Chapter19-The New Protagonist, David's Beginnings

At this moment, the Despair Black Dragon God Nidhogg appeared stunned. Then, in the next instant, it chose to "self-destruct," dissolving into several pieces of darkness scattering into the distance.

Elemental Dragon God Fafnir breathed a sigh of relief, but Alan noticed something amiss. He swiftly captured two pieces of the "darkness."

This wasn't self-destruction, but a survival tactic. Nidhogg had divided its essence into five parts. Having captured two, Alan watched as they reformed into dragons in his hands. These smaller black dragons, now smaller than the original Nidhogg, looked slightly different and eyed Alan with a tinge of fear.

Alan quickly assessed the strength of these two fragment-formed dragons, finding them to be mere 3-star divine dragons. 

He couldn't help but sarcastically comment on Nidhogg's cunning tactics, which seemed to deliberately slow down some fragments, allowing Alan to capture them. 

These two 3-star black dragon gods represented only a fraction of Nidhogg's full power.

However, seeing these two 3-star black dragon gods, partial manifestations of Nidhogg's power, Alan promptly utilized the Beast Taming System. 

In an instant, he maximized their affinity points, and the dragons submitted to him obediently.

"Interesting," mused the Almighty God Alan. He had intended to tame the Despair Black Dragon God Nidhogg, but it had chosen to self-destruct and reassemble, preferring escape to capture. 

This meant Nidhogg wouldn't reach its former strength for hundreds, maybe thousands of years. Additionally, even if it reassembled, it would lack the two essential pieces of its original power. 

The situation of these two black dragons with Alan would also be relayed back to Nidhogg, likely causing a complex reaction.

Pondering this, Alan eventually left the draconic forbidden zone with Elemental Dragon God Fafnir. 

However, he didn't immediately leave the Divine Realm. Many gods, like Nidhogg, had chosen to seclude themselves in forbidden areas. 

Most were 9-star deities with significant awareness. Among them were entities older than the Ancient Ones, titans from ancient times, and bizarre outer gods from other dimensions.

These deities, in the Divine Realm plane of what is now known as the Eternal Continent, struggled to adapt, their powers capped at a 9-star deity level. However, they were still scheming in the shadows.

Originally, under Alan's purge, each of these gods suffered severe injuries and a significant loss of vitality. 

They adopted a division method similar to that of the Despair Black Dragon God Nidhogg, splitting themselves into many pieces before gradually reassembling.

During the sweep conducted by Alan and Elemental Dragon God Fafnir, some of these divine fragments were discovered and subsequently controlled by Alan. 

He naturally used his system abilities to acquire some of their powers, such as the Despair Black Dragon's "Corrosion" and the gigantic-eyed dark god's "Ghostly Illusion Realm," among others.

However, these abilities were somewhat lacking compared to the nine grand divine powers Alan currently wielded. Each of Alan's divine powers had been obtained by defeating numerous gods possessing similar powers. 

Although the newly acquired Beast Taming System allowed Alan to derive some divine power skills from the godly fragments, these were incomplete and only marginally better than nothing.

Even with the concept of accumulating small gains, the current quantity seemed insufficient. 

Although the powers gained from these divine fragments were fragmented, some were useful, especially when Alan suppressed his supreme divine power. 

He could retain some divine power skills acquired from other gods, allowing him to appear less like the Almighty God, the God of Light, and more like other deities.

This was a strategy in its own right.

Certainly, Alan, now at the rank of the Almighty God, felt that there was still a higher tier beyond his current state, but he was unsure how to reach it. 

In the Divine Realm, there was a special area known as the Eternal Crystal Wall. This wall, housing a treasure, remained unopened even by Alan, which led to its naming. 

Alan believed that, being either naturally formed or artificially created, it should be possible to open it.

He speculated that his next advancement might involve breaking through the constraints of the Eternal Crystal Wall. 

Upon analysis, Alan surmised that the wall was composed of numerous planar fragments, arranged to form a crystal-like barrier. Perhaps, with further progression, he might be able to open it and discover what lay beyond.

Behind the Eternal Crystal Wall, there were items of unknown origin, including a mysterious sword and a chest, which intrigued Alan. 

He guessed they might be from another plane, but only by breaking the wall could he learn more about them.

After a satisfying sweep of the Divine Realm's forbidden zones, Alan, leaving the deities trembling in his wake, returned to the Human World, arriving in Beaconburg. 

There, Vina presented him with a new 'chosen one.'

Looking at the youth brought by Vina, the paladin leader, Alan noticed the young man's pale complexion and non-pure human ancestry. 

This delighted Alan, as the youth was a protagonist, and uniquely, not of pure human descent. This added a new dimension to Alan's encounters with protagonists.

"Divine Lord Alan," Vina began with deep respect, "I followed your guidance to the secret locations of the demon race treasures. 

There, we discovered this individual who had already taken the items. Capturing him, I brought him here to present to you."

Alan nodded, his expression indicating approval. "That's exactly as it should be," he said. "Well done, Vina."

He then turned his attention to the pale, strikingly attractive man standing before him. The man was a half-vampire, a rare blend of human and vampire bloodlines.

Alan examined his unique cheat. This individual could assimilate demonic substances, transforming his body partially into a demonic form while his mind remained uncorrupted. 

Additionally, the cheat had endowed him with an acute sensitivity to demonic energies, enabling him to effortlessly track down demonic presences.

This protagonist, David, had fused several extraordinary elements into his being: the bloodline of a vampire, the wings of a lower demon, eyes of a netherworld demon, the skin of a snow demon, and even a fragment of a demon's personality. 

He also possessed an exceptional spatial golden ring, which housed a plethora of valuable magical artifacts.

Upon sensing the demonic personality within David, Alan's thoughts immediately went back to the first protagonist cheat he had obtained. 

It was a necklace capable of absorbing negative demonic and dark personas. This recollection sparked an intriguing connection in Alan's mind.

At that moment, Alan detected a familiar aura emanating from David. It seemed that the dark persona and demonic consciousness of a previous protagonist, Little Robert, which had been segregated by the cheat necklace, had somehow merged back with his main entity. 

The memories linked to the hidden treasures, too, appeared to be influenced by a dark god or the will of one of the Ancient Ones who had harnessed demonic powers.

Alan's encounter with David, a protagonist with a combination of vampire and demonic traits, added a significant piece to the puzzle he was piecing together. 

Each protagonist he came across had unique abilities and connections, broadening Alan's understanding of the complex dynamics between divine, demonic, and mystical forces in the Eternal Continent and beyond.

The realization that these protagonists, each bearing distinct cheats and powers, were interconnected in ways yet to be fully understood, intrigued Alan. 

This intricate web of protagonists, cheats, and hidden powers was a testament to the depth and complexity of the world he inhabited. 

It was a world where divine, demonic, and mystical forces intertwined in an eternal dance, with each protagonist playing a critical role in this grand narrative. 

Alan's journey through the Divine Realm and his encounters with these diverse characters were not just about power and conquest; they were about understanding the very fabric of this multifaceted universe.

Alan's ability to perceive and manipulate these forces placed him in a unique position. He was not just a participant in this cosmic game but also a shaper of its outcomes. 

With each protagonist he encountered and each cheat he unraveled, Alan moved closer to uncovering the ultimate truths of his existence and the world around him.
