Inside the car
While driving, "Aren't you gonna say something?" Liam inquired before glaring at her.
Keeping her gaze at the front whiskey, Mabel crossed her arms, "No."
"No? Why?"
"Because I have nothing to talk about." She answered blandly.
"Okay. I promised to always come back to check on you and our son, so why did you ran away for the second time?" Countless times when Liam went to her old place to visit her and his son, he was told that they no longer lived there.
It took him weeks and days to find her everywhere in the city but still nothing. Today, he decide to take a long drive and found her and his son.
Looking at him, she defended, "I didn't run away, Liam. I only moved out of my former place because I wanted a quiet and peaceful vicinity for my baby."
"Mabel, Bernard is my son too. I'll like it if you put it as 'Our' Son."
"How did you know his name? I can remember I never mention it to you." She frowned.
"The neighbors at your former place." Stomping on the brake when the traffic light dimmed 'Red.' He unbuckled his seatbelt and leaned closer to her. "Mabel, I want us to start allover again. We have a son now, let's reunite and give him the best life every child could wish for."
When she rolled her eyes and turn her head towards the window, he tilted her chin. Before she could utter a single word, he had already pressed his lips on hers.
The least she could do at that very moment was to give in. Moaning and caressing his hair as his wet tongue roamed around hers.
He slowly pulled away when they became breathless.
Breathing heavily, she reached for his neck before pressing her lips on his. When little Bernard sneezed, they pulled away and composed themselves.
Reaching for him, Liam took him and kissed his cheeks.
"Let me carry him. He might be a little distractive for you while driving." Mabel extended her hands.
Buckling his seatbelt, "It's alright, I'll hold him with me." Holding little Bernard with one arm, he added, "He must have stressed you all these while, so relax a bit." He winked at her and when she blushed, he smiled and moved the car.

Mabel's new place
Shutting the door after they walked in. Mabel placed the stroller on one side before taking off her coat.
"Your new place is better than the former." Liam complimented before looking at her.
"Thanks. This was the exact type I've been searching for." Turning on the heater, she sat on the couch and started pulling off her shoes. "My old place was a bit noisy and loud with all those disturbing neighborhood."
Pecking the baby's nose, Liam glance at his watch, "I have to go now." Placing little Bernard on the sofa but he clutch on his t-shirt's collar.
Letting out a chuckle, "Whoa, seems like Bernard doesn't want you to–ahhh!" Mabel squealed in shock and ran into Liam's embrace when the heavy sound of thunder greeted the dark clouds.
Looking towards the window, Liam sighed, "It's even raining so soon." He looked down and found two more persons who doesn't want him to go as well. His little son was clutching on his t-shirt while Mabel was clinging on him.
"Mabel, I gat to go now. Eat something and feed Bernard, I'll visit you two tomorrow, okay?" He doesn't want to leave them too. How safe will they be when he's not here to protect them? Okay fine, he's aware they've been living happily without him all these while but it's still not appropriate.
Pulling away, she pouted her lips, "Why do you want to leave when it's raining? Did I say something wrong that might be frightening you away?"
"No, is just that-"
Placing her head on his chest, she insisted, "Please stay with us. Spend the night here, Bernard and I are so lonely and cold."
Slowly arcing his hand on her, he patted her head and took a deep breath. "Since you insisted I stay, I'll stay."
"You will?" She asked hopefully.
He answered with a nod and smile. This was what he wanted to hear her say and now she just said so.
Hugging him tight, she sighed, "Ah gosh, you have no idea how scary I've been all these while."
Scooping her chin upwards, he peck her lips, "I'm so sorry for been a bad boyfriend towards you, but right now am ready to become a good fiancé or should I call it 'Soon-to-be husband'?"
Mabel widen her eyes and mouth in shock. Is he kidding right now? Fiancé? Husband?
"I know how confused you are right now but you'll understand if you give me another chance to love you and make you mine forever." Pausing for a while, he kept Bernard on the couch and went on one knee. Taking her left hand, he asked, "Mabel, will you marry me?"
