Chapter III

"Mom, I'm home!" I go straight to my room to changed clothes. From school uniform, I'm currently wearing black hoodie and a sweat pants. I stared at myself on a whole body mirror.

My eyes locked up to the snake-shaped, emerald-colored necklace that's currently hanging on my neck. I've always wondered, where did I got this? As much as I wanted to remove it, my heart can't handle it.

There was a time that I purposely removed the necklace for the whole day, and my heart hurts too much that I had to wait for the vacant hours and go back home just to wear it.

I also tried asking my mother about this but neither her doesn't know anything about this. "Aria, dinner is almost ready can you buy tofu and cola?" My mom knocked, I nod my head and follow her instructions.

I go by the nearest grocery store in our town and bought the things my mom wants. I also roam around the market and look for food I'll be storing inside my mini refrigerator.

I bought myself lots of snacks and decided to get fruits as well, while strolling around I saw green apple and my heart aches once again. I forcefully stopped myself from letting out a tears from my eyes.

I turned my back once I got watermelon slices. As I walk back home, my stomach let out a weird sound. I've decided to grab one of the foods I bought for myself, I'm hungry.

I took a bite of the green apple I grabbed a while ago. Hmm, that's sour but I'm loving it. "Mom, I'm back." I go straight to the kitchen to give my mother the tofu she asked for, I even put the cola inside the chiller so it will be cold when it will be serve later.

I have also decided to go back to my room and put the chocolates, different drinks and fruits inside my refrigerator. Lastly, is my snacks. I put it inside the food storage box I bought myself that is besides my study table.

One done, I grabbed one of my favorite book that is chillin' on my library. It took about fifteen minutes when mom called me for dinner. I packed away my book on my study table and decides to get out to eat.

"Hi my sweet little girl." He kissed the top of my head and offers me a chair. "Thank you." She also offers mom a seat before sitting down. "How's your day princess?" He asked. I just shrugged my shoulders as a reply.

Mom let out a sigh. "Daily lives, I guess?" We continue eating with silence. While mom is fixing and washing dishes. I've decided to watch tv when he sats down besides me. "Hey there my princess." He said and messed up my hair.

"Stop it bro! I'm not a little kid anymore." I said irritatingly, he then glared at me. "But you're still my princess!" He shouted. I glared back at him and he just chuckled. He leaned his back on the chair.

"Is she still the same?" He keep his eyes on the tv but we both know that his focus is not really watching it. I opened up his arms so I can lean on his shoulder. "Yes, I guess there's no way we can be friends anymore." He kissed the top of my head and hugged me tight.

I smiled, it looks like I will always be a princess of this man right here. I woke up on my bed the next morning. I looked up to the clock on the top side of my door. "7:00 o'clock." I murmured.

I stood up and prepare doing some exercises. I picked up my phone and opened the app that will count how many kilometer can I run for the whole exercise. "Hi mom, good morning. Where's Hiro?" I kissed mom's cheek.

"He's probably still asleep, he carried you last night did you know?" I smiled and grabbed water bottle. "It's his fault, he says I'm his princess." I bids farewell and put my earphone on my ear.

I jog and run as much as I can, I stopped on one of the benches around the park. I inhaled and exhaled softly, when I feel someone tapped my shoulder. I looked up to the person and it's her.

"Hello, Aria." It's the girl who asked Ashe about the rumor of me and her. I blankly stared at her, and removed one of the earphone on my right ear. "What is it?" I asked. "Do you mind if I come with you?" I frowned.

"What do you want?" I asked because she's acting suspicious. "I just want to be friends with you." I frowned once more. "And what? Are you telling me you're risking being bullied as well?" I asked the obvious, if she befriend me she'll be automatically bullied by Ashe as well.

"I don't mind." She genuinely smiled. This must be one of another tactics Ashe has. I decided to turn my back around her and proceed jogging. "Do you like reading? I saw you reading Nightmares last week!" She's on my right side.

My heart feels a badump, I looked up to her and saw her eyes twinkling. "It's my favorite book, it's all about a boy-" I was cut off by her. "Who fell in love with a nerdy girl, everyone disagrees and the girl-" she looked up to me, I smiled. "She died."

"Right! I also love that book, I love with how they torture the girl then the boy came to rescue the girl!" She's almost shouting. "Hey? Are you crying?" I touched my cheek and there really is a tear on my cheek. "I'm just affected, remembering how she broke his heart."

We reached our house and bids goodbye. "Aria, is that you? Take a bath now! It will be time to eat!" I put away my sneakers on the shoe box and go straight to the room. I did a fast bath and blow dry my hair.

I was about get out of the room when I saw my favorite book lighting up on my study table.
