15 15. Stephen Morrison

Entering the hall Lucifer was greeted by the sight of a golden throne room where in the highest seat an old man sat there with a stoic face but looking closely when he saw Lucifer entering the throne room a small smile appeared on his face and his eyebrows were raised for a second.

'He finally decided to take off that mask'

He was none other than the patriarch of the Morrison family and also the 9th strongest human on the planet, Stephen Morrison.

Near his throne on the second highest seat sat Ares who was also a bit surprised seeing Lucifer without a mask and besides him sat Elizabeth who was also surprised seeing Lucifer and in her mind yesterday's incident replayed an indescribable feeling rose in her heart.

Ares who learnt about Lucifer's behaviour from his wife whom he dearly loved saw her wife's changing expression and frowned at Lucifer with displeasure.

Near their seat was Emma's place who was the second strongest in the Morrison family next only to her father and patriarch Stephen.

All around the room many of the important people of the Morrison family sat on their seats surrounded by their families and the important or main branch members.

Most of the younger generation also arrived at the hall and Sarah was also present and was looking at the Lucifer with a frown on her face which she quickly hid.

She was surrounded by her close friends who were also the children of the important individuals of the Morrison Family.

Ares and Elizabeth's negligence of Lucifer went unnoticed by them but it didn't escape the eyes of others, because of this reason they had always favoured Sarah and asked their children to do so as she was the most favoured child of the supposed to be future patriarch.

Entering Lucifer didn't greet the other elders like others which nobody minded as everyone knew of his cold attitude.

Looking at everyone present in the hall Stephen took his pose and let out his aura of a SS Rank and spoke with an authoritative pose.

"As you all know today was supposed to be the award ceremony of the tournament we held and also would be deciding the new heir for the patriarch position. But..."

Stephen's eyes became cold as he looked at the brown haired boy with golden eyes and curly hair standing near Sarah with his head down and trembling as Stephen's aura became more violent causing everyone to gulp as they saw Albert the culprit started to kneel on the ground as he could not take over the pressure that was solely concentrated on him.

"..as everyone knows about yesterday's events we would be delaying the award ceremony."

"Yesterday young Albert used the prohibited soul bombs on Lucifer, everyone knows the consequences of getting harm by the soul bomb as an non Awakener but thankfully due to the Lucifer's innate ability he survived"

Innate abilities are the special abilities some talented people are born with and instead of using the mana likes mana skills it works mysteriously and these abilities can be used regardless of whether a person is awakened or not.

Yesterday when Lucifer miraculously got his soul repaired everyone assumed that this was Lucifer's innate ability and Lucifer also didn't bother to clarify it as it would be better for no one to know about his secrets.

"Albert"

Stephen called out to Albert as he removed his pressure from him.

"Gasp..Gasp"

Albert who was called when the pressure was released, was finally able to breathe and looked at the patriarch in the horror.

"Albert"

Albert looked over at Sarah and others but they couldn't do anything, the girl with blonde hair and brown eyes standing nearest to Sarah nodded at him as she looked at him with concern.

Taking it as the sign Albert went towards the centre of the hall where a golden magic circle glowed beneath his feet.

He was still trembling and his eyes were filled with tears.

The only hope that kept him from breaking down was the words of his girlfriend.

"Albert, you tried to harm another contestant in the tournament, according to the rules of family this heinous crime of yours you will be exiled from the Morrison family for forever"

Stephen was extremely pissed off because Albert as Lucifer was the only grandson of his, though because of the duties of being a patriarch he was unable to give him time and also knew about his son and daughter-in-law's negligence and was disappointed with them.

Stephen wanted to make Albert suffer a hell before finally killing him but unfortunately for him he was bound by the rules of family where he can't be impartial against anyone.

"Do you have anything to say in your defence?"

"I-I-"

"I object to your decision, patriarch"
