Broken ankle

Closing his eyes, he took a deep breath, 'Gosh Sebastian you are such a big moron. Why didn't I listen to what she has to say? This is not good at all. He messed up big time now she's going to feel bad and guilty for helping a man who doesn't deserve it.'

"Oh look at this," Picking up the book from the table, Nelly beamed, "Give your heart a break by Jin-joo Kim?" Looking at Petra with a confused stare, "Mom, is Empress Jee also a writer?"

"Yes she is." Taking the book from her, she gasped, "Ah, this was the same exact book I saw on social media," Flipping over the pages, "I wanted to read it but it states that it wasn't on audiobooks."

Without waiting for their replies, she started shoving it into her bag, "I'm gonna read it when I get home. I heard its super interesting. Read once, read trice." She beamed.

"Huh," Sebastian tried to sit upright, "No mom, you can't take that book from me, I want to also read it."

Scrunching her brows, Nelly inquired, "When did you started reading romantic books?"

"Is it romantic?"

"Yes Calvin, it is." Looking at Sebastian, she scoffed, "And he doesn't read romantic books other than business booklets and magazines."

"Are you insane? She gave the book to me herself."

"Who?"

"Jin of course."

Raising his brows, Ryan crossed his arms, "Did she? Wow, strange. Your most dislike books ever are romantic novels so why did you accepted it from her?"

"Even she is aromatic but she writes romantic." Petra chuckled.

Keeping quiet for a long time, Sebastian whined, "Mom please stop, I need to see what's in it."

"And I refuse to give it back." Caressing his face, she smiled, "If you truly need one, then go get it from the bookstores."

Outside the hospital

Missing a step, Jin-joo helplessly fell on the ground and broke her left ankle when she was busy running down the stairs after the taunts Sebastian gave to her.

Biting her lower lip, she held her ankle and winced in deep pains. "Ahh, somebody help me please."

Rushing towards her, "Ma'am, ma'am, are you alright?" Two security men helped her up.

Trying to regain her balance, she cried, "My ankle, it hurt, I think its broken."

"Hey nurses, quickly, get the wheelchair."

Gesturing her to take a deep breath, the security man sighed, "Ma'am, breath, breath, okay? Take a deep breath."

"I can't, my ankle hurts badly."

Guiding her to sit on the wheelchair, the security man assured, "Don't worry ma'am, you're gonna be alright." Looking at the nurse, "Take her to the orthopedist."

The nurse nodded her head and strolled the wheelchair to the orthopedic session, while Jin-joo never stopped wailing her lungs out.

A month later

Ryan's parents' place

"How is Sebastian doing?" When Petra nodded, Laura inquired, "And his wound? Is it finally healed?"

Helplessly shaking her head, she sighed, "For a month now, he's still moving with bandage wrapped around his ribs."

"Very soon he's gonna gain full recovery, okay?" Patting her shoulder, Laura sighed, "You don't have to blame yourself over anything."

"Laura, Sebastian caused this injury to himself. He didn't listen to me when I asked him to retrieve."

"You won't believe if I tell you that Ryan is same as Sebastian." Letting out a chuckle, she added, "So brave and peremptory."

Taking a sip from her glass of wine, Petra remarked, "Not bad after all the Flynn family blood is flowing in them."

Placing her hands on her waist, Laura smiled, "I support that comment." Taking two sips from her glass of wine, "How is the hideout going?"
