Chapter13-Gaining Control of the Wordless Wonderscroll Cheat, Mass Producing Magic Potions

The pages inside were all blank. 

As Alan spoke and inquired, the Wordless Wonderscroll showed no response. 

Indeed, it was as Alan had expected – the "cheat" seemed to be bound to its host. 

This meant that aside from Modi, nobody else's inquiries or writings could yield the desired magic potion recipes.

However, Alan realized something else.

Satisfied, Alan nodded to himself in approval.

At this moment, Modi, suspended in mid-air, resembled a fish on a chopping board, his eyes swirling with endless despair. 

This was because he had just felt his memories being directly accessed by the being enveloped in light before him, yet he was utterly powerless to resist. 

It was as if he was a mere observer, watching a chef or a doctor dissect him.

Soon, a message appeared on his panel:

[Your cheat, the Wordless Wonderscroll, has been taken out of your control.]

Hearing this, Modi was stunned, his heart plunging into an abyss. 

Although he was already captured and the being before him, suspected to be the Lord of Beaconburg, was apparently an antagonist, Modi had hoped that if he still had utility and the antagonist scornfully underestimated him, he might be allowed to live and grow stronger before being harvested. 

Or perhaps, he could be forced to serve the Lord using his cheat, the Wordless Wonderscroll.

However, now that his cheat had been completely taken over by this antagonist, it meant that Modi had lost all his utility. 

He had become like the other indigenous NPCs in his eyes, disposable and easily exterminated. 

For this powerful entity before him, killing him would be as effortless as wiping away dust.

In his despair, Modi could only think of awaiting his demise, having even been deprived of the right to speak.

But soon after, Alan glanced at Modi beside him, seeing the look of utter despair on his face.
