17. Stephen's Status

(Lucifer POV)

I watched these scenes unfold before me, the same as before the so-called father of mine stood up for the defence of Albert under the request of Sarah.

If my potential was destroyed then also he won't care about a single bit and will speak in Albert's defence saying that the family can't afford to lose any more geniuses.

I closed my eyes for a while to not let my emotions out of control and calmly looked at the proceedings, with the majority on Ares' side he once again won this debate.

No matter what, I can see why Ares is winning the elections for the position of patriarch even if he isn't as strong as his competitor and my aunt Emma.

Opening my eyes after calming my emotions I just looked at the proceedings quietly, my grandfather and aunt both were fighting for my sake.

After it was cleared that Lucifer's awakening potential is completely damaged both of them were sad about this, they were the only one to care about Lucifer in this entire Morrison family but later Stephen died which is in a few months from now, due to an injury he got during his prime.

Emma also after Stephen's death left the Morrison family to travel and died at the hands of one of the villains at the later parts of the novel, she wasn't someone important in the novel and was just introduced for the 3 chapters only to be killed.

The previous Lucifer's emotions for them are complicated, they do care about him then also as childish it may sound but Lucifer also partly blamed them for his misfortune as until their deaths he didn't know how they felt towards him as they also never came near him but always looked at him from far.

Looking at his grandfather who looked so energetic no one could believe that he would die in just a few months.

Looking at his status I was left speechless, though I certainly knew about his rank but no one knew of his status but the titles especially the spirit master caught my interest and not to say about the 7 ☆ mana control technique.

The Morrison family being one of the strongest has their hands over the strongest techniques on the planet, but having 7 ☆ technique is really shocking, if the wind goes out I don't know how many powers will start wars for getting this technique.

Next is spirit magic, the almost extinct magic which no one knew of only the protagonist was able to get his hands over the spirit magic through his system which became his greatest cheat against others but my grandfather had this too and also made a contract with a real spirit.

Even if it's a lesser spirit this is simply an epic, my curiosity over my new grandfather grew even more and mentally noted to have a talk with him.

Finally the debate ended and they reached a conclusion for letting us younger ones decide on this matter.

I gave a nod to my grandfather who looked at me giving him my approval and he allowed us to decide.

Walking down the steps towards the centre of the hall where I stood on the other side of Albert who was crying with joy as he was surrounded by everyone and some were even smirking at me.

'Haha they literally have no idea what they have signed up for'

Looking at Sarah the disgust filled my heart.

'Hey system can I kill Sarah now?'
