Chapter 49: Talking with Family (Part 4)
"These are my loyal daughters who support me at every step," I said, gesturing towards the three systems.
My mom only nodded, saying nothing.
Noticing her silence, I asked, "Mom, is something bothering you? Please, tell me."
She looked at me thoughtfully. "It's not that something is bothering me. I was just wondering… are your subordinates truly loyal to you? In the future, when you venture to other worlds as a martial artist, I'd hate to see them betray you."
I smiled reassuringly. "Mom, you don't have to worry. They are completely loyal to me. Let me show you."
I pressed a button near my chair. In seconds, all my generals came rushing in and took their seats around the table. I had taken Itachi's seat, so he stood respectfully behind me.
I held out my hand and summoned glasses of blood wine. "Everyone, please, take this special drink and down it in one go."
Without hesitation, they all drank the blood wine and set their glasses down, standing at attention.
"Anything else, Master?" they asked in unison.
I looked at them, curious. "Aren't any of you concerned about what you just drank? It could have been poison or something else, couldn't it?"
Tanya stepped forward and spoke, "Master, we're all trained soldiers who have seen bloody battlefields and faced countless dangers. We've all had our own battles in our respective worlds. We know the rule: never betray a leader who gives everything to his subordinates. In return, all he asks is our loyalty and trust to walk alongside him."
The others nodded, affirming Tanya's words, then turned to look at me.
I turned to my mom. "See, Mom? I only work with people I can trust, no matter their status or position. My belief is simple: true power comes from loyalty and respect, and that's the only rule I live by."
My mom nodded, smiling at me and my generals.
I stood up, saying, "Let's go, Mom. It's time."
I opened a portal but turned back to my subordinates before leaving. "Everyone, work on improving yourselves. I'll see you later, so be ready in three minutes. Also, make sure to take breaks—you all need to stay healthy."
With that, my mom and I stepped through the portal and arrived in her study.
Once there, I said, "Mom, I know this might sound strange, but I want you, Dad, my sister, and all our family's subordinates to come live in my inner world. Inside, you'll all become immortal. I don't want to leave everything behind in the future, especially knowing I have the power to keep everyone safe and together."
She looked at me thoughtfully. "Don't worry. I'll think about it and give you a good answer. But now, let's go—we have to surprise your dad and sister when they come home from work."
I grinned, following her to the kitchen, where we prepared dinner together. We enjoyed every moment of cooking side by side, sharing laughs and stories.
