Creak~

A door opened to a dim room as a tall figure entered with slow steps.

The figure sighed as he proceeded to turn on the light switch that was glowing in a dim blue hue, seemingly powered by mana.

Tap~

The light bulb at the center of the room's ceiling emitted light that chased away all the dimness of the room.

The light also shone on the figure, revealing Arthur's features that were filled with longing. As if he was reminiscing about his past.

He looked around the room and saw various items glowing in different colors such as books, weapons, equipment and many more.

This room is the storage room located in the basement of the dilapidated building where Arthur placed all the inheritances he had with him when he settled down in this location.

Walking around the storage room, Arthur's eyes flashed with melancholy as he remembered the struggles he had gone through just to take away these inheritances to safety.

He shook his head in order to clear his mind and focused on the task in hand.

Arthur was thinking of the best items that could help Zen.

Although it was only a short time since they met, he felt comfortable with Zen's personality. He does not know the exact reason except for the fact that he feels close to him.

Especially those determined and desperate eyes of his.

Those eyes made Arthur remember the past vividly.

'I think that I'm reminiscing way too frequently recently, huh…'

He guessed that the reason for his bias towards Zen was because of the fact that they are alike.

As such, he felt the urge to help Zen in the best way he can. Because in Arthur's eyes, it was as if he was helping his past self.

Dazedly walking around the storage room, Arthur did not notice that he had arrived at the furthest section of the room.

He soon came to his senses at the sight of a door that was sealed with a complicated pattern made with runes glowing in a bright orange hue, as if it would burst in flames at any second.

The sight of this door caused a strange expression to appear on Arthur's face.

Behind this door was the most dangerous inheritance left behind by the Fire God.

'It's too soon…'

Remembering Zen's regeneration talent, Arthur shook his head and thought as he glanced at the door before turning in another direction.

He continued to walk around the storage room in hopes of finding something that can help Zen in the best possible way.

Soon enough, Arthur set his eyes on a few glowing items and decided to take them before leaving the storage room.

***

Zen was laying down on a bench with a cloth over his eyes, still resting while patiently waiting for Arthur.

Tap~ Tap~

Zen removed the cloth on his eyes as he heard Arthur's footsteps.

He sat up properly and squinted his eyes as he looked at his teacher who had a grin on his face.

"What made you so happy?"

Zen asked while rubbing his eyes.

Arthur pulled a chair and sat in front of Zen as he replied, "Well, I was astounded by your determination so I prepared something for my beloved apprentice~"

Zen's eyes snapped open as he anticipated his teacher's next words.

Arthur chuckled, clearly pleased by his student's expression.

"Yup, you guessed it right. It can make you stronger way faster."

Looking at Arthur, Zen said with an excited expression, "Really!?"

"Yes. Since I am pleased by your qualities, I decided to increase my investment in you."

Zen did not know if this was Arthur's only reason or if he had some ulterior motives. But still, he did not mind if he could become stronger in return.

Arthur decided to stop teasing Zen as two glowing books appeared with a wave of his hand.

The books landed on the table in between the teacher and the student.

Seeing this Zen was shocked and asked, "Is that something like a spatial storage?"

He could not help but remember the countless novels that he read. Almost all of them have the idea of spatial storage in the form of belts, pouches and rings which are the most common!

Arthur was pleased as he saw Zen's reaction.

He coughed a little to maintain his image and to hide his smile before saying, "Oh this? Yes it is something like that. Don't worry though, I'll give you yours when the time comes."

Zen could not be bothered by his teacher's pretentiousness and was overwhelmed with excitement instead.

His eyes sparkled as he could not help but imagine how cool he would be if he really had something like a spatial storage.

The thought of something appearing on his hand suddenly as he heard the shocked gazes of his little sister was amazing!

'Heh…'

After letting his thoughts run wild for a while, Zen noticed the books that were on the table in front of him.

He noticed that they were both glowing in a purple hue. It made him more excited because with his experiences in games, the color of the item meant something about their grade!

Seeing Zen's eager expression, Arthur smiled and said, "Go on and learn them. These skill books aren't meant to be stared at, silly."

Glancing at his teacher, Zen nodded happily and took one of the books.

[Cold Weapon Mastery

Grade: Epic

Tier: Top

Beginner Proficiency: 0.00%

Description:

The mastery over all kinds of cold weapons.]

'Hah! I was right! This purple color really meant that it is an item of the epic grade!'

Zen excitedly thought as he observed the skill book's details.

However, he soon noticed the description of the skill, causing him to have mixed feelings.

He understood that it was an epic grade skill and that it was very precious. But… he was wondering why the description looked so simple.

Arthur chuckled as soon as he saw Zen's expression. He knew it all too well because that was also his reaction when he first stumbled upon the skill book.

Arthur then said in a meaningful voice, "Are you thinking that the skill is too simple?"

Zen nodded with a confused expression.
