyes lock at each other's sight. My heart is pounding. My chest is against his. I don't know if he can feel the panic inside.
"G-Gin," I said in a nervous voice.
"I know you wanted this Georg." He said. And I feel like I'm being hypnotized by his eyes and voice.
