Suizi escorted Chen Lijun out and they sat down on the chairs in the hallway. She took out a newspaper from her bag and handed it to Chen Lijun.
Mother and daughter shielded their faces with the newspaper and whispered to each other.
"What are you stirring up now?" Chen Lijun asked.
"Just sit and watch. Jiaojiao said it's more entertaining than the melodramatic TV series you watch at night. She'll clean your house for a year."
At this, Chen Lijun perked up and immediately straightened up, her eyes darting back and forth across the edge of the newspaper.
They had appointments with specialists, and two rooms away was the general gynecology clinic.
A bit further was the hospital lobby, bustling with people coming and going.
Chen Lijun nudged Suizi.
"Look at that person next to the sign in the lobby; doesn't he look bizarre?"
It was a young man in his twenties, clutching a camera, lurking and looking around sneakily.
