"Why did you start calling Raymond your daddy?" Alexa asked and Rachael's eyes darted to the side.
"Oh, uh… look at the time. I need to get dressed before I make us go late. Let's go, Margo." She said while leading Margo, the maid, away.
Alexa watched them leave. What had become of her daughter?
"I don't mind what she calls me." Raymond said, "Afterall, I already treat her like my daughter. It wouldn't be too much for her to treat me like her father either, would it?"
"But…"
"And also," he interrupted her. "Don't you think we fit the father daughter combo very much?" He asked and walked away without hearing her response.
"Did he just… smile?" She wondered if the expression she saw was a smile. She shook her head. There was nothing funny so why would he smile?
Running ahead were two happy children who were coming to the beach for the first time in their lives.
"Careful you two." Alexa yelled as she stared a bit worriedly.
