Crown Prince Alexander muttered to himself, "It must be her. I haven't seen her for so many years, but it seems like she has changed a lot."
He was deep in thought when he suddenly heard someone calling out his name. It was the vice-principal, Claire, walking towards him, accompanied by a man with striking blue eyes.
"Your Highness, good to see you," greeted Claire, smiling.
Alexander nodded in return and looked at the man. Their eyes met, and a flicker happened between them. They instantly realized that they didn't like each other.
"Who is this man?" asked Alexander, nodding towards the stranger.
Claire replied, "This is William, the captain of the Silver Knights."
Alexander's eyes widened in realization, and he said, "Ah, I've heard about you before. Nice to finally meet you, Captain."
William nodded, his expression remaining stoic. "Likewise, Your Highness," he replied curtly.
Alexander sensed that the conversation was becoming tense and decided to excuse himself.
"Well, I must be on my way to class now. Good day to you both," he said politely.
Claire and William also bid their goodbyes to the prince as he walked away. Alexander couldn't help but wonder why there was such tension between him and William.
He had heard stories about the Silver Knights being a group of elite warriors who were fiercely loyal to the kingdom. Perhaps that was the reason behind William's demeanor.
As Alexander walked to his classroom, he thought about the task at hand. Today was his first day as the final year student representative, and he had a lot of work to do. He had to organize events and activities for the students, as well as ensure that the academy was running smoothly.
As he entered his classroom, he was greeted by his classmates, who all stood up in respect. Alexander took his seat at the front of the room and began to address the students.
"Good morning, everyone. As you all know, I have been appointed as the representative for Class-A for this academic year again. I look forward to working with all of you to make this year a memorable one."
As the students cheered, Alexander couldn't help but notice a woman standing at the back of the crowd.
The woman had long, flowing dark hair that cascaded down her back in loose waves. Her skin was a smooth, honeyed caramel, and her features were sharp and angular, giving her an air of elegance and sophistication. She wore a fitted navy suit that hugged her curves in all the right places, with a crisp white blouse underneath.
Alexander recognized her immediately as Isadora, his fiancée. He knew that she must have heard about the incident earlier this morning, and he averted his gaze from hers, not wanting to meet her eyes. He could feel her staring at him, and he knew that he was in for a difficult conversation later.
Meanwhile, one of the girls surrounding Isadora whispered something in her ear, causing her face to turn bright red.
"What did you say?" she asked sharply.
The girl repeated herself, this time a little louder. "I said, Your Highness is feeling guilty, that's why he's looking away so quickly."
Isadora's eyes widened in surprise, and then narrowed with suspicion. "Is that so?" she muttered to herself, her voice low and dangerous.
The news of the crown prince visiting a first-year student alone had already spread throughout the academy, and Isadora felt that it was a personal insult to her.
Isadora couldn't help but think that Alexander was not acting the way a prince should. He didn't seem to care about his image and reputation, which was something that she had always been careful to uphold.
As Isadora stood at the back of the classroom, she made up her mind to confront the first-year girl later.
"I can't believe he's spending time with a first-year student. Doesn't he know how a prince should behave?" Isadora muttered to herself, her frustration evident in her voice.
The surrounding girls echoed her thoughts, discussing how the Crown Prince's behavior was unacceptable.
"Agreed, Lady Isadora. This is outrageous," said one of the girls, nodding.
Suddenly, a knock on the door interrupted their conversation. The commotion died down to silence, and everyone turned to face the door.
It was Vice Principal Claire. "May I come in?" she asked politely.
"Of course," Alexander replied, standing up to greet her.
Claire smiled at him before turning her attention to the students. "I have an important announcement to make. Starting this semester, we will be introducing classes on how to protect yourselves against melee attacks and sneak attacks when you are out of mana or in a situation where you cannot use it."
The students looked at each other in surprise. This was a sudden change in the curriculum.
"For this reason, we will be appointing new teachers who specialize in these areas. You will meet them soon," continued Claire.
Isadora frowned. She was not happy with this announcement. She preferred to focus on her studies rather than wasting time on such unnecessary classes. She turned to her friends and whispered, "This is ridiculous. We don't need these classes. It's a waste of our time."
The other girls nodded in agreement. But Isadora knew that she would have to attend these classes if they were mandatory. She made a mental note to talk to her father about this later.
