Chapter 13: Yes! Money!

They walk towards a wooden stall that is sandwiched between two other buildings. Lily explains,

"This is a Merchant Stall. They are services that are operating under the King. They all look like this, so they should be easy to spot."

Saiba excitedly marches to the counter and says to the worker inside,

"Heya Mr. Merchant Stall! Can you please give me some money?"

The man inside replies,

"Of course! Just hand me the items you wish to sell and I will buy them in exchange for gold!"

Saiba pulls out his SI and presses the Inventory button. He hovers his finger over a bar called, [Slime Balls (x207)]. Some options pop-up that read,

[Take Out 1. Take Out 10. Take Out 100. Take Out All]

Saiba clicks [Take Out All], assuming it was the correct option. Suddenly, two-hundred seven balls of green sticky slime appear in Saiba's hand. As expected, it does not all fit in his hand and the overflow fills the space in front of the Merchant Stall. The worker inside says,

"Oh my! If you can start passing those to me and I can begin to cash them in."

Saiba, not knowing what to do, answers,

"Oh yeah! I'll do that..."

Lily is merely standing behind, watching the madness unfold. After a while, all the slime is cleared and Saiba gets four-hundred fourteen gold in return. The worker asks,

"Is that all for you today, sir?"

Saiba replies,

"Oh wait! I have some more!"

He goes back to his Inventory menu and pulls out the drops he got from defeating Coroner. The worker looks surprised,

"Oh my! Is this from the King Slime?"

He starts to take the items while counting out the gold he is going to trade. Saiba has a confident smile as he takes the one-hundred gold. Lastly, he pulls out all the drops he got from the Lycan Forest and lays them on the counter. The worker observes the selection while saying,

"Hm... What do we have here? Some wolf skin... wolf fangs... and..."

The worker looks even more surprised as he says,

"Wolf skin and wolf fangs from the Ragnis the Alpha Wolf!? That's quite a surprise!"

Saiba blushes from the compliment this time as the worker begins counting the gold once again. The total is one-hundred twenty-five gold pieces this time. Saiba takes all the gold he just received and holds it up in the air while shouting,

"Finally! Some money!"

He puts it in his inventory and his balance changes from five-hundred gold to one-thousand one-hundred sixty-nine.

Lily goes next and trades in all the items she got from fighting the wolves. Her balance increases by two-hundred, turning into fourteen-thousand nine-hundred twenty. Lily starts walking back to Saiba as he suggests,

"Let's go get some Graystone now!"

Saiba gets ready to run away when Lily grabs him by the robe. Lily shouts,

"Where do you think you're going! You don't even know how or where to get Graystone!"

Saiba thinks and says,

"Oh you're right! So, how do I get Graystone?"

Lily sighs then explains,

"There's a large town that's West of here called [Axium City]. They're known for being the hub of trade and housing the only Graystone mine in the Kingdom. It's going to take about 5 days to get there by foot so we're going by hogback."

Saiba tries to imagine what riding on pigs would be like. Lily adds,

"That should reduce the travel time by 2 days. Once we get there, we have to talk to one of Geoffried's friends. A miner named Jack. They're gonna help us find some Graystone."

Saiba says,

"Jack huh... He sounds like a pretty cool dude! Alright! When do we leave?"

Lily answers,

"Tomorrow at sunrise! Geoffried got one of his friends to lend us some pigs for our journey. They'll be waiting for us at the Western Gate, so you better not be late!"

Saiba nods and they head back to the inn and go to their separate rooms. Saiba gets into bed and imagines riding on a pig. This makes him laugh as he slowly laughs himself to sleep.
