It was instantly followed by a rumble tumble rapid fire series of notes spiraling upwards.
Bang bang!
The hearts of everyone present, which had managed to calm down slightly during the abridged 2nd movement, leapt upwards in surprise.
Their jaws which had only very recently closed, dropped all the way to the ground once more.
They could not believe their eyes and ears!
When and where had such incredible music been created before?
It was completely unprecedented!
Even the most talented musical personage in the entire world could not play so well, much less create such a powerful piece.
"He must have an extraordinary teacher who is not only able to teach extremely well, but also create wonderful music like this. And that teacher must at least be 75 years old!" Was everyone's foregone conclusion.
The third movement was epic, to say the least.
If the first movement was an ethereal beauty walking slowly across a garden under the moonlit skies, then the third movement was a warrior princess!
Unstoppable, indomitable, wild and free!
Coupled with the white dragon of a grand piano, the overall effect was absolutely stunning!
Jordan Lin's fingers were a blur as they sped up and down the piano keys, and wave after wave of sheer audio cocaine blasted out of the grand piano.
At that moment, thousands upon thousands of listeners all across the country were in a complete mess.
Some were still crying.
Some were shouting Yes! Yes! Yes! In a strangely lewd manner that was actually quite inappropriate.
But most were frozen in disbelief and fear.
They could not believe what they were listening to was actually humanly possible.
And they were afraid that the song would end soon.
It's too beautiful! It's too epic! Don't! Don't let it end!! Ahhhh!!!
They all stopped whatever they were doing, much to the consternation of the people around them.
Mothers sweeping the floor at home froze mid sweep. "Mom? You ok?" Their toddlers asked.
Office workers typing up reports froze mid way. "Dude? Did you die?" Their colleagues asked.
Baristas making coffee froze mid pour. "Hey! Hey! My coffee!!" Their customers screamed.
But they were too mesmerized to care.
Moonlight Sonata in a world without Beethoven and other piano greats was just that mind blowingly good!
Alas! Every good thing must come to an end.
After seven minutes of rapture-like ecstasy, the music finally stopped.
Poof!
The bubble of wonder popped, and reality smashed into everyone like a speeding truck.
"Ahhhh!!! Why?! Why does it have to end so quickly?! What is the song title? Damn it Heartbreak FM! Be abit more professional and tell us the song title!"
"Oh god! Who the hell wrote that piece? Genius! Oh god! Was it you God?"
"Incredible. Incredible. Incredible. Incredible."
"I must have that song. I need it! I need it now! Quick call Heartbreak FM and ask them what that song's title is! Quick!"
Music fans listening to Heartbreak FM exploded into action.
And one more thing was also exploding.
It was Jordan Lin's Reputation Points!
Reputation + 1283
Reputation +2814
Reputation + 5392
Jordan Lin's reputation was climbing extremely quickly.
At the rate it was rising, he would definitely have enough to play another round of the Wheel of Fortune in a minute or so.
"Don't stop rising! Goooo my Reputation Points!" Jordan Lin shouted in his heart.
Alas, earning 100,000 Reputation Points was not so easily done.
Jordan Lin's Reputation Points stopped at 87,989.
"Ah, dang it. And the Mini Lucky Aura is over too." Jordan Lin sighed in regret.
He would have to grind it out for the next few days.
"Hilda! You're live! Say something!" Kamala Hellen hissed loudly and finally broke the awestruck silence that was in the studio.
"Ah! Yes! Oh my lord, that was some music huh? Our dearest listeners, I hope you enjoyed our Heartbreak FM's live music - our instrument of the week is the rarely used but very awesome piano!"
"F*ck your nanny! I don't need to know what the instrument was. Give me the song title, damn it!"
"Song title! Damn you Heartbreak FM! Song title!!"
The listeners were like drug addicts with their withdrawal symptoms switched on at full blast.
They needed to listen to the song again!
"Kid. What is your name? And what is the title of the song you just played?" Kamala Hellen appeared behind him and asked him softly.
"My name is Jordan Lin, and that song is called Moonlight Sonata." Jordan Lin replied with a smile.
He was feeling quite happy.
Of course he was, he had just earned a truckload of Reputation Points!
"You mind if we mention them on air? You should know that Heartbreak FM is a national radio. Even though we are not the most popular radio station, the whole country is listening to us. That's still tens of thousands of people."
"Sure. Why not?" Jordan Lin pretended to shrug nonchalantly.
But deep in his heart, he was exulting in joy!
Who would reject free publicity?
And more importantly…
Reputation points! HERE I COME!!!
Kamala Hellen nodded to Hilda the host, who nodded back in understanding.
"Ladies and gentlemen, if you enjoyed the music, feel free to look up our aspiring young musician - Jordan Lin! His piano piece earlier is called Moonlight Sonata. I must say that the name is perfect for the song, don't you agree? Alright, this is the end of our time together today. Don't forget to tune in again tomorrow, same time.
My name is Hilda Jackson, and I bid you all a good night."
"And we're off the air!" The Broadcast Director shouted. "Well done everyone!
"Pheeww! That was a good ending. Little bro, you're awesome!" Hilda Jackson took off her headset and gave Jordan Lin a massive smile and two thumbs up.
"Well done Hilda. You too, Jordan. You truly saved our asses today." Kamala Hellen started to clap.
The middle aged man with the headphones also started to clap vigorously.
Following that, everybody joined in and gave Jordan Lin a round of applause!
Well not everyone.
