A man with a pale complexion and short black hair could be seen walking in the dark alley.
*Drrt!* *Drrt!*
''Hmm?'' The man stopped walking before reaching for the phone in his pocket.
''Hello, Do you need something?'' The man accepted the call, but even after waiting for 3 minutes, he didn't hear any reply from the other side.
''Hmm, Is this a prank call?'' He thought with a frown as he looked at the unknown number on his phone screen.
''Haah.. Whatever.'' He muttered with a sigh before continuing walking out from the black alley, only to be greeted by a sudden blinding light.

A bus suddenly appeared out of nowhere and hit the man, He rolled on the ground before crashing to a trash bin. The man coughs a lot of blood and when he forces himself to look at the bus, he sees an unknown man walk out from the bus and the unknown man looks at him with a smile before walking towards him.
''Y-You...'' He hoarsely said while staring at the unknown man who was now in front of him.
''Steven Goldsmith, right?'' The unknown man said. The man who was lying on his own blood was shocked when he heard the man saying his name.
''As expected, you're still alive even though you got hit by a bus!'' The unknown man said while laughing.
''Wh-who are you!?'' Steven Goldsmith shouted while coughing a mouthful of blood.
''Me?'' The unknown man innocently pointed his finger to his own face.
''Hmmm...Should I tell you? Nah, Maybe not.'' The unknown man replied before taking a handgun from his clothes and pointed it towards the dying man.
''Just die.'' The unknown man said before pulling the trigger.

''Phew...'' The man sighed before looking at the dead man's body. After that, he reached his hand on his pocket before taking out a phone and dialed a number.

''Hello, sir? The target has been successfully killed." The man said to someone who answered his call.
''Good job.'' A calm voice of a man sounded on the other side of the phone.
''Hmph! With this, I don't have to worry too much about hunter association.'' The mysterious man on the other side thought with a wide smile hanging on his face.
''By the way, what should i do to this body, sir?'' The unknown man who killed the dead man asked.
''Just burn it.'' The caller said before ending the call.
''Copy that.'' The unknown man responded with a nod as a burning red flame appeared on his hand before pointing his hand to the body of the man.
''incinerate!'' He muttered and the body of the dead man went up in flames before turning into a pile of ashes.
''Well, my work is done...'' He said while Looking at the pile of ash, ''You shouldn't have offended the Scavenger Guild.'' He added while walking toward the bus and drove away from the place.

''Hmmm,... Where am I?'' Steven said when he opened his eyes and saw that he was in an unfamiliar room.
[Ding! You have awakened the great summoning system! Do you want to bind it with your soul?] A mechanical voice sounded inside Steven's head.
''Huh? Wait, What?!' Who is there!?" Steven shouted when he heard an echoing robotic voice in his head.

A grey light ball appeared in front of his face that showed him a virtual blue screen.
''What the hell is this?!'' Steven shouted with a frown.

Steven then carefully looked at the hologram in front of him and he is a little suspicious of this 'system', but after thinking about it for a few seconds, Steven hesitantly answered, ''Yes, bind it.''
The grey light ball suddenly entered Steven's chest and made his body shine brightly.

''Hahhh… I'm really dead, huh...'' Steven said before closing his eyes while remembering about himself.
''Scavenger guild!'' Steven suddenly muttered coldly.
''I only offend them once in the dungeon, and they killed me...'' Steven still remembered his last dungeon hunt, where he was a c-rank hunter and was doing a decent job with a moderate income.
He doesn't have a family because all of his relatives were dead because of a dungeon break and unfortunately, he must become a hunter to feed himself.
''Johnathan!'' Steven coldly muttered as he remembered a man from the scavenger guild, who was clearly the one who almost killed the entire group but instead of getting arrested, Johnathan got defended by his guild.
'That bastard clearly the one who hires an assassin to kill me...' Steven thought.

[Host?] The mechanical voice suddenly spoke ending his stupor.

Steven then frowned while thinking about something.
