12 The Higher Ups

CHAPTER 12: THE HIGHER UPS

I, just now, had an encounter with higher grades. Here they are, in front of me. I have decided to skip classes and sleep all day but these guys stopped me when I was about to be successful.

"What is a kid doing here?" As man with red hair asked.

"Isn't she cute?" a girl with blonde hair with white horns said. Is she a goat? She is too beautiful for a goat, though.

"We have to tell the teachers we found a kid here." The guy with grey hair and gold eyes was staring at me like he did not believe I'm a kid.

"You don't need to do that, I can go on my own," I responded. I was about to go when gray hair grabbed my shoulder.

"You're a first year, what are you doing outside your class?" he asked. Crap! How did he know?

"My, did you escape your class?" pretty goat girl asked.

"Sort of?"

"Hahaha! This kid is skilled, no one has ever escaped Miss Diana's class before." Red hair patted my shoulder as if I've done a good job.

"Why did you escape your class?" gray hair asked.

"I am so sleepy," I shortly answered. Red hair and goat girl laughed but gray hair was not pleased.

"Ok, so now return to your class," gray commanded. Like hell! It was so boring I could not stand it.

I ran away and while doing that, I activated [LUST LV1 <camouflage >] and leaned close to a carved wall.

"What was that and where is she?" Goat roamed her eyes around.

"Let's let her be, it is about time to go back to the training ground," gray hair announced. Good.

"Yeah, let's go," red hair agreed with him.

With that, I was able to go to my dorm without any interference. I slept all day that I even skipped lunch.

I woke up around noon when Sarah's voice almost broke my eardrums.

"What were you doing?! Why did you skip classes?!" Her frustration was visible and her ears were red.

I just ignored her and bathed. Her anger rose up even more when I asked her to dry my hair like nothing happened. She still did it, though.

We went to have a dinner. Hawk was so mad at me that he ignored my presence. This couldn't be!

I talked to him, I did everything for him to notice me, I even tried to start a conversation but he just replied coldly or completely ignored my efforts. I got irritated but I still wanted to pursue him.

The classmates around us just watched us, surprised that I can make efforts like that. Faye and Sarah were envious because I didn't really care when they get mad at me.

"Hawk..." I called hawk and tried to meet his eyes. His eyes widened and his cheeks flushed.

"What did you call me?" he asked.

"Hawk," I answered. His cheeks flushed more.

"This is the first time you called me, it wasn't even my real name." Uh... What was his real name again? It's not important. 

"So, you gave me attention now. Let's eat," I said, smiling, and put the carrots on his plate.

"You should eat these vegetables, they don't taste bad." He put back the carrots on my plate. I don't like these at all.

"I don't like these, they taste like soil," I complained.

"I'll ignore you again if you don't eat that." What am I? A child? Anyways, I ate them.

"They taste bad T^T." Hawk laughed at me.

After our dinner, we all went out together. We encountered the higher ups that I met earlier, they were smiling at me dangerously. Crap!

"Andromeda, why are the class 2-A's top three smiling at you?" Faye asked, whispering. I did not answer because I was too lazy to explain.

"Hello, little girl," goat girl greeted with a scary smile.

"What do you need from her?" Hawk asked.

The red hair answered, "Nothing, we're just here to greet her."

"Come on, guys, leave her alone. Let's go," gray hair said seriously.

"Hah? Let's be friends with the class 1s, aren't they gonna fight us for exams?" goat girl answered.

"Hey! Don't just reveal their exam type like that!" red hair scolded the goat girl.

"We're going to fight you for our exam?" Faye asked.

"That's enough, let's go," gray held goat girl's arm.

"Hahaha! By the way, I am Carina, this is Ash, and this is Konan." Ash is the gray hair and Konan is the red hair. Carina was dragged by Ash. Konan followed them.

"See you around!" Konan waved his hands while walking.

"What did you do, Andromeda?" Sarah asked me.

"You bumped into them when you skipped classes?" Hawk analyzed the situation. I nodded. He was shocked to amazement but he did not say anything else.

"If we are going to fight them on exams, I will train hard!" Faye smiled and clenched her fist.

We went back to our dorm, brushed our teeth, and slept.

The next day, I felt motivated to go because our teacher, Diana, told us that the class today is physical class. Thanks to that, I don't have to listen to her lullabies.

Sarah braided my hair so that they won't be a hassle. Now that I think about it, my physical status is extremely low, they haven't even reached a hundred.

We went to the training grounds, and to my surprise, the three, Goat, Gray, and Red hair were there.

"These are the volunteers from class 2-A, they will be helping you improve your physical status." Teacher introduced them to us and then left. They have a meeting for today, and teacher is one of the commander of the army.

We were divided into three groups, seven members each and the 2-As chose a group they'll train.

The three were strict and cruel. Ash was the one who assisted me and he is too cruel! I feel like he's breaking my bones, torturing me, and making me do things that are unnecessary, but it's part of the training. Or not! Maybe he's mad at me!

After the "warm up" torture, he told us to run seventy times around the field. I can't believe this! The field is very wide! The punishment is that those who fail will receive a super scary stretching exercise from him. I don't want that! I'm gonna run.

I ran and ran until I get extremely exhausted but I still ran. Some of my classmates were not even bothered by the distance, they have higher stamina.

I tried my best to finish the challenge, even though I had to use [GREED LV1 < Copycat> ]. I know it's illegal but I need stamina to continue.

When I finished I immediately drank water. Some of my classmates did not reach the ending before collapsing. This is torture! When I looked at my other classmates, they were being tortured, too. Carina was sitting on their back while they do some push ups, Konan was holding a bat and hitting anyone who failed his balance test.

While waiting for everyone in our group to finish, we rested. I took that time to sleep because that's the way to replenish my strength.

The others who failed really got their punishment, I couldn't even listen to the screams and complains so I slept in our dorm room. I know I shouldn't lie down on my bed while sweaty but I did not care, I was tired, okay?

I guess the activity was helpful because I can see that my status improved, I just need to sleep.
